Hinote, or Note as he so silently called himself from time to time, walked along calmly as he took in the nature around him. Calm... yes, the perfect mood for such a beautiful day... for such, well, a quiet day... just how he liked it. Silence could speak for its own self... so to speak. He chuckled quietly, though the sounds of his vocal cords barely registered or stirred the air around him, they were so soft. Unlike the Soquili around him, who found talking a pleasant thing to do to pass the time... but he found it disquieting (obviously) and never wasted his breath talking for no apparent reason.
He also disliked gossip. Gossip was the worst thing possible, and it was part of the basis as to why he refused to speak unless he really, really had to... like when introducing himself, but he hardly did that as well. He was just antisocial like that, he supposed. Taciturn to the point of... well, seeming as if he was mute! He allowed another soft chuckle to escape his mouth, but even that laugh did not disturb the roving, moving nature around him. The birds continued to trill, the squirrels to chatter, the usual creatures that habitually lived on Mother Nature.
Life was peaceful and wonderful that way... and that was just how he liked it. Hinote smiled as his soft, golden eyes sparkled with a gentleness rarely seen in the antisocial stallion... for he was more like his father Orchu than one would expect. He was serious like Orchu, but retained his mother Kasumi's nature, so he was quite the clash of a character... still, though, one would think he'd be more open with his emotions, despite how he refused to speak... or, in his case, "waste his breath" on meaningless talk.

Del'nal couldn't help but laugh aloud as she walked. The day was much to quiet in her opinion and plus she was watching a couple birds play tag up in the air. She was tempted to join them in the sky but she didn't feel like landing on her behind again when she came in for her landing. It never failed to happen when she tried to land.
'One day I'll ask daddy to show me how to land properly.' she said aloud talking to herself. 'Maybe he'll even teach me some neat tricks to do as well. That would be loads of fun. I should go visit mama and daddy again sometime. Next week I'll go visit them. Yes next week sounds good. Ooo that flower over there is pretty.' She talked to herself quite often when there was no one about to talk to. Though seeing the pretty flower nearby she closed her mouth and made her way over to it.

He blinked when he heard loud laughter interrupt his peaceful daydreaming, and deciding that it was best to observe from the air, he opened his wings and took a running start, lifting into the air smoothly, his legs pumping, as if he didn't have wings and merely had the ability to use his legs to take to the air. As he waded through the air, much like wading through thin water, in a way, he spotted a dark-furred mare, laughing aloud. She seemed to be enjoying herself... well, he supposed that was all well and good, but couldn't she understand enjoying the wonderful peace around her was better?
The gentle silence, the warm quiet, the comforting softness? He had to admit, though, sometimes life was probably a lot more fun if there was more excitement... 'course, he'd never say that to anyone... that'd be just a waste of air. Air was important to life here, he had come to learn, and if it was wasted, disaster would strike... though he doubted air could be... well, wasted or run out of... but one could never be sure right...? And okay, he was going down the weirdest train of thought right now... He continued to muse to himself as he treaded air, floating mid-air to be precise, and observed the pretty mare underneath him. He wasn't too far above her, but far enough he knew she wouldn't notice him!

Del reached the flower and lowered her head to smell it. She loved flowers well actually she loved anything that came along. Even if a kalona were to come around she'd go right up to it and start talking. After she got her fill of smelling the pretty flower she looked around to see if there were others about.
'Hellooooooo! Is anyone out there?' she called out as she stretched her wings out slightly. She knew that there was most likely no one about but it didn't hurt to ask the air. Waiting a few moments she sighed and looked down at the ground as if sad that there wasn't a soul to be seen but at that moment a butterfly fluttered by. 'Hello butterfly! Your a really pretty butterfly. Your wings are so so so shiny and you fly with ease. I wish I could be lik...heeey where are you going?' As she talked to the butterfly it started to fly off to other flowers around her and so she decided to start hopping after it.

