Walking on the scent of rain
tasting all the muck again
sleeping in a fog of pain
while life continues on
looking around to see the waste
of love given and love lost
and was there ever life
life on the dead sea
or was there always too much
too much salt in the water
too much salt in the water
and the french fries are all soggy
salted with the dead sea
and the muck of rain
and the taste of pain
and the fog that I walk in
and the salt that i breathe in
are all alone
pick at my soul, dissolve it away
pick it clean, eat at my pain
salt of the dead sea
rain over me. Why should I be?

I like the second to last stanza a lot because it sounds awesome, but it seems so sad... Like the world around you is disgusting and unsatisfying...
Heh, personal interpretation. I do like this poem though.
