I was thinking that this should be in the Artists' Forum, but wasn't sure, so I'm posting it here. I'm looking for some good Harry Potter fanfic set in the Marauders' Era. I'm good with any pairing and any rating. Suggestions? I'm kind of hoping for something more like The Shoebox Project, but am open to new styles and ideas. I will also accept good Snapefic from any era, with any pairing and with any rating. And finally, I'll take any good Harry Potter, Hellsing or Full Metal Panic fic you can find, of any genre, rating or pairing. Really, I just need fic at the moment. Please help! I can offer naught but interweb cookies and fic recommendations in return, but I can also promise my eternal gratitude.* *Eternal gratitude not recognised as legal tender in most countries. If irritation persists, see your doctor.

I don't remember the names of these stories, but I have 2 really good Harry Potter fic recs for you, Shadow. The first is written in journal *cough*diary*cough* form, from the viewpoint of Lucius Malfoy. It was very well written and very funny. The second is a story about Harry/Draco. They're playing quidditch one day when something goes wrong and something terrible happens to Draco. The boys must learn to be friends because Draco needs to rely on Harry. Is friendship all that develops here? (hehe) Also, a very good author is Fyrie (on fanfiction.net). One of their stories can be found here. Anything by this author is very good to read and well written. Enjoy!

Thanks! Those fics you mentioned, were they on ff.net or fictionalley? I'll look them up on whichever site.

I've decided to write a Marauders fic. I forgot until recently how much I love those characters. Also, I should be able to get most of the fic done before the last HP book comes out this summer. Hooray!

I have a couple of really strange ones that I'm trying to decide if I should publish them even on line, given the way they are.
MoF (GW/HG) fem/, D/s, mut, blood and various and sundry other warning tags. I can't find a place that will let me ship it without idiots spamming me with "pervert!" or such.

Also, Jeoc, you could always post them to a LiveJournal or under the appropriate rating categories on FF.net, which will take anything as long as it's in the right file format. ]]>

Would it be better to write a story in diary form, with each entry being like a chapter, or to write from the 3rd person pov in narrative form? i can't decide how to write the story (but i've been working on the plot in my head when i'm bored in classes)!

<[[ The style used in most novels - Harry Potter, for example. It's basically 3rd-person omniscient, but mostly from the point of view of the main protagonist - so you really only get their side of the story. ]]>
