Her mind was quiet,... as were the plains. Twilgiht took the skies, coating them with shades of pink and gold, hints of a blueish-black marking the horizon. In truth, her favorite time of day. At this time, most Soquili where returning to their... homes. Alenazsa, wasn't. She'd stay out late every night, though begin her mornings just as late. She disliked the day, for the most part...

It wasn't really that she hated day, she just... prefured the night, much more. Any time from Dusk to midnight, she adored. Any time after,... well, she usually was off, keeping to herself.
Truely, at times, it could be a bad thing. It figured that her favorite time of day, was the time that most of the darker Soquili where coming out.
And yet,... she'd also met some Soquili that where... like her, in a sence, holding the same likes, or atleast thel ike of night.

Really, she wasn't sure why she liked the night. Perhaps it was the cooler weather. Or the glow the moon cast on her mane and eyes. Quite frankly, she didn't care. She just,.. liked it. She wasn't about to argue with herself over one of her likes.

The stallion sighed, staring up at the sky with a dream-like expression upon his noble face. A smile smile touched the corners of his lips, hinting at the sheer joy he felt inside. The sky was flushed with color, nature's beauty echoing throughout every sun-splotched cloud. It was as though a skilled painter had chosen the wide expanses of the sky above to paint upon, and had created a masterpiece.

Shishio tore his gaze away, looking again upon the world about him. The trees and plants were touched with shadow, testament to the fact that night was fast approaching. He moved at a leasurely pace in no direction in particular, his curled tail swishing gently in the cooling breeze.

Her ears flicked. There was another near by... I think...

White orbs started to glance about, ignoring the birds and other smaller creatures... the ones she could easily trample, even if she never planned to in her life. She wasn't one to hurt another... Why? She knew Soquili... that would hurt, because they where bored, or hungry... The mare shook her head with a slight sigh. The Predators... She shook her head again, snapping her attention back to the sound she heard before.

She started moving to where she thought she heard the soft, short, calm beat of hooves on the grass coated ground. It wasn't long until he game into view, white coated, and dusky-purple marked. They where still a good distance appart, but, now, it was much easier to see the other. Alenazsa turned away, not wanting to look odd for staring at a random stallion.

Ah, what a wonderful night... For the colors had nearly faded from the sky, and so the time might be considered as such. Soon, the glow of the moon and stars would come to play upon the indigo swatch of sky. Soon, the world would again be cast into colored shadow as...

Shishio stopped. Not far from where he was stood an ebony mare, long white tresses cascading from her head, her gaze cast away from him... in shyness or in mistrust?

He began again to walk, making his movements slow and deliberate so as to not give her any reason to spook or startle. He stopped again a few feet from her, giving her space so as to not crowd her. Shishio fixed his gaze on her eyes. He bent one foreleg ever so slightly, and lowered his head until his nose nearly touched the ground. The stallion straightened, ears perked forwards and gaze steady as he awaited her response. Would she turn and move in a different direction, as his silent greeting allowed her to do without seeming rude? Or would she stay, and chat awhile?

Her gaze had drifted back to him as he approched, and watched him. She didn't see any,.. movment of agression, just a calm... greeting, as he dipped his head in what she guessed what a bow. He was, very polite, to say the least.

"Hello,..." She pondered for a moment what else to say, though coming up short on that. Alenazsa's tail flicked abit, as she pawed at the ground with ther left forehoof, pureply out of a slight,... Boredom? Perhaps that was it. Yet, she wasn't very bored, all of a sudden. A new Stallion had come about, one she'd yet to meet. Oh yes.. names,.. knowing his name would be good, yes?

"You are,.....?" Alenazsa smiled dimly, looking him over quickly. He had, what she considered, a beautiful coat color, and yet, it still fit well on this Stallion. It was different, yet still... nice, for the lack of a better word.

