((This is a PRivate RP between `Swirly and Myself. Please do not post unless asked. )) ------------------------ Kohane sighed softly, laying on her belly in the soft shade of a lollipop tree. Her head was in her paws and she gave off the impression of...cheerful boredom. Marani was off somehwere, probably chasing a boy or acting like she normally did, all cool and dark. A giggle escaped pink lips and Kohane remembered her "sister". They had so much fun together, and enjoyed playing around with everyone around them when they were together. She and her sister were so close, many mistook them for lovers, which was not the case, but the amusement of pretending to be just a little bit more never did wear off. Now though, Kohane was alone and with nothing to do. She debated taking a nap but...eh, she didn't want to at the moment. She wanted some entertainment.

Curious sea-green eyes blinked down at the pale pink female that laid below her. Thal had fluttered up into the tree much earlier that day to get a lollipop and in the end had fallen asleep with the sticky-sweet candy still in her mouth. Oopsie.
The soft giggle had brought her out of her reverie and she felt it time to do what her mamma had told her to do and to meet some friends! Strange.. she said friends and not "people" who could become friends.. She best not let her mamma down... The soft flapping of barely-blue wings were the only noises that she made before landing in front of the pink Numa.
"H- Hi.. I'm Thalassa... Pleased to meet you."
Dumby-dumbdumb-head. She probably wasn't supposed to say that til AFTER the pink one had introduced herself.. Maybe she just needed to wait another day or four before trying this whole "meeting people" thing..

Kohane blinked widely and ooked up as she heard the sound of another approaching. Seeing the new female she smiled gently. This female didn't act much older than herself, but she carried the air of shy-fear, as if she was always questioning herself. Kohane knew about such things as that--her mother was exactly the same way.
"It's so nice to meet you!" Greeted Kohane cheerfully, smiling brightly at the other female, "I'm Kohane," She held out a paw for a shake, not wanting to move into another's space.

Thalassa just chose to stare at the pretty pink Numa for a few moments. Probably rude but she had to get her "gumption" up if she was going to be a normal Numa like everybody else. Shaking her head left then right a few pieces of hair falling into the soft sea-green eyes before holding her paw out the pink Numa..
"It.. it's nice to meet you too. My name is Thalassa... but I suppose that Thal will be easier to say and remember. The pale blue cheeks were pinkened now but she had a sense of pride in herself for managing to speak up for the first time.

Kohane smiled brilliantly at her new friend, happy to finally have someone to at least talk to, even if they seemed to be incredibly shy and withdrawn. Oh, well, Kohane knew how to deal with those personalities.
"Thalassa, prefferably Thal," Repeated Kohane softly, commiting the name to memory, "I won't forget, promise!" She grinned at the light-blue girl.
"How are you today, Thal?" She asked, motioning for the other girl to sit and join her under the shade of the lollipop tree. No sense in remaining standing when shade and cool-warmth was readily available.

The friendly smile, actually, it was almost a brilliant smile that she had been given by the pretty pink one made her feel like being friendly right back. How did you behave friendly? That's the problem though that she didn't know precisely how to be friendly.
"Well, if you won't forget then I shall have to promise not to forget that your name is Kohane, but do you go by something other than Kohane." She smiled softly and stroked her paw lightly over the pink paw...
"I'm doing alright.. but I'm not overly good at visiting with other Numas.. Actually..." Her face blushed a brighter pink than before, "It feels like most of the time I'm just no good with people." Fluttering her wings Thal moved to sit beside the pink one, "So what do we talk about?"

Kohane smiled and shook her head, "Well, you can call me 'Hane' if you like," She offered, tilting her head to the side, "But really, everyone calls me by my name," She shrugged helplessly and sat down, grinning.
"Ah, I see, I see," Murmured Kohane sagely, rubbing an invisible beard, "I kknow the feeling, actually," She confided, winking at the light-blue girl, "So there's no need to worry! Everything's fine." A gentle smile replaced the grin.
"Eventually, you get used to enteracting with others, you just have try to meet as many people as you can and learn from there." She blinked a flushed a light pink, "Sorry! I didn't mean to pry and become all "I know all about this" toward you." She glanced away, a bit embarrassed by her actions.