At first he thought the female was going to smell the flower, but when he heard her ask the air if anyone was around, he grew amused. As he continued to float through the air, he decided to follow her about to see what "adventures" she would lead them both into.
No, don't ask, he wasn't going to shout back at her that he was here, watching her... and no, he wasn't stalking her! My, what are you thinking!? He was only observing! After a short while of following the pretty femme around, he decided to take a landing, his wings growing tired from having to constantly keep him still in the air as he slowly followed the mare around.
Landing with serene grace and silence, he practically tiptoed after the dark, semi-sparkling mare. She seemed to swirl with an odd color, certainly! And suddenly she started hopping after the butterfly she had just spoken to! Obviously startled by her... strangeness... he, again, merely followed her, quietly observing the unique quirks of this mare.

Hop, hop, hop. Del continued hopping after the butterfly trying to keep up with it. 'Wait up butterfly. You're going much to fast!' she called out to the small insect. She hopped after the butterfly for a few mintues more before the butterfly decided it had had enough of the hopping mare and took off into the sky. 'Awww. You aren't suppose to fly up that high butterfly! That's cheating!' She pouted for a few moments as she watched the butterfly until she could see it no more.
'Well I've seen a flower, played with a butterfly, and hopped. Now what am I suppose to do? There's no one around and I really don't feel like going home yet. Maybe there's another butterfly around.' So now Del walked slowly and carefully to see if she could find another pretty butterfly to hop after.

What was up with this mare? She was... one of the most random Soquilis he'd ever met... and he... hadn't met very many. In fact, he could probably count on one hoof how many he met... and that wasn't a lot, for certain. He continued to trail after the... hyperactive?... spastic mare, feeling a bit odd to be following her.
It was surely something he would never generally do. Follow a mare, he meant. Hinote let out a sigh and then realized his sigh was a bit louder than he had wanted, and hoped the mare wouldn't notice. She was a loud one, so many his sigh wouldn't be noticed? Usually he had silent sighs, and he was as quiet as quiet could be... no, quieter, in fact.
After all, his two-legger would often say he was quite "taciturn"... whatever that meant, but he assumed it meant that he liked being silent and quiet. Wait, those two words practically meant the same thing... ah, his own thoughts were a whirling mess now. How odd... perhaps merely watching the mare herself had had an influence on him...

Del stopped for a moment and raised her head up to look around. She could have sworn she heard something. 'Hellooo?' she called out into the wind. Not seeing anything she shook her head and continued on her hunt for another butterfly. 'Here butterfly butterfly butterfly. Come out, come out wherever you arrrrrrreeee.' This butterfly hunt was fascinating her to no end and she was quite enjoying it. 'I know there's got to be one out here somewhere. I just know it. This place is huge which means there is plenty of room for more then one butterfly. So where are all the butterflies?'

She was still looking for butterflies. He flicked an ear as he raised an eyebrow, looking at the mare semi-skeptically. She was... just joshing around, right? She was merely playing an imaginary game made to throw him off because he was so quiet, and she was pretending she hadn't noticed him yet... right? Or maybe he was just over analyzing things and he was merely going quietly crazy.
But going quietly crazy was nothing new to him so he had to say he was quite sane... or well, not insane, anyway. Luckily for him, or unfortunately for the mare, Hinote had a lot of patience and a lot of practice in staying quiet. He was that good... not to brag, or anything like that. Just stating something. As he continued his trailing... stalking... following... whatever... of the mare, he slowly began to get caught up in her game of searching for more butterflies. It looked entertaining, actually.

As Del looked for butterflies she couldn't help but feel that there was someone watching her. It was bugging her but when she called out the last couple times no one had answered. She shook her head slightly to rid herself of the feeling and continued looking for butterflies. 'Oh come on butterflies. You've got to be out here somewheres. Right? I will find you though. No matter how long it takes I'll find one of you pretty butterflies. No one can hide from me for long.' She had no idea that there was someone that had been watching her for awhile. She was just to oblivious when it came to such things.

