Honestly, I feel Gaia is kinda stuck.
Stuck inbetween being a more mature website and being a more childish one.
I mean alot of the site is filled with Child-like threads while the Rest is being Flooded with more "Mature" Materials, like Porn. I put Mature in Quotes for a Reason. Where as there are some, small corners of the site where people are REALLY Mature, they are not the Spammers, the Hackers, the Porn-Bringers of the rest of the site. No they are people who are actually here because they love this site, be they Newbie or Oldbie; be they Young or Old in RL.
Now, these changes which are occuring does signal a change in direction. A Fresh Start for Gaia. However it is in our hands as The User to actually make this place better.
Lets try and clean up places like the GD, which honestly is so amazing in how far and fast in has fallen into disrepair.
Lets try and practice good Usership here folks, be kind to your fellow users and help get rid of those who are polluting Gaia with worthless things.
Lets try and stop whining. Instead, take action! Make threads worth going into, Guilds worth posting in, RP's that have quality and Discussion that is thought provoking! It is useless to whine about what is, rather it is better to change what we can and do our part to make Gaia the Website and Community we want it to be.
[*Is sounding like A Gaia-Version of Al Gore*, lol... Clean up your En-Gai-roment?]
Anyway, my fellow Gaians. I've been here for afew years now and you know what, I think this place has changed. But what concerns me more are the choices that will come. Shall we let this place become what we dislike? Shall we let Gaia die inside? Or shall we clean it up and make it worthy of all the praise and fame it seems to be getting.

Oh and to Laurentia, I totally agree. The Layout changes as well as games, flash and the like are all kool with me. It's the changes within the forums and the loss of true conherence and intelligence in various places of it which bothers me. Now sorry if I sound elitist for saying that but come on... We can do better and it lays on us, not the Mods or Admins to bring about the real change.
Admins can make updates and Mods can delete threads, but only the User can stop their creation. Look at the GD for God Sake, I hadn't been in there in awhile but I just took a look and by the Gods! It's Madness!
Only Good Usership and True Action to make better postings can redeem such a place.

People have changed, as has the Site and that is all fine and good.
It's the increase in Spam, Porn and etc. which bothers me. It wasn't this bad in past years, as usually it was confined to the CB and no one really cared otherwise. Now it's spread outward and the only place it hasn't gotten to in a large extent is.. well the GDC, where actionless whining rules the day.
My point, from all I've posted is: If your gonna whine, actually do something and make things that you feel are worthwhile on the site instead of just looking around for something to just pityfully cry about.
Personally when I post, rarely on the forums of late, I try to make it something of interest to me and fitting to that forum, rather than just complaining or filling the place with waste posts of Spam and etc. Now I know, this is kinda complaining too... but I'm just so tired of seeing so many complaint threads about Gaia and just wish people would spend their time trying to post things which actually matter to the fourm their in instead of whining or spamming.