A soft feminine giggle escaped the shyer Numa at the idea of just calling her "Hane." She didn't think it sounded bad, but it really didn't seem to suit the Numa if she did say so. "Oh no, I think I'll just stick with calling you Kohane, it's a pretty name it is."
Since when did female Numas grow beards? She was pretty sure that this, Kohane, was a silly but fun new friend to have. Maybe she'd learn how to be outgoing and make fake-beards or fish or.. oh.. just something. She was naive in the world that she wasn't overly sure what all COULD be done. Oi!
"You didn't pry... Actually, I don't mind telling more about myself if you want to know it. I was thinking that maybe if I just talk i'll get used to people hearing me and it'll be easier. And, well I'm not all really sure." She giggled again before pushing a soft blue paw over her mouth, her bright eyes dancing with the held-in giggles.

Kohane smiled brilliantly, "Thank you! My mother was terribly worried when she picked it out," She added confidingly, smiling softly, "She was afraid I wouldn't like it!" She giggled with amusement and happiness, "She was so happy to know that I liked it she almost fainted!" Another giggle escaped her, but it wasn't a mocking laugh. She thought her mother was the most adorable thing in the world--especially when Kohane did things that made her mother crimson with proud-embarrassment.
....Was that combination even possible?
Kohane laughed again and shook her head, magenta eyes dancing merrily, "That's a good idea! I took my whole issue the same way and look at me now!" She paued, thinking for a moment, "...Ahaha, maybe I'm not the best example, I'm a spazz." She laughed and shrugged her shoulders, "Oh, well, right?"
She grinned at Thalassa, "I'm sure that whatever you think is right for you will show you the right path to travel on." She paused, her tone had been unusually serious. She stuck out her tongue defiantly, "Nyaa! Bad Kohane! Seriousness is for serious people!" She mock-chided herself.
Oh, dear, what if Thalassa thought she was insane?
Eh. No one was perfect.

"Oh well, your mother really didn't need to worry I don't think since it suits you quite well I think." Shaking her head Thalassa couldn't imagine such a bold Numa having a mother that had a meek streak even on her let alone the worries of picking the wrong name for herl ittle one, "Oh boy.. fainted?" A soft giggle escaped and Thal nearly rolled her eyes now the pretty Numa had to be telling a tall tail! Her own mamma, Souleater, had pushed her out into the world recently and she was going to do her best to make her proud.
That was possible for a backwards girl like her right?
"You're a spazz? What on earth does that mean?" Thalassa, who was very sweet to those that she manged to from a complete sentance to, had a limited vocabulary in some senses. Not dumb in the least, just not overly great with words that seemed kind of slang in origin.
"Oh.. I've not really been trying to follow any particular path, just going wherever my wings take me to!" Oh lord, had she really just said that? Kohane had probably been talking in a very much NOT literal sense and she had rambled on like a big dumb idiot.. Well, if she didn't think she was a comp;lete idiot then the Numa next to her would hopefully follow suit?
Lord she was bad with words....
Or maybe it was just a lacking in the ability to truly listen?

Kohane grinned at, "Of course! But Mama is always afraid or embarrassed or very, very, shy," She sighed dramatically and placed her chin into her paws, "BUt there's nothing wrong with that and it's really cute--so there's no problem at all." She giggled and rocked backward.
"Yup!! Almost fainted! She was sooo cute!" Kohane giggled more and rocked back forward, her dark wings fluttering softly.
"Spazz?" Kohane blinked and suddenly looked thoughtful, "Well," She said after a moment, "I'm not quite sure. I think it means I'm a bit erratic and hyper, always out to have fun and be unique in myself--" She shrugged helplessly, laughing, "But what do I know?" She stuck her tongue out playfully, "I'm just one girl."
Kohane paused for a moment and looked over at the light-blue girl, "You know..." She said after a moment, expression solemn, "That's sounds like something that would be really fun to do!" She laughed and rocked back and forth again, "I wish I could do that! But I have my family so..." She shrugged, "I'm content to be here." She did wish she could travel though, maybe go on some great adventures, meet and fall in love with some great prince, fantasies that would remain just that--fantasies.

Thal nearly sighed, but manged to hold it back in at the mentionings of mothers and such. Souleater had been a good mamma as of late, but her childhood had been nothing more than a blurr. She didn't remember her first flighter, or first swim, or even being named. All of it just sort of blended together. Not that her childhood had been unhappy, oh nono, never that.
"My momma's name is Souleater, but I don't really know where that came from or where my name came from." Bach.. She felt kinda dumb for not really knowing.
Thalassa stuck her tongue out at the other Numa before fluttering a few feet up in the air, "Do.. do you wanta play tag? For someone that's always up and about and on the go a game like that ought to be good fun for you right?" Lordy did she ever hope that she didn't offend anybody with saying things like that, "Momma says I need to go out and be a go-getter 'cuz I'm not gettin' any younger."
She grinned again, but this time from up in the air, her pale blue fur was shining nearly white as the sun reflected into it and removed most of the color, "Oh, well I have a family too but we all seem to being doing out own thing." What was that word that she had decided described her family best.. Ooooh! Why couldn't her dumb brain think of it, "Oh wait! We're all developing into the adults we want to be, and.." A slight pause that was filled with a giggle, "I've a feeling that daddy and momma like having the cottage to themselves."