Butterfly, butterfly, where be you? Hinote mused to himself as he began to search for butterflies as well, and, because he was looking for butterflies and not watching where he was going, he didn't realize the mare had stopped and he... well, he kept walking and BAM! He walked right into her. Shaking his head from the sudden collision, he backed away, blinking to clear his confused vision.
He made no apologies, feeling far too embarrassed because of what he did, and gently pawed at the ground... a slight sign of his nervousness and embarrassment. He hadn't meant to literally walk right into her... he really just wanted to play that 'butterfly game' of hers with her, but he was... too shy...? to speak out and introduce himself and tell her he was there, sta--watching her. Er, following her. Yes, following, not stalking! He couldn't be stalking her if he didn't even know who she was!
Sort of. He sighed softly in exasperation. Maybe he was going insane... or, to put it lightly, quietly crazy.

Del jumped foward a couple feet with her wings slightly spread after being startled by the stallion. She shook her head to rid herself of the confusion which didn't work and pulled her wings back in close to her sides. After a few moments she turned herself around to see what it was that ran into her. When she saw it was someone else her face lit up with happiness. She had company!
'Hi! You ran into me didn't you? Or something ran into me...dunno what though. I think it may have been you. If not then well it was something else. My name is Del'nal but everyone just calls me Del for short. What's your name? Looking for butterflies is fun.' She was quite excited by the fact that there was someone around. Hopefully she wouldn't talk his ears off.

The stallion was still a bit dazed from the abrupt contact, possibly, or perhaps it was the fact that the mare in front of him had just gone through a long string of chatter that he was barely even able to grasp.
"I..." he voiced, stopping himself suddenly almost believing it to be a mistake to reply. Ah well, it was too late, now. "Yes. Sorry for that. I was unable to perceive where I had been going."
He eyed the mare and the scenery once more before going on to his next sentence. Something about the ambiance puzzled him... something that possibly alluded to a strange relationship in the future if he were to continue running into "Del", seeing as the two make quite contrasting characters. Considering how often the mare talked even without visible company--
"I am Hinote," were all the words that were able to leak out of his mouth. He nodded vaguely to confirm Del'nal's last statement that butterflies are, indeed, fun to look for. Though butterflies reminded him so much of his eldest brother who adores the small beauties even more, considering his brother's mate is remnant of one.
Presently, Hinote decided to take a risk and continue, "Do you do this often, Del?"

Del smiled at Hinote and waited for him to finish speaking before saying anything which for her was a miracle. 'Hinote is a really nice name it is. By do this often I'm going to say that you're talking about if I come out and chase butterflies so yes I do this quite often. They've always fascinated me since I was little.' she rambled. She paused a few moments to stretch out her wings and tuck them back against her sides. 'What brought you out this way though Hinote? Were you chasing butterflies too?'

He smiled back at Del'nal, listening carefully to her words as she rambled. She had a nice voice, a nice demeanor... everything about her described gentle and kind, but then, he didn't quite know her too well just yet. He wondered that, now they were friends, would that lead both of them getting to know each other a little better because they had introduced themselves to each other?
Hiding a shrug, he only nodded to her question. Actually, Del'nal was what brought him down here--he was flying earlier--but her activities with the butterflies had caught his interest was well. Butterflies were almost like little fairies that only wished to grant you happiness... but then, they also reminded him strongly of his oldest sibling. No matter, he was sure he could get through the day chatting (actually, maybe not chatting... he wasn't one for talking nor was he much a talker) and well...
He wanted to hide the fact that he felt embarrassed for literally running into her--so to speak--so he really didn't say much more than his name and a question here or there... a long moment later, he finally ventured out to ask, "Why do butterflies fascinate you, Del?" He couldn't understand why they had caught his fascination as well, but he decided Del'nal could do most of the talking, for, like he had mentioned before, he wasn't much of a talker, nor was he much of a conversationalist... which probably led to the reason as to why he wasn't very social, either.
