Jean was suddenly very frightened to be a scientist, or even know a scientist "Well... I'll try to never gain your admiration then" she looked out of the window and was fascinated by the scenery, Jean had never been in a plane before today.
"Is there a pattern to your attacks? Cause if there is I'd like to be out of the labs on those days" Jean then suddenly felt very queasy and decided that closing her eyes might be the best course of action, so she did just that.

"It's not all scientists, just the special ones," morhighan chuckled.
"My 'attacks' are all at random, but no need to fear, they are more verbal abuse than anything. Whoah, don't get sick now," She teased.
"I'm going to manuveur through these mountanous clouds now, but don't worry, I won't crash this thing."

Jean still felt ill, closing her eyes hadn't helped a bit. She resisted the urge to puke but now was terribly tired. Sleepily she muttered.
"Oh, thass good if you crashed I would have too be very upset... I might even cry at you" Jean was obviously out of it but she continued getting gradually more difficult to understand.
"Jus' wake me up when the gelatinous reactoor comes, you wouldn't wanna missit... That's the problem with you dog people you like big furry ickies tha drool..."

"Well, crud, it seems that somebody got sick." Morhighan fake frowned, chuckling at the "dog people" bit.
She put the plane on auto pilot and walked behind her seat after checking the JENOVA cells. She didn't want Hojo really mad at her, just slightly annoyed. How she loved to exaggerate! She chuckled, sitting back in her chair. She pulled out a tranquilizer and quickly jabbed it into the scientist's arm.
She tossed the needle into a convinient bag and resumed her flying.
She glanced over at the passenger breifly then glanced over the hills.
Jenova... She thought.
She sighed and checked the course.

OOC:GAH! whatcha do to Jean? It's a bad idea to stab people with strange drugs, what if she was allergic then you would have a dead scientist.

The sleeping Jean was mumbling endlessly to herself now completely incoherently. Suddenly she woke up and whimpered as a needle was stabbed into her arm.
"What ar--" The scientist quickly fell back asleep no more noises coming from her.

"Gues I'll just have to carry you into Nibel then, huh?" Morhighan chuckled.
"Oh! We're almost there!"
She looked outside the window to find a waterfall underneath them, and further along she could see the town. She began her descent, looping in lazy circles so that she could avoid nailing the town dead on.

"It'll only be a second dear!" He relpied before darting back into the building in hopes of getting to the professor before he ventured off on an experiement run. He pushed the door ajar slowly but found the room to be empty. That man was erratic in where he would be, but thankfully Hojo knew Sujuka's ability to forget small things and wrote a sloppy but eligable note. Just a few words that told him what he needed to get. Sujuka shook his head and slipped back out the door. At least he knows me. He thought, stepping back out into the beginning rain. It was much nicer when it rained. At least that made the weather less stifling.

He glanced around and found the girl in the same spot he'd left her. The rain wasnt' much so she wasn't wet yet. "See? I can be quick when I'd like to." He smiled lightly. "Now, where would you like to go? I've an errand to run, but plenty of time to do it. I take if you don't get to do much around here. Neither do I. So it'll be a treat for both of us."

(Yes....be shocked...I posted.)

Kit smiled when she saw that Sujuka had returned just as quickly as he had said.

"Well, while there's not a lot for a child to do, I do sneak into places and sometimes find something to do there. It's rare, though. Typically I just try and stay out of people's way. Everyone here is in such a hurry...." The typically cheery girl frowned. "Like if they don't rush and do something, they'll get in trouble. That's not a good way to be. Makes you all mean and grouchy..." A quick shake of her head, spraying what little water that had accumulated on her hair around her in a small arc.

"Where would I like to go? Hmm... I don't know..."

Sephiroth didn't reply right away, taking in the information and sorting it out in his head in a much more detached manner than Freyr would have expected from him all those years ago. He was a general now, and war changed a person, as did growing up. "So Ragger's still alive too? I'd heard he'd died as well. After a day like today I wouldn't be surprised to see my mother walk through the door." He joked half heartedly, then returned his eyes to Ghast, rising very uncharacteristicly to approach closer, his mind trying to work out the best way to hug his long lost mentor without embarassing himself, and drawing a complete blank.

Having been placed in the spotlight, Freyr fidgetted nervously, shifting his weight between his various legs and picking at the tips of his fingers as he stared at them. "Well.... You see.... about that... its... "

"Freyr," Ghast interupted quickly, "Since you decided to change the plans and detour here early, you better start at the beggining."