"I am called Shishio." His voice was deep and smooth, carrying in it's depths hints of romantic evening spent upon moonlit shores and peaceful summer days spend resting beneath the tallest trees. His eyes shone with warmth, his face relaxed. "Might I be graced with the pleasure of knowing your name?" To others, his way of speaking may seem quite odd... adjectives thrown in where none are needed, long sentences in which he talked himself a circle while skirting around the base point. To some, it was quite charming.

Actually, she liked how he phrased things, as... alot of the time, she spoke the same.
The mare smiled. "You would; Most have come to call me Alenazsa, as, afterall, it is the name I was given at birth." Alenazsa dipped her head a bit, ivory eyes gleaming. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Shishio." She nodded her head a bit, the smile sticking on her lips like glue to paper. Her tone kept dark, secretive,.. mysterious, perhaps? Yet, still caring, and quite open.

She hid very little, kept few secrets, so it was odd for her tone to sound the way it did. Though, it added to the already-beautiful, musical, Brittish-Accented voice she held within her.

"The pleasure is all mine... Alenazsa." He said her name, rolling it about his tongue, the words forming like a sweet caress. His dusky eyes twinkled, remaining fixated on her even as the brilliant colors of the sunset finally faded into night. The mare before him took on a soft glow in the night-time light, seeming almost ethereal... like a dream.

"May I walk with you this night?" It did not matter that she was going in the opposite direction he had been taking; after all, he had no clear destination in mind, and so could not stray from any path. If she required naught but an escort, he would be such. If she wanted to take pleasure in the company of another, then he would provide converstation. And if she required only companiable silence, he would leash his tongue and walk silently beside her. Or, if she preffered to spend the nighttime hours alone, then he would take his leave.

Although... he hoped she would invite him to stay, if only for a little while.

Alenazsa dipped her head. "I'd be more than happy, if you where to."

She looked up at him. She wasn't the only one that seemed to glow at night. Even with the dusk-purple tint to his coat, the ivory fur seemed to mimic the moon, much like the mare's mane and eyes.
She sidestepped abit, then glanced at her side, really, motining for him to come up next to her. There was something about this Stallion, that was different than the rest. He didn't... have any sort of, obvious problem on his hands... hooves. He was but a calm... and very polite, Stallion.

Alenazsa hadn't even felt a sence of worry while around him. She felt, she didn't need to worry, that she'd be quite safe, conversing with this male.
"Having one to talk with, would be quite nice,..." She added softly, nodding her head once.

Shishio took his place on her offered side, pivoting gracefully so his shoulders were level with her own. He gave a soft, encouraging smile, the corners of his mouth turning up ever so slightly. The stallion inclined his head to their front, shall we?, and began to move forward at a leasurely pace that was easy to match for even those with the shortest stride. He had in mind a casual stroll, one that would provide plenty of time for conversing as those involved would not be bothered with having to lengthen or shorten their strides to keep up with the other. It was a common ground, a place where all could feel comfortable.

He let his gaze slide away from her, as it was quite awkward to be craning his neck at such an angle and walking at the same time. His eyes traveled across the land, watching as shadows were dipped in moonlight, and finally rested thoughtfully on the twinkling lights of the stars above. They reminded him of the multitude of shining souls upon the ground, walking in forms of Soquili and Usdia and fox and squirrel. But it also reminded him of something else... of the warmth and caring of parents and siblings, something he himself had never felt.

"Have you... family... upon this earth?"

She sighed abit. His question made her ponder over something she had been trying to forget, for the time.
"Last I saw, my parents, where still alive,... though, I have not seen them for a long time, and I have been gone for much longer. My brother,... I am searchnig for. I do not know if even he is alive." She glanced away, before back.

"That is, as far as family goes, for me. In truth, I have no family around me... I am, quite alone. On my own, completely." This didn't bother her though. Large, groups of Soquili... Alenazsa was not a fan of them. Though, at night,... she'd even confess this, she did wish she had atleast One Soquili around. A friend, a family member, someone, to keep her close company.

