I often wonder at least once a year, “What’s a birthday and why is it so important?”
I spent a couple hours researching “Birthday” and came up with interesting results.
(Look it up sometime, you won’t regret it.)
I’ve noticed when you’re younger it’s a countdown of anticipation towards the day of
presents cake and ice cream and an off day from the normal. Younger people
anticipate the moment they can utter “and a half” to their age.
Then there are “Milestone” ages. 18 the large one, being the default adulthood start
age; Then there is 21, the legal drinking and gambling age. But what’s after 21? 26
where insurance starts reducing because that’s the magic year when people start
driving safer? Witch I personally can debunk ninja .
So for those older, its no longer anticipation, it’s more loathing and dread.
sweatdrop Struggling till the last day to acknowledge you’re a day older.
I personally believe you are as old as you feel. So for those that hear me say I’m
29, that’s why. This year I will be abused at gaming tonight because not only am I
turning a year older <Still 29 ninja > But I will be spending it with the fine group
of misfits I refer to with pride as my friends heart . Allot has happened over this
last year, but the one thing I will always remember is the friends and family that
have been there with me for it all biggrin .