"Well... you see... 2,000 years ago there was this alien creature and..."

"Freyr." Ghast warned,

"Uh... I mean,... When My mommy and my daddy met..."

"Don't force me to show Sephiroth how to disjoint your spine." Ghast threatened, but he was unable to keep a smile from his face.

"EEP!" The chimera yelped, wrapping his hands protectively behind his human torsoe. "Okay, um... yeah." Taking a deep breath the Chimera shifted again, and then slumped his equine rump into a sitting position. "Basically... it was... well... I left SOLDIER about... 12 years ago, I'm sure you all remember that?" He glanced over the faces, and then returned his gaze to his fidgetting hands, "I left because ... because... Someone tried to Murder Ghast." He cleared his throat. "And at first I thought they had succeeded,... It was only by chance that I managed to find the professor before he died, and I was able to rescue him. But his would-be murderer has been trying to finish the job."

"I only recently recovered my strength enough to try and venture closer to Midgar, I'm still not as able as I once was..." Ghast supplied,

"Ghast, Ragger, and I have been dodging and taking down the assassins as they come, but we've decided to take down his assailant at the top of the line."

"... Speaking of Ragger..." Ghast hesitated, a frown marring his face, "Where did you leave him?"

"Er..... About that... " Freyr coughed, refusing to meet Ghast's gaze,

"Freyr, you know what I've said about that phrase of yours." The proffesor scolded,

"I um... told him to go on ahead to Kalm."

The proffesor sighed heavily, before turning to Pharalla and Sephiroth, "Well, that's the story in a nut-shell, I hadn't intended to return just yet, but since Freyr has decided to take matters into his own hands,..." He stepped forward pulling Pharalla into a hug, "It's good to see you." It was easy to tell that the proffesor was not as physically able, his form was thin and lighter weight than it looked, Fragile...

Pharallah looked at Ghast with almost a tear in his eyes, "Man you're skinnier than I am now!" He sniffed, "I still can't believe you didn't send a word! I mean, to me! Of all people! I feel wounded. I feel cheated on."

Freyr's eyes widened with mischief at Pharalla's injured tone. He gave a blatantly audible gasp, "Proffesor! I didn't realize your relationship with Phairy had progressed so far!" The chimera feigned shock, struggling to keep a smile from his face,

Professor Ghast sighed, a slight smile quirking his lips at the Chimera's antics. "I very much wanted to send you word Pharalla..." The aged scientist began, but Freyr wasn't finished yet.

"And after all the nights we spent together!" Freyr shook his head mournfully at the travesty, his glance shifted to Sephiroth, expecting the rise he would have gotten from a much younger silver-haired SOLDIER, instead he realized that a hug was without a doubt imminent, and took it apon himself to speed up the process. "Group HUG!" He whooped, sweeping Pharalla and Ghast both with him to pounce on the unfortunate General. His affectionate squeeze was far more gentle than when Ghast had not been included, but never-the-less the Professor grunted.

"You furry oaf." Ghast chuckled, "Get off." He shoved at Freyr's chest, but remained standing next to Sephiroth and Pharalla, "As I was saying,... I wanted to send word, but there was no way I could have gotten a message through safely. Our ... enemy, is very, hrmm... 'high up'." His eyes lingered on Sephiroth, "You seem very well, how have you been keeping up with your studies and training? I hear you're a General now, that's very impressive. I always knew you would be great." Ghast smiled with fatherly pride at the taller silver-haired man.

((To Forcibly Revive this thread I am making story alterations and changes posted here. Any new RPers who wish to join are welcome, but those of you who do not have reliable internet access should probably stay out of the main groups.))

THE STORY SO FAR!

This story takes place instead of the events of CRISIS CORE. Starting A little before the game, Roughly six years before the start of the Final Fantasy 7 game.

The Wutai war is almost over, having devolved into more of a "cold" war. Shinra's infamous SOLDIER army is replenishing their ranks in preparation for a final push to capture the Emperor of Wutai. However, unlike in the original Final Fantasy 7 storyline, Certain Key events are changed. Proffesor Ghast, having been rescued from death by Freyr and Ragger, is now re-infiltrating the Shinra Corporation, trying to halt the corruption before it can threaten the world. His own ranks of loyals is also expanding. and a new conflict is arising.

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

Freyr with Proffesor Ghast in tow, has just met up with Ghast's old assitant and comrade Pharalla, as well as with Freyr's old Protoge, General Sephiroth. They are currently plotting events in the General's Field Office, in the training grounds outside of Midgar. Near where some of the Newer Recruits are being Drilled.

