This roleplay will be started by Skye and I, but any of Sheridan's Foals are welcome to play here as well to meet a new friend. Sierra giggled a bit as her long spindly legs raced ahead of her. She had gotten better was running since her escape from the reed basket which had been her home for what seemed forever. Mother and Father had been most welcoming when she broke free and there had been her sisters and brother as well, all as confused at the new world as she.
The chocolate filly raced through the high grasses of the plains, the grass was nearly as tall as she was in some spots, leaving only the tips of her brown ears peeking above the sea of grain.
A giggle escaped her again as she flew along, the wing racing through her ebony mane and tail. The sound of water reached her ears and quickly diverted her attention.
Pausing and looking more like a startled deer than a filly she froze in place, ears flicking from side to side as she listed to the lake water lapping against the shore. What was this thing, why couldnt she see it.
Her lower lip pouted softly as she tried to hop up on her back legs, not yet strong enough to rear for long. "I... wanna.... See!" she eclaimed each word at the pinical of each hop trying her best to see over the tall grass.
Not far off towards the north she could see a strange shiney surface of the water, it seemed to glitter there. The sparkles startled her, she paused again and watched them for as long as she could.
As her hooves touched the soft soil once again she took off like a rocket, running blindly towards the lake side. Little did she know it wasnt as far off as it seemed, and that the ground was so soft because it was the mud flats when the lake became flooded in the winter.
Running as fast as she could she couldnt stop before the grass gave way to water, and down went the filly with a splash......

She knew the water because she lived by the lake... Well, she along with her Mama and her Dah and Wadi. She was allowed to stray down by the lake on her own now that she was a bit more steady on her legs. She didn't fall in nearly as much as she used to... Which, all in all, was good. It meant she didn't look silly.
"Kay, Mama! I'll be good!" She called back over her shoulder before trotting down to the lake. She splashed around for a bit before glancing back towards the camp once more. Was Mama watching? Was she??
Nope! She bolted, making a break along the bank to see whether or not she could actually make it to the other side of the lake. She froze, eyes wide as she caught sight of something moving. "Who goes there? What're you doin'?"

The surface of the water broke as the filly gasped for air, not only had the water been a complete surprise, but it was cold! She made he way towards the shore as fast as her little legs could carry her. Once they touched the muddy bottom she was out and into the reeds like a scared cat.
She shook herself sending translucent rain drops out all around her. Coughing she slowly walked towards the voice that called out. "I aint doin Nothin...but tryin ta drown myself I guess." She sputtered. "who put a lake there anyway." She said indignatly before she burst out laughing.
The filly was back in high spirits as the water slowly began to shed off of her fur. "Did you see me fall in?" she asked at last to the filly whom she could see between the cat tails and reeds. If she had, that would be shameful, but never the less she knew it had to have been funny.

"Lake's always been there... Least, it's been there for as long as I've been here." She nodded, giving a proud little prance. She'd been able to answer a question!
"You fell in?" Well, that answered the other filly's question. She hadn't seen anything. "I used t'fall into the lake all th'time. Dah said I wasn't supposed t'go play by it on my own 'til I could walk better. I showed him. I can walk just fine now. Don't fall into the lake anymore... It's not a good idea."
She paused, brow furrowing slightly after a moment. "What's your name? Do I know you?" She almost felt like she did... Or should. That was weird.

"I didnt realise it was there, I saw something sparkly and I heard some noise like water... so I took off running, an... an.... next thing I knew!" she built up her story like it was the most exciting tail. Her hooves pranced lightly in place as if she was running. "Splash! I was in the water, an it was cold, oh so cold. Couldn' breath very well I couldnt an I though' I was a gonner an I'd never see my ma' un da' again... "
Dramtically she hung her head, her hair plastered to the side of her neck and forhead as beads of water still dripped from the ends. "I struggled with all my might and suddenly I could breath again, Nasty water had let me go! Ho ho! Little does it know I'll be watchin it I will! It hasn' seen the likes o' Me!" She pranced and spun around to face the lake as if she was going to stare it down with her will.
Sierra turned and looked at the filly with a grin. "Name' Sierra, dun think I knows you....but I dun know many others sides my sisters and brother..."

"My name is Kizuka." She nodded, tilting her head high for a moment only to flash a grin at the other filly a second later. "My Dah says y'gotta be careful 'round th'water 'til you know what you're doin'. I wouldn't try t'take on the water again so soon if I was you..."
She trotted closer to the water herself, taking a moment to touch her nose to it before taking a sip. Nope. Nothing strange about the water here... It didn't seem like it was going to reach out and grab her or anything like that.
Her brow furrowed slightly as she turned to look at the other filly. "Y'think, maybe, y'just breathed in th'water funny? Mama says you're supposed t'drink th'water... Not breathe it."

"Nice to meet you Kizuka... and im darn sure it attacked me, at lest didnt want to let me go. Was prolly mad cause I dived in all unexpected like.. prolly thinks im a house crasher... ah well.. I'll be wiser next time." She glanced back at the lake to make sure it was still where it had been a moment ago, no silly water was going to get the drop on her, No sir!
"Thats prolly wise o' your ma' Cause if you didnt have strong legs you couldn' break free of the waters grip like I managed to do. " She nodded sagely sure in her idea of what had taken place.

"You jus' gots t'be careful 'round th'water." She nodded as she strutted right up to the water's edge, dipping her muzzle down to take a sip. She tossed her head proudly once she'd done that. "See! Ain't nothin' to it!"
She pranced back, trotting around the other foal. "My mama's th'smartest mama ever. Dah's pretty smart too. Guess that makes me a genious."

Sierra snorted softly as she watched as the filly walked up to waters edge. "It's gonna get you!" She squeeled and shyed back. Her amber eyes opened wide as she looked at the water slowly dripping from the others muzzle.
Well if she could do it so could she! Besides, silly water wasnt going to get the best of her. Puffing out her little chest she approched the waters edge, Looking down at the waving refflection of herself. "Hey... issat me, Or is the water nodding at me? " She leaned down closely and sniffed at her refflection, snorting a shaking her head as a little water got into her nose.
"We'll you must be smart I guess... could teach me a thing or two."
