It is very clear that by Gluttony's size, he was either born that way...or he eats a lot. Which is the case...
Gluttony is also the pet of the hotest character in the FMA series!
In the later episodes of the series, Gluttony attempts to, well, eat Dante. All the while, Dante's body is rotting away(Gluttony might find that quite tasty...).