Proffesor Hojo, unaware of his rival's return is deep within his Midgar labs, experimenting as usual.

Hojo's assitant Sujuka, is currently in the process of escorting the young Orphan Kitrina, outdoors, away from Hojo's labs, while in the process of fetching something for Hojo himself.

Meanwhile in Nibel, Morhi and Jean are heading towards Nibelheim on a mission from Hojo himself.

And this is where the story stands now!

Please enjoy and continue from this point regardless of previous posts and engagements. ... If I have neglected anyone please let me know.

Having dispensed with the tearful reunions and other re-introductions, Ghast paused for a moment to retreive a small palm-sized device from his pocket, obviously some kind of electronic and review the information it displayed. Pressing a button or two on it's face before replacing it within the folds of his clothing. That done he once again addressed the group.

"Originally I had planned to move more slowly. But seeing as Freyr has taken the initiative to come here to Midgar so soon, I cannot waste this opportunity."Ghast held up one hand to forstall any comments as he continued to speak. "Pharallah, I still trust you explicitly, I know that you of all people will listen to me and trust my words."

Reaching into a saddle-bag pouch at Freyr's side Ghast removed a tightly closed packet of files. turning, he handed them to Pharallah, "These documents contain all the paperwork and information you need to reinstate Freyr into SOLDIER. They're already 'signed' by President Shinra, and he won't question his own signature." Once again Ghast raised a hand to forstall speech, this time directed at Freyr who seemed uninformed about this particular portion of the plan. "Also, although I want you to keep an eye on Freyr, he will tell you what you need to know, don't get mixed up in what he's doing. Try to have an alibi as often as possible!!

"Sephiroth," Ghast continued, "I need you to place Freyr directly under your command, as your Second or higher in Rank. This is of utmost importance, he has to have enough standing to remove him from the jurisdiction of our enemies. Otherwise he will simply 'disappear' again." The aged proffessor explained. "Ragger will be here in a few moments to take me to an undisclosed location, roughly in the direction of Kalm, Freyr knows where to find, and from there we will try to undermine the corruption within Shinra." Pausing for breath he eyed the three before him. "Any questions?"

*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Freyr, who had for a time thought he understood what was going on just as well as anyone in the room, actually gaped when Ghast explained his own reinstatement into SOLDIER. "What? But I ... you .. we.. " He hesitated at Ghast's motion, stuttering and spluttering as the rest of the plan was explained. Fidgeting in place until The Proffesor was finished.

"But Ragger's in Kalm! and You need help too! and you can't just leave me here!" the Felitaur whined.

Sephiroth took a moment to deliberate in his mind, formost in his thoughts was the question of who within in Shinra would Freyr be protected from by becoming his Second. The number of people were surprisingly few, none whom he particularly trusted, only those above the Turk's and below the President himself.

"I can arrange that, but what about allies? I think we need more than an aging scientist, his fool chimera, and lab assistant. ... and Ragger, though if I recall he was a very effective spy at one point in time. Is there perhaps anyone I 'don't need to know about' yet? Or can I recruit a few people if I'm certain I can trust them?"

(I'd have waited for Marka to post with Sujuka, but my brain suddenly came up with something for Kit to say smile )

Suddenly Kit bounced and grinned. "Ooh, we could always visit the Mayor's Library! He's never minded me being there, and sometimes gives me candy!"

(I've decided to write my characters out -not immediately- but eventually. Sorry guys, but I can't seem to get back into roleplaying on this forsaken site again)

"Be makes a good point, professor." Pharallah added. There didn't seem to e enough backing to support whatever idea they had going, but he wasn't going to outwardly suggestthe plan seemed either rushed or flawed. He was curious at best. "I hate to ask, but what enemies are we talking about here? I feel like I'm being a little left in the dark. I've been holed up underground for the last few years working with that sick old b*****d Hojo and the twits that follow him."

Mayor's Library? I don't believe I've been there, if you can lead the way I don't see why not." Sujuka nodded. He didn't really want to waste too much time of trivialties, but he rarely got to do anything anymore anyway. Now that he was 'on call' 27/7 he barely got fresh air. He thumbed the device in his pocket and silently cursed it. For once he wanted five minutes out of reach of anyone period. But the phone in his pocket prevented that.

Wow, I just had a total brain malfunction and forgot what those phones were called...PHS? <-man I feel dumb.
