Yeah, that's pretty disasterous. Since I've been working from home today I've gotten a chance to see the body count rise. I hope your friend is okay, too.

I'd very much like to know what happened here. The Columbine kids, as I understand it, were bullied pretty badly, and some speculate that drove them over the edge. More or less, that's understandable ; an urge to rise from that feeling of helplessness. However, my general impression of college has been that you don't really see that. So what, then would cause these individuals to do this?

Since it's fresh, nobody really know's it was killings in a dormitory, and the gunman was shot on sight...so it's kinda at a standstill...

Yeah, I'd kinda like to know who ended up shooting him... to tell you the truth, he could have done a lot of damage very quickly in a dormitory, and who would have a gun laying around, ready for action? Campus security, maybe? I have no idea what their security is like. Up here in York, we just get pepper spray, and the actual campus police get tasers.

Probably shot by a local officer who was there because of the shooting that happened two hours earlier.

Two hours earlier? That sucks.

Seriously, I haven't been paying too much attention to this. I don't like feeling insecure on my job, thank you very much.

I read the article in CNN, apparently they had about 6 armed officers waiting...

Yes, but you didn't do much socializing around campus. But then again, if you're being harassed, it is easy enough to avoid interaction on campus.

s**t happens?

I hadn`t heard about this until just recently. It`s terrible. I`m glad the other students are okay and pray that those injured in these shootings make a full recovery.
