Cualtzin found himself wondering again, of course, this time he wasn't alone. Haidar had came along with him this time. He needed to spend time with his familiar. He always seemed to hang around Tally and his son. He didn't mind too much, at least they were being watched and protected.
They were in a lovely field this time, tall grass and hardly any trees. Though, he didn't mind too much. It was slightly cloudy this day, and not as warm as it had been in the past few days. He watched his little friend a bit.
Haidar ran about in front of his horsey friend. Of course, he had gotten use to Cualtzin's hyper attitude. Though, that made things more interesting for them both. Haidar was quiet the opposite of Cualtzin. While his stallion friend was hyper and out going, Haidar was skittish and shy. Though, when it was just him and Cualtzin he was as hyper as he was.
"Where are we going Today, Cualt?" He asked as he turned around to look at his huge friend behind him. He wagged his tail a bit as he smiled up at him. The only ones he could trust was Cualtzin and his family.

Shiori gallopped like crazy in the middle of a large grassfield. She felt the wind fan her face and let her curls softly sway in the breeze. Her windcatcher necklace hung loosly around her neck, its small feathers flying in the wind. The warmth of the sun tanned her face as she closed her eyes and relaxed for a moment. Even though it hadn't been as warm as the past days, the heat of the sun still made her feel invincible.

Haidar noticed something of a yellow hint hit his eyes. At first he thought it was the Sun, but it was moving. He started growling as he looked to see another soquili in the field with them. Which quickly got Cualtzin's attention.
Cualtzin looked about seeing a mare running about in the field they where in. He quickly grinned and started towards the direction she was. "HELLO!" He said as loud as he could before Haidar could stop him from doing anything farther. He loved meeting others, even if Haidar didn't.
"Are you mad?! What if she's mean?!" Haidar snapped at his friend after he had said his hello. He tilted his head as he looked up at his huge friend. "Do you ever thing about stuff like that?" He added again. He was a really worry bug.
Cualtzin laughed. "She's not mean! I mean, she's bright!" He pointed out. Which, to him any bright colored soquili wasn't mean. He nodded. Darker ones were a little iffy though. Even though he still acted the same around them, he tried to be alittle more careful.
Haidar rolled his eyes and waited to see what happened. He didn't want to attack anyone, not yet anyways. He wasn't strong enough to fend off an adult soquili.

Shiori was enjoying the sun when a large "Hello!" echoed in the air. She opened her eyes, and looked behind her to where the sound came from. She saw a male dark colored soquili, with a wolf. Fun fun! she thought. I've always loved wolves!
Shiori trotted happily towards the couple.
"Hello!" she shouted back to them. "My name is Shiori, and you are?" she asked the stallion. She loved making new friends, and was always open for the hint of adventure. Curiosity was the first word in her dictionary.
The stallion looked friendly, seeing as he was open enough to call for her. The wolf stood in front of his friend and stared back at her. Hmph, what's his problem? she thought to herself. It's not like I'll hurt anyone! she giggled.
She examined the stallion. He also had curly hair, just like her. His mane and tail were covered in pretty smelling flowers and he seemed well-cared for. Obviously he wasn't a threat and seemed harmless. After all, he had dark-ish colors, and the soquili with bright colors are the ones to stay away from, she though.

Cualtzin smiled and made a childish face towards Haidar as to say, "I told you so" He flicked his curled tail and nodded. "Nice to meet you! I'm Cualtzin!" He paused and nodded towards the wolf. "That's Haidar, he's a little protective around new people, no worries though!" He told her hoping that his little friend wouldn't scare her off.
Haidar just gave a hmph noise and looked away. So she didn't seem as bad as he thought, but he was just paranoid. He didn't want Cualtzin to run into those Kalona things. Whatever those looked like. For all he knew, she could be one! "Your not a Kalona are you?" He asked the female suspiciously.

Shiori giggled. "I don't think I am. After all, I've never seen one, so I may as well be a Kalona myself!" she teased. "No no, I'm just joking. I'm not a Kalona Haidar." she said and winked at Cualtzin.
"Anyone in for a race to the beach?" she asked, particularly aiming at Cualtzin. He seemed like a nice person, maybe they could be good friends. She giggled again.

