Battle Grounds A large field with different kinds of arenas placed in different sections, where students can train, duel or just spar.

I walk out onto the battlegrounds and place my spellbook down. I had memorized the spell by heart, not neding the book. I stand up tall and hold my hands out in front of me, closing my eyes, a small fireball appearing in front of them. I open my eyes and pull my hand back and punch foreward, throwing the weak fireball at a tree, barely burning the bark. I sigh and mutter to myself, "I've mastered it, but I just can't seem to tmake it stronger...", stareing at my hands.

Steven stepped onto the Battle Grounds and looked around. His swordcase was held in his right hand. The battle grounds were rather small and didn't have many students in it. He actually found it quite empty. He did see one student training his powers onto a tree.
'Mabey I should just train for now,' Steven thought and took his sword out of his swordcase that he was holding. He set his mind onto his sword, and the tip of it pointed to a punching dummy that was hanging down by a mere rope. A faint smile appeared onto Steven's face, and he thrust his sword into the stomach of the dummy. It stabbed through, and as it did, sand poured from the hole that Steven had put in the dummy.
"Ha, take that!" Steven shouted and laughed. He slowly walked towards a bench and sat down on it. He looked down at his sword, and it shined back at him. "My best and only weapon," He muttered under his breath. He got out a small towl and shined his sword clean. He smiled down at the sword
"I shall never lose this treasure of mine"

I sigh and pick up the book I have with me and walk over to a bench and sit by a man with a sword, than open the tome and begin reading another spell, trying to see the most effective way to use it.

Steven turned to the side as he saw the other boy sit next to him with a spell book.
'He might be a wizard,' Steven thought and stood up.
"I challenge you to a duel!" He shouted at the boy, a smile grew against his face. Steven loved to duel, especially when he was with a tough opponent. He stared into the other boy's eyes as he pointed his sword towards him. He quietly waited for his answer.

I look up from the book and grunt, "No.", than look back at the book, reading the spells. I didn't like dueling, it was a waist of time and power, and even though it was good practice, you're not allowed to kill your opponent.

Steven frowned and crossed his arms still holding his sword.
"You have a lot of nerve!" he yelled and gave him a dirty look. "It's not like we'll kill each other or anything! Its fun practice!"
Steven never liked it when a guy turned down a perfectly good duel with a worthy opponent. This guy was mysterious. Only he would know what was going on in his mind.
"Well, do you want to change your mind or not?"

Steven watched him turn back to the book he was focusing on.
"That's it!" Steven shouted and grabbed the book from him. "And you won't get it back 'till we duel!"
He smiled and held the book tightly while pointing the tip of his sword at him.
'Try and refuse now,' he thought smiling

"That's it!" Steven shouted, being more than confused now. "Take this!" he yelled and striked his sword at him, aimed at his chest, hoping that he would use self defense.

Smileing still, I jump back from the strike, barely dodgeing it, "Fine, but you're going to have to return the book soon enough, you won't be able to read anything in it anyways, only I can understand the language I wrote it in, and besides, I really don't want to duel you right now."

"Ha, good! I wasn't going to read it anyway!" Steven laughed and then jumped onto the battle stage. He held out his sword, and waved for Kaekar to come on the stage.
"You know the rules, right? If a person says mercy, they give up! And we'll fight all night until one of us say mercy!"

I sigh, "Fine, then.", and climb onto the stage about 10 feet from him. "But know, we'll be here for quite a while, I don't give up very easily.", I say, a smile coming over my face, standing strait up, looking down at my hand and blinking, a palm-sized fireball appearing in my hand, than I look back up at him, a slight twinge of morbid enjoyment in my smile, "I'm going to whittle down your resolve until you beg me for mercy!", I say quietly, assuming a fighting stance.

"I'll take that as a threat!" Steven yelled and drew out his sword. He watched a a flame appeared in Kaekar's hands.
'So he'll try to aim that at me' Steven thought and stared at the flame
He quickly thought of a strategy, and came up with one instantly.
"Well, you strike first!" Steven said, and began to move.
