((This is a Private RP between Skye Starrfyre and Myself. Please do not post unless asked. )) ------------------------------------------------- Finn splashed in the small stream, enjoying the sensation of cool water on his legs, it made pretty interesting shapes too. He grinned charmingly and reared up only to splash again. Oh, ma was gonna hurt him for running away again. He was always sorry in front of her , but could she really blame him for running around and having fun? No, she couldn't, it was that simple. Another splash and Finn was becoming bored with the game, it wasn't as fun if there was no one to splash with or at. A sigh and a flick of his little green tail, what was he supposed to do now? Go home? Certainly, that was the smart thing and the right thing to do. When did he ever do either of those?

Dah was in trouble. Again. Dah got into lots more trouble than either she or Wadi did and that made things just fine by her... It meant she could get away with more. Or, rather, she could get away more.
Right now she was happily trotting alongside the stream. Mama had told her that she could and Wadi was... Somewhere. It felt good to not have to keep an eye on her brother for once. It meant that she could have some real fun.

Another splash against the water and he discovered something new. If someone splashed against the current it made a different splash than when one did it with the current. It was interesting enough...for a few minutes.
Sufficiently soaked and quite pleased with the fact he glanced about, looking for something more interesting to do. His ears flicked for any sound of something coming closer; it could be some sort of monster coming to eat hm and if he didn't know in time he wouldn't be able to get away!
Or it could be Ma and that would be so much worse.

She paused for a moment, ears swiveling as the sound of splashing up ahead caught her offguard. She knew that her brother had said something about giant fish making lots of splashes and scarring him... But she hadn't believed that. Maybe, just maybe, he'd been telling the truth this time.
Curious she stepped out of the stream, walking cautiously along the bank. "Hellooooo. Who's there?"

Ear's swiveled to the sound along with his head, alarm raking through him. Was that his ma? Calmling himself with a vigorous shake of his body, he blinked wide green eyes and laughed at himself. That voice was too high itched for his ma. Boy was he grateful for that fact.
Cocking his head to the side, he decided that, eh, why not? He'd greet this voice back, not monster would have a voice that high-pitched and young sounding. It could be a baby monster, but if it was, he knew he'd be fine. He'd yet to lose to anyone but his Da in a fight.
"'Ello?" He called back, looking around, "Who's there?" Soaked and standing in the middle of a stream, the little colt sounded like an echo.

"I'm here." She huffed, giving her head a light toss. That was a silly question if ever she'd heard one... And, all things considered, she'd actually heard alot of them; mostly from her brother.
She took another step, peering down the stream. She thought she saw something... Or was it someone. "I've got a better question... Who's there?"

Finn snorted, that wasn't a good answer at all. You were supposed to say something more speific than 'I'm here', saying something like that was just useless.
"Lovely fer ye," He replied, shaking his head, eyes still searching about for the source of the voice, "But yer "here" an' my "here" are two differn' "here"s." A stomp of his hoof was added to that statement, which only served to get him more wet, not that he minded it.
"Why don' ye come ter me?" He offered, still unable to find the source of the voice, "Tha' way we thing'll be easier fer the both of us."

Her nose scrunched slightly as she listened to the voice that currently had no body. It sounded... Alot like a boy's voice. "My Mama says that I shouldn't have t'come t'any boy 'cept for Dah when he's mad an' she doesn't feel like listening t'him be grumbly." She snorted softly, pawing at the dirt beneath her hooves.
"Why don't you come t'me? Or maybe we'll meet halfway..." That was called a compromise. Mama made all sorts of compromises for Dah, she'd said. "Are you by the stream, voice?"

Finn scrunched up his face, blech, he'd actually never met anyone beside is own family before, so he'd never had an experience like that, "Me ma said tha' I shouldn' run off an' away from her but tha' doesn' mean I don' do it." He pointed out, tossing his head. Was it so bad if this other voice came to him? Honestly!
Him come to the voice? Nu-uh! No way! Stubbornness kicked in and he decided that if anything was going to happen, it'd be halfway at best. He came to no one.
...'cept his ma and da.
"Er..." He looked down at himself, "I'm in it, if ye want ter be technical." A wiggle to his body and a cheerful grin, best to make a good impression or so his da always said, "Where're you?"

"Your Ma' tells you that? That's funny. My Mama tells me I should get out an' explore more 'cause freedom is a part o' life." She slid carefully down the bank of the stream, making a slight splash as she waded into the water.
"I'm in th'water now too... So all you've gotta do is start walkin' t'wards my voice.. An' I'll start walkin' t'wards yours." It was that easy... Not even a silly boy could mess that up.

A shrug at the voice, she had a point, "t's more of me Ma not wanting fer me ter leave without tellin' her, but I like surprises an' she's fun if yer careful enough to inter trouble with her with Da near." A grin, "That's always fun."
An ear flicked in response to a sound, had there been a splash? In which direction? He cast his gaze about, searching. "But what if we walkk ther wrong way?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, "One of us could be walkin' the other way and then we'd wouldn' get anywhere." It was a valid question, wasn't it?

"If you walk th'wrong way that means your ears are bad 'cause I can hear you makin' noise just fine and it sounds like you're somewhere in front of me." She laughed as she pranced around in the water once more, making certain to create a good bit of splashing noise. "Y'hear that? That's me making all o' those splashin' noises. You've just gotta listen with your ears like you're supposed to."

A wide blink of the eyes and a quick look behind him to where the splashing sounds were.
...he wouldn't say another word about going the wrong way, he had in-fact been facing the wrong way, after all. "Aye, I hear it." He answered, spinning around quickly so he didn't look like an idiot if she found him.
"I can' listen with anythin' but my ears," He pointed out hotly, pouting a bit at the implications. She was talking as if he didn't know anything. He certainly did! Sometimes it just didn't seem like it though.
"Aye, Aye, so I'm comin'." He grumbled, taking a few steps toward the sounds.

She listened to the splashes in front of her for a moment before following their sound. She'd said that she'd meet the voice halfway and she intended the keep up her end of the bargain. A deal was a deal, right?
"Well, y'don't seem t'be listenin' with them all that well." She nickered softly, giving her head a light toss before setting her gaze on the stream ahead. It wasn't long before a flash of green caught her attention. She smiled brightly as she picked up her pace. "Is that you?"

Splashing dterminedly toward the other voice and splashing sounds, Finn shrugged, even if no one else could see him, "Listenin' I can do. Pay attention to what I'm listenin' to? Not so often." He explained, small tail flicking and splattering water in every direction.
"Is what me?" He asked, cocking his head to the side and pausing, looking about for any sign of another person. "What do ye look like anyway? Maybe that'll work, ye ken?" A glimpse of something brown, but a lot of things were brown, how could he be expected to tell the difference?
