User ImageThe sun-warmed banks of the river were too much for a certain Spaniard, who soon found himself stretching across the heated grass with pleasure, the tips of his paws lazily caressing the glistening surface of the river, which peacefully trickled down the side of the Mountain, its path undisturbed. Ahh, when had he last gotten to simply lounge about like this? A pleased croon of a hum tickled in the back of his throat as Luis curled his back much like a cat, jaws parting to give way to a yawn, silky locks spilling in front of his eyes. Carelessly, he shook them away, dark tails mirroring his movements with a twitch of their own. Was this all life would hold for him now? Sweet naps in the sunshine--without the company of a charming señorita? What a pity.

Though, deep within the recesses of his mind, the dark-haired kitsu was worried. He had no time to laze about like this, not when such a looming presence dwindled even now within the shadows of the Mountain's base. Who knew when Las Plagas would arrive? They could even be here now, infesting and murdering the inhabitants of this place too...A weary sigh, built up by such torment, exhaled itself roughly from his lungs, but couldn't possibly begin to express his feelings on the subject. No point in thinking about it now, mm? He reassured himself, rolling onto his side, away from the riverbed, his limbs stretching in front of him while shoulders hunched to his ears. No, he'd deal with it soon. Now was his time for a well-deserved nap, in the very least.

But even as Luis' thoughts turned to sleep, the promise of a nightmare lovingly caressed itself against his jaded thoughts, trickling deep until a shudder trembled up the base of his spine. With an irritable sort of toss of his head, the Spaniard sighed once more and rolled to his belly, lifting his head to mullishly stare at the river. So much for his nap...

User ImageThe soft mosses tickled her paws as she crept down the side of the mountain. It was way to cold up there for the The beads tying her hair jingled with the soft mountain breeze as he continued down the path. Marylin couldn't find a trace of those monsters anywhere around from her vantage point atop the peak. No screaming. No shots. Nothing but silence. Well, as silent as it could be with a waterfall almost too close for comfort. It was almost too peaceful from what she had experienced all that time ago. The calm before the storm. Either something was about to explode and the whole mess would start over agin or she was finally free of it all.

A sigh escaped her muzzle when she stopped to shake the water from her paw pads. Water was much too troublesome for her to handle. Going from a near desert to a mountainous, lush paradise was a difficult transition. A look over her shoulder at her small brindle friend made it all worth while. The little guardian was darting to and fro around the rocks, chasing some imaginary adversary. At least he's happy.

Green eyes looked out once again over the terrain, admiring her choice of home. Maybe it was worth it after all.

A musical jangle drifted across the wind to his ears which twitched faintly before the Spaniard sat up, casting dark eyes across the river side in search for the mysterious source. Surely it hadn't been his imagination--he was stupid, not crazy. A bemused smile stole itself across his muzzle before the kitsusagi sank into a cat-like stretch, yawning mightily before he shook the last cobwebs of drowsiness off his body, dark tails flicking themselves in compliance. A flash of movement caught his eye, and for a moment, Luis simply watched, a brow cocked as though to signal to his disbelief. What...was that supposed to be? Some sort of animal, scampering about on the slickened rocks with amusement. Not to mention the pretty lass standing not too far from it, her bright eyes flickering back from the creature to instead take in the scenerey.

Luis felt himself starting to grin, assessing the jangled mess of accessories stowed within those crimson pigtails, the dark color of her coat and the garment wrapped firmly around herself as he set off at an easy pace, slipping down the grassy bank in order to approach her. "Ahh, señorita!" He called, his accent only even more pronounced as it slipped over the native word. "Lovely day, no? And a lucky one, for me..."

Chuckling smoothly in his throat, the dark-haired stranger wasted no time in drawing up just sort of the female, tilting his head lightly at her so silky locks slid out of his eyes, still grinning pleasantly. "M'afraid it's hard to simply sit back and relax...My eyes seem to be getting one hell of a workout, eh?" Shameless, as always.

Marilyn jumped at the voice. She wasn't expecting anyone else to be around here. She'd come so far from her friends and this place seemed so quiet and lonely. The little guardian slipped between her forepaws, glaring at the dark-haired interloper.

"Excuse me?..." Wow. This would either turn out very badly for the one approaching or they would both have problems. Well, at least he wasn't bad to look at unlike the idiot who called himself 'leader.' With all those limbs gone, she wondered why they listened to his plans at all but nevertheless, she hadn't been with them for awhile.

Her brow raised, taking a step away from the other. A weak, nervous smile crawling over her face. "Well, depends what you mean by workout."
