I recently bought a microsoft points card and it would validate anyways so called microsoft they said the code was good and all but they couldn't activate it. Anyways they said I had to fax it unfortunatly don't have a fax. Even if I did they said it would take 6 months to validate... My account would expire by then. Anyways they said I had to return it but it says on the back of the box you can't. I did end up returning it some chick who didn't know what she was doing gave me my money back but still kinda ******** they wouldnt' give me the poitns considering I told them the code and eveyrthing I even offered taking a picture with the receit but they wouldn't do it.

Even if your Xbox Live account expires, you should still be able to use MP cards.
Did they say why you (or they) couldn't redeem the points from the card?
