***UPDATE (read below)
So some of you may wonder (probably not, since there was no indication to the contrary), "why isn't Chrono back in the States?!" ...Well, let me just say, today has been total and complete hell. No, I didn't decide to live here (not yet, anyway). Let me tell you all about it...
Today I get to the airport in Strasbourg to pick up my ticket. It was reserved in January, and we confirmed that it was there waiting for me a week ago (last Tuesday). I had my bags with me, my passport, papers, itinerary. Really, everything was set to go. When I go to try to pick up my ticket, though, the problem begins.
They tell me that three days ago (June 29th), my reservation was suddenly cancelled. Ok, stop for one second. Cancelled...? CANCELLED? How the HELL is my reservation CANCELLED THREE DAYS BEFORE I'M SET TO LEAVE? Ok, so how did this happen? Who the hell cancelled my reservation? The airline, most likely, that can happen, right? No, apparently, it was my travel agent back in the USA who cancelled. But wait a second, normally they give a reason when that happens, or something. ...No, she gave no reason whatsoever, and even signed off on the cancellation.
So, I'm gonna give it simple. I don't know what the ******** is gonna happen. I called my Dad and the last I heard he was at the travel agency figuring something out. But seriously, this is ********. ******** to the tenth degree. We'll see what happens. But I guess that's life, eh?
It's just really, absolutely messed up... Yesterday I got everything prepared, everything ready, I said goodbye to my friends, I was on the edge of tears the whole day, I was completely, totally prepared to leave, and then BAM, I can't. That has a real psychological impact on you...
...I'm not sure what else to say... I hope everything can be worked out...

*** So apparently, it wasn't the travel agency. It was the ******** airport at Strasbourg. They ******** me over, and it's not the first time. When I arrived, they told my host family that I was never on any flight from Boston, even though I most certainly was. My plane was delayed, but I got there, late, but yeah... Anyway, the point is, I've been ******** over here, and I really hope I can get on a flight tomorrow and be back home. I love France and all, but after today, I'm ready to go home. I can feel it, it's time. ...Hope for me, you all.
*** If all goes well, I'll be home today (Tuesday, July 3rd) at 9pm EST. My Dad faught like I knew he would, and so did our travel agency, and everything's worked out. I just hope I don't get refused at the ******** airport a second time. If that happens, I'm gonna ******** sue.