Though, inside, she doubted that'd happen any time soon.

His steady gaze upon the stars above wavered slightly, and his eyes darted to Alenazsa, though left as quickly as they had come. He had made her uncomfortable, or if not that he had created an atmosphere that was not as light as he would have it. He chose his next words carefully, wishing to steer them away from a path that may lead to sorrow. Shishio paused, collecting his thoughts, moving in silence for a few strides.

"It is a shame that you are not surrounded by warmth and love, as you surely deserve." His gaze turned to the path before them, to the road ahead. "If you would accept my help, I would be honored to assist you in finding your brother... Although, such things are better done in the daylight, when the shadows have all but cleared and it is easier to see those who may wish to hide from prying eyes." He smiled, a true smile this time; his white teeth flashed in the moonlight, his eyes dancing with merriment before his face melted again into his previous expression.

His joy was feigned, for Alenazsa's sake. He did not want to push his own sorrow onto her...

For he, too, was alone. He had never had a family. He had never known his parents. He had never known any brother or sister, had never felt the sadness inflicted by loosing one who shared your own blood. He had never known what it was like to be loved with an unreserved passion, to be protected and to be filled with the fierce need to protect, to look upon another with awe and respect and yet be in a position to be coddled by that same seemingly distant body. A pang of regret filled his heart. Would he ever find one to love?

"... I, too, am alone."

His last words hit her quickly. "I,.. I am sorry." She looked at him carefully.
Alenazsa desided that dreading on being alone, wouldn't be so fun. Return to his first offer. "Your help, would be more than appreciated, Shishio. And, you are quite right. I do tend to search at night for him, however... my brother,... -like I-, is not one that clings to the light, yet, adores the Darkness of night. The moon, the shadows. As a foal they pleased him... Unless he has changed completely, I bet his feelings on night and day have stayed, quite the same." She smiled dimly... stay positive.

She usually was quite optimistic,... tried to be, atleast. Though, there were those times that she needed someone to lift her up. Sometimes she'd be the one lifting another up, with positive words.
It was amusing,... people believed her to be so dark... all because of her coat. Yet, she was no so. She could be! She could be quite dark and emotionless, heartless,.. though rarely, and only around those she... disliked.

Shishio, she did not dislike, even if she had just met him, and only just knew him from apperence and name.

After a moment, Alenazsa seemed to wander back to his last comment again. She seemed to, wonder the same thing he did. Will I even find anyone here, to love? To love me? Even if I do find my brother, he's... my brother... no lover... Her thoughts began to trail.

"There is no need to apologize; it was not of your doing." He said briefly, shaking his head ever so slightly to clear thoughts of loneliness from his mind. After all, he was not truly alone, was he? He was walking alongside a beautiful mare, on a gorgeous night. What more could any stallion wish for?

He listened to her speak, absorbing this new information. He filed it away in one of the numerous compartments of his mind that were yet unfilled, preserving it perfectly for later reference.

"We all change, though it is gradually and happens over a great period of time. I doubt that your brother has changed so much as to no longer find the things he once found pleasing comforting." One can only wish. The thought came unaided to him. "Yes, we have the greatest of chances of finding him if we search during the darker hours." His mind was wrapped about this puzzle, this unsolved mystery of finding Alenazsa's brother... and even though he now wished to find him, if only to see a smile alight the mare's face, he was quite looking forward to the hours spent patrolling the night with Alenazsa.

Alenazsa nodded. "Thankyou.. Shishio." as if she hadn't said it already.
She looked over at him, and the smile came back, though soft, weaker than before. But, it was there. She looked on forward. "I do doubt though, that we could find him just tonight... in all truth. I'm not trying to be a pesimest in this... but I do find it quite hard... to find him just tonight. I have no leads to know if he is even in this area,..." She let her words flow out freely, without stutter or pause, except when called for.

She looked over at the Stallion again, smile still curled on her lips. "Though, if we do, I owe you... every thanks I have."
