I don't think I talked about what I've done since I got back to the good ol' US of A, but... The day after getting back (the 4th of July), I went to a little celebration right here in town. My Dad decided to volunteer for Vermont Right To Marry, which is campaigning for gay marriage in Vermont (we have Civil Unions, but not full Marriage). Well, I decided to go with my Dad. I didn't wanna be stuck at home on a nice 4th of July day, you know? And it was my first day back, and I wanted to get out an DO something!
So anyway, this girl decided to come and sign up. Total cutie, name of Sophie, with big beautiful blond dreads (don't you just love alliteration?). So we talked for a bit, but then you know, she went off with her friends (totally understandable, haha!). But later, she came back (as I was hoping she would the entire time), and we talked some more. Then there was a little contest to guess music (they'd play 10 seconds or so of a song, and you'd give the name and artist), and she invited me onto her team. And we played, and it owned, and I got her number (wow, never done THAT one before).
Anyway, we played phone and email tag for a long while, and then eventually got together last night to watch some movies. We really only got to watch Borat (sooo good) because she had to work in the morning and we got a late start, but... I can tell you, I'm totally crazy about this girl. I'm pretty sure it's going on a good path, and...yeah. Everything just seemed to click.
I'm so happy right now, it's just unreal. Everything has been going right since I got back from France, and despite all the s**t at home over there, I had a wonderful experience, especially with my friends. Thank you, to everyone, for all the positives in my life. =D