Kohane laughed and shoook her head, "Hey, I don't even know if my name means anything." She stuck her tongue out playfully, "BUt I really don't care. We are, who we are and it shouldn't matter what our name is. It's just something we call ourselves. We can even change it if we like." She shrugged dismissively.
Kohane blinked and watched the other girl float up and offer to play. Laughing, Kohane spread her own magenta wings and shrugged, "Gabriel always wants to play games like that," She mused softly, smiling. Canting her head to the side she looked a bit thoughtful, "Well, yes it would be fun for me, but we should do something that's fun for the both of us. If it's not than it's not much fun to do, is it?"
Kohane smiled, and stood up. It was always easier for her to fly if she wasn't sitting. Her wings were built differently from most others and they had different advantages and disadvantages.
"You have a family?" She asked, smiling brightly, "Ooh, what are they like? I have..." She counted silently, "Four siblings, one mama and two uncles that I livewith and then there's my blood-family, where I have one sister two brothers and a papa." She grinned sheepishly, "It gets really big at family reunions." And yet they were so much fun to have.
She blinked widely at the "cottage to themselves" bit. She had little idea of what it meant. "Oh, well, our house is hardly ever empty. Uncle Ryuune is almost always there, and mama, but most of us, "young people" are gone all the time. Well, except for Hiro." A sly look entered her eyes, "But he does leave sometimes."
She clapped her paws together, embarrassed a bit by her ramblings of her family, "Sorry! I seem to have digressed for a bit. What is it you would like to play? So we can both have fun?"

How had they gotten onto the topic of names again? Oh yes, thinking of where it had all come from. This Kohane was nice enough just to shrug off the fact that Thal really didn’t have too much of a clue of where her name came from. And in return Thal just blinked at her with wide green eyes.
“Who’s Gabriel?” The question was out before she could really think of anything else and then for the first time in awhile Thal giggled lightly. Playing was something she wanted to do for awhile before she decided to act like a grown up or something like that. Kohane’s words confused her slightly.. Thal figured even if something didn’t sound like a good time at first it’d grow on her.
Thal almost marveled at the Numa that was standing. Her own structure or maybe just her preference made standing a bit irritating and hard to do.. So she chose to fly almost always.
“Well.. I don’t really know my family at all.” Thal blushed brightly, how on earth could that make sense to anybody? “See.. My momma has met me obviously.. But I don’t remember my daddy and I don’t remember any of my siblings.. Actually..” Her face furrowed with concentration for a few moments. “I really don’t know how many I have.”
The other Numa had a sly look about her that confused Thal for a moment but she shook it off and smiled, “I think it’d be fun to be in and out of the house all the time. I stayed in my room for so so long.. And nobody was really around and now I’m just out and about so..” She really was rambling wasn’t she?
“Oh I don’t know.. I just figure playing would be fun although I don’t really know any games.” Once again Thal blushed.. She really did feel out of the loop of things.

"Gabriel's my older brother!" Replied Kohane with a smile, "Well, technically we're not even related to each other, but we live in the same house and we've known each other for ages so everything's okay!" A giggle, she loved her older brother Gabe, even if she sometimes thought of him as younger than her. He was that cute.
Her ears drooped slightly as the other female confessed to not knowing most of her family at all. Kohane probably wouldn't have been able to stand it--and Hiro and Gabriel only could because they had the rest of the family to be with.
"That's really sad," She replied, unsure of how to act, "Is there any way you can find out? Or do you want to find out?" There was always the possibility that the person just didn't want to know about it, but Kohane wasn't sure about her new friend.
"Being out and about is fun!" She giggled and twirled around on her feet for a moment, "But we all come home for dinner no matter what and we all hang out and be with each other before bed, so no one's really left alone. It's so much fun!" She paused and realized she'd probably said too much, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to ramble on about my family like that!" She wrung her paws together for a moment, not wanting to upset the other numa.
