((This is a Private RP between Kyaishi and Myself. Please do not post unless asked. )) ---------------------------- Finn ran down the forest path, fully intent on not looking back to see if his ma had caught on to his little disappearance yet. He managed a sigh as he careened across the path, splashing in the small stream in his way. He needed to get a safe distance away, so he'd at least have an hour or so before his ma caught up to him and dragged him back home. Honestly, why couldn't she just let him wander and explore? Was it that bad? His Da never said anything against it. Technically, if he thought about it, his Ma didn't really care either, she just wanted to know where he went and when he would be back. Unfortunetly, Finn was ill-inclined to tell opf where he was going, just in case his Ma didn't approve of it. So this was why he was running away, to have so fun without his ma's knowledge. Hey, some could say he was a glutton for punishment in this respect.

Aquene was a fair distance away from her home by now- but not intentionally. Another flutter of her cerulean and orange flamed wings gave away the fact that she was trying to teach herself to fly- rather unsuccessfully, mind you. Another leap, another trip and stumble, and she was rolling head over hooves through the grass in an ungraceful somersault. Picking herself up again, she stamped her hoof in childish frustration, casting a glare upon a moving bush in the distance.
A pause followed as she realized belatedly that normal bushes don't move, and a squint of her golden eyes told her that the figure in the distance was none other than a soquili foal like herself. It wasn't her sister, and it was too small to be her mommy or daddy... just how far away from home had she gotten? A glance at her completely unfamiliar surroundings brought a groan from her maw as she sighed dejectedly. She was sure to get scolded for this... oh well, she thought... might as well enjoy it while it lasts.
That decided, the small filly folded her wings and trotted towards the strange colt, eyeing him cautiously as she neared him. "Hello?"

Finn skidded to a halt for a moment, his bright green eyes latching onto a figure that seemed to be trying to fly. He had tried it once when he'd seen a bird for the first time--but the resulting pain had made him stop. This one though, seemed to be almost successful until it fell to the ground. He winced and--with his curiosity fully quirked--set off toward the other creature.
Conviently, the other creature decided to come toward him too. That was lucky, wasn't it? As he came closer he realized that this creature was in fact another filly, though she looked absolutely nothing like Kizuka or his Ma. SHe had the attachment of wings too, pretty little things that seemed too fragile for flight at the moment. How awful.
"'Ello!" He piped back, grinning innocently, perhaps she would be adventursome like Kizuka? Or perhaps would just like to go play with him? His only introduction to females was the tomboy filly and his ma who was like her, so he had no idea if there was anyone who had different tastes, "What are ye doin' all the way out here?"

Her wariness was abated at the friendly tone the other foal used as he greeted her, and a small, enigmatic smile much like her mother's graced her muzzle as she spoke in a soft tone. "Greetings," she said quietly, although not unfriendly. She hadn't really met anyone outside her family yet- perhaps they could be friends?
Her smile only brightened at his enthusiastic greeting and the odd way he spoke- but she didn't question the latter; that would be rude, and she'd been taught that rude was bad. "I'm afraid I'm a little lost... I was trying to fly, and I didn't notice how far from home I'd gotten. It doesn't matter much, though... I might as well stay out here a while, if I'm going to get scolded anyway."
A curious tilt of her head accompanied a blink of her golden eyes as she observed the green colt silently. "What about you?"

Finn smiled cheerfully as she reutrned his greeting, that was always a good sign for a good meeting. Sometimes, meetings weren't so nice.
He tilted his head to the side, curious as to why she seemed to think "lost" was a bad thing. It wasn't, it just meant that finding your way beack home was much more fun than just knowing the way! He sighed mentally remembering that not all soquili were like him and most thought getting lost was not an ideal thing. "Oh, I see," He shuffled in place for a moment then finally offered, "Well, if do ye need ter go find yer home soon?"
A surprised blink and a mischievious grin graced his features, "Oh, aye?" He agreed, raising an eyeborw, "Would ye like ter jest play then?" He hoped she would, poor FInn loved to play.

She tilted her head to one side in thought for a moment, weighing the possibilities... she didn't know this colt, but he didn't seem unfriendly, and she wanted to play, too... and not staying would be rather rude, wouldn't it?
Justifying her answer with a determined nod, Aquene smiled brightly as golden irises met the emerald of the other foal's and she nodded enthusiastically. "Sure, I'd love to play. What do you want to do?"

Finn grinned cheerfully--and quite innocently, if he may add--and shrugged, "Well, that really depends on what ye like ter do in the first place. I don' know ye, so I canna tell what ye'd like ter do. I like ter play tag an' get dirty an' all sorts of those things. If we can find a thing we like ter do in common, than we have loads more fun, wouldn't we?" He cocked his head to the side, curious, "So, we do ye like ter play?"
Pausing for a moment and having the grace to remember a smidgen of his manners, "I'm Finn by the way," He told he, smiling again, "Sorry fer not sayin' so earlier." He canted his head to the left a bit, "An' ye are?"

Aquene offered a grin to match his own, golden hues shining with what could have been mistaken for innocence, but the glint in her eyes spoke of mischieviousness as she eyed the green colt, considering his offer. "Well, I'm certainly not afraid of getting dirty... but a game of tag might be a bit unfair considering my... advantages." She ruffled her wings with a pointed look, but grinned nonetheless and shrugged. "I'm open to suggestions."
She started a moment, then paused, her smile turning a bit sheepish as she remembered her manners. "My apologies, father and mother taught me better than that. My name is Aquene. It's a pleasure to meet you, Finn." A courteous dip of her small head followed the introduction, even going as far as to bend one knee, like her father had taught her.

Finn recognized a fellow mischief-maker when he saw one and he grinned, "But I jest saw ye trin' ter fly. Ye didn' though, so ye don't have much of an advantage, do ye?" He retorted simply, beliving her had a good point in there, "But it's good ter know that ye aren't afraid of gettin' dirty. Most fillies are."
A cheerful smile was offered in return, though as he'd never bowed before he didn't make the same motions. He'd probably be silly-looking anyway. "It's nice ter meet ye too, Aquene."

"Yes, well..." if that comment didn't hurt her pride, she didn't know what would... but it was true, so she couldn't blame him for it. The smallness of her wings was something of a sore spot with her, but she wouldn't take it personally. "I suppose I do have a long way to go- but I will be flying someday soon!" She stopped to consider his next comment.
"Afraid? Of getting a little dirty?" She let out an indignant snort, sticking her nose high in the air in an exaggerated manner, although the grin tugging at the corners of her mouth gave her away. "Don't be absurd! What do you think my sister and I did for fun?" She grinned openly at this, bouncing a little on four small hooves.