He stomped his front hooves lightly on the ground, as he did every time he got excited. "A race you say?! Sounds like fun!" He said before Haidar could say anything farther. He always did this, he didn't need to know that his little friend didn't like this at all. He smiled at the mare.
Haidar sighed as he had to go with him. It was better then letting the mare kill him if she is a Kalona. He didn't believe that she was, and but she didn't make a very good point trying to say she wasn't one. He eyed her, and then looked up at his stallion friend and stayed quiet.
"What part of the beach?" Cualtzin asked finally rather curious. If it was at the edge of the ocean, or the edge of the sandy shore, who knew? He just wanted to make sure so he didn't run too far. He smiled at her. "Or is it any one of us that makes it to the sand first?" He asked again.

Shiori was glad Cualtzin showed enthusiasm in her ideas. She folded her ears and stared deep into his eyes, with a teasingly threatening look.
"Let's make if whoever touches the water first, they win!" she excitedly replied to his questions. "Are you ready?" she asked hastily. Crouching a bit lower to the ground, she had one hoof in front of the other, and begun a countdown before Cualtzin could reply.
"Three, two... one!" she shouted and ran off in a split second.

She had counted backwards. Something he wasn't totally use to, but the moment she said one he had take off running. Cualtzin was going to win! He didn't even realize where the other soquili had been. He didn't even know if Haidar was behind him or if he was just watching behind. He let out a laugh as his mane and tail where flying behind him in the air. His flowers clung on to dear life.
Haidar had already taken off before the race had started. He had to see who would win. Of course he didn't care to much. He had already gotten to the edge of the beach thinking that's where they would stop. Having not been there when she answered his question. It didn't matter really.

((Randomize 1-10 for who wins. 1-5 Shiori, 6-10 Cualtzin x3))
Shiori was surprised at Cualtzin's speed! She had to win this race! She gave a loud and happy laugh and continued sprinting as fast as she could. Occasionally, she gave Cualtzin playfully fiersome looks. She was enjoying her day very much!
Slowly the beach came into sight. As the printed their hoofs in the sand she saw the edge of the water coming nearer and nearer. I, will win! she thought to herself as she threw a quick smile to Cualtzin, not sure if he saw it or not.

Haidar watched them come, but they weren't slowing down. Great! They were going straight for the water. He ran as quickly as he could to the edge of the water to make sure to see which one had won. He panted as they both flew by. Very close indeed, though it seemed Cualtzin's muzzle was bigger then the others.
Cualtzin didn't know who won, nor did he really care. It was fun to get out and run for once. The refreshing splash of ocean water hit his legs and chest rather fastly as he and the other entered past the edge of the water. He loved the salty smell of the ocean, and the cold waters. "Wee!" He said as he finally came to a stop. He looked around to see where the mare was.
Haidar came close to the edge of the water, but he wasn't dumb enough to enter it. He didn't feel like getting sick. He eyed both of the soquili. "Ready to hear the out come?"

Shiori panted as the two splashed wildly into the salty water. For once, she was having some fun. She really didn't mind who had won, seeing as the results were pretty close. She just wanted to see that Cualtzin had enjoyed the race and wanted to spend some more time with her. He could really be a great friend!
Shiori listened intently as the wolf Haidar was about to explain the results, who had won. She wouldn't mind if she had won, but if she hadn't it wouldn't be a disaster. Then she'd just want to improve more, which would leave her training and trying to get better, which would always be good for her condition. Besides, it was her first race ever, you couldn't expect her to be a born racer!

Haidar cleared his voice not even waiting for his Stallion friend to get the chance to start talking again. "Well, Cualtzin did barely." He said kind of plainly. He flicked his tail as he looked down at the water as if it would bite him. Most wolves wouldn't act like that, but he had just cleaned himself, and he didn't like the taste of the ocean.
Cualtzin didn't really care after hearing he looked to the mare. "That was fun." he said happily as he got out of the water and shook himself off a little. "It had been a while since the last time I have ran like that." He confessed. It did feel nice on his legs and it felt nice to get air in his face and mane.

Shiori didn't mind that Cualtzin had won. After hearing Cualtzin say he hadn't ran in a long time that that, she wondered if she should tell him that that was her first race. She shook her coat and sniffed the scent of the ocean.
"That was lots of fun Cualtzin! We should certainly do it again another time!" she smiled and continued. "That was actually.. my first race ever.." she admitted to him. I guess it wouldn't hurt, telling him that. Besides, they were becoming really good friends so she doubted that he'd make fun of her. She blushed slightly and waited for his reply.
