 Morgana strode forward through the new grass, a soft rain was pelting her coat making her short mane cling to her neck. The mare shook her head as a drop slide perfectly down the brown streak of her cheek making it look as though she were crying. Silently the chocolate mare wondered how she had gotten here and where the world would lead her to next.
Pausing she lifted her head letting dark crimson eyes scan the almost lifeless world, with the showers most creatures were staying tucked safely in their dry warm homes.
The mare knew she had a home to go to with her father but she wasn’t quiet ready to return to him, not yet at least. She felt like a failure among her family, she was plain unspecial except for the light dusting of sparkles on her coat,. She wasn’t even happy her thoughts were clouded with feelings of her own inferiority and hideous appearance.
Shaking her mane she stamped her hoof and trudged forward again listening to the slosh of her hooves over the wet earth.

Trevor had been enjoying the day, bouncing around and playing games by himself. He was kinda bored though and thought it would be really nice if he had a friend to play with. He had met that one strange mare with flowers in her mane, but had not seen her since.
The skies had darkened and a cool breeze swept in as it began to rain softly. But he did not mind too much. The rain was a joy to him for he loved to jump into puddles and splash the water about. He trotted forward looking for the biggest puddle he could find, stopping to pounce into every one he saw along the way as he searched.
He had not noticed the brown mare neaby with her red markings and a few sparkles on her coat...his violet orbs were sort of glued to the ground as he found a massive puddle and gleefully jumped into it, prancing his hooves around in the water.
What a silly sight he must have made...his dark green mane was soaked and sticking to his neck, while his drenched green tail with its pink tips flailed about like a whip with his playful antics. The rain droplets rolled down his green coat, trickling to the ground below.

As she strode forward Morgana began to realized that the world, and her life, seemed to be passing her by every second and she couldn’t get it back. The mare froze in her stride and though on that letting her eyes drift close as she considered the fact that she was losing precious time here. During her pause she noticed the bright green stallion playing in the mud.
She stared at him blinking ever so slightly, she swatted her tail against her rump and continued to watch wishing she could be as gleeful as he. She continued to stand silently watching him in brooding fascination as the rain pelted her in it’s unbearable chill.
Finally she let out a soft whinny in greeting to him and strode forward shuddering slightly as she stepped in a puddle and the cold waters bounced up and hit her belly. Pausing the deep brown mare watched him again still utterly confused and envious of his carefree spirit.

The gleeful splashing in the puddles purely amused Trevor...and then...suddenly he heard a whinney! He stopped jumping and his head shot up as his ears perked, his violet eyes curiously looking at the mare whom he just now noticed. He stood motionless for a moment, looking at her before a huge grin spread across his muzzle.
He bounded over to the mare who was slowly approaching him, his eyes shining with pure happiness to see someone else. "Hello there! Wanna play with me in the puddle? Puddle splashing is fun but its alot more fun when there's 2 playing." He continued to green at her and large, damp chunk of his mane fell across his eyes. This was always a problem and tried to shake his head to make it move but it only stuck to his forehead and he was nearly going cross-eyed trying to look at it.
Finally growing frustrated with the piece of mane he turned his attention back to the mare. "My name is Trevor by the way. " He pranced in place, usually having so much energy he never often stayed still. Even in his sleep he fidgeted.

“I’m Morgana, it’s a pleasure tom meet you Trevor.” She blinked in surprise at his question, “playing in …puddles?” She looked down at the areas of brackish water that dotted the landscape. “I’ve never heard of anyone playing in them…” she splashed the water with a hoof and shivered when the chilly water struck her belly.
She watched him for a moment then shrugged, well if you couldn’t beat em… or in this case understand em… than join em. She leapt forward splashing down into a large puddle sending water splashing all over them both.
She shook the chilly, muddy water off her coat and bounded over to yet another puddle nearby. She hopped around going from puddle to puddle splashing the earth and herself with the dark water.

Trevor nodded quickly. "Yup playing in puddles. You never played in a puddle as a foal?" he was surprised to hear she was unfamilar with such a fun game. Every foal played in a puddle at least once! "Oh you don't know what youlre missing! Splashing the water around, especially at each other as we play is so much fun and then its nice to lay and sun bathe in the warm sun as you dry off! You must try it." He grinned and stomped into the nearest puddle to her, sending a wave of the the liquid at her.
But as he had done so, she had sent her own wave of water at him which countered his and boy did she splash him good. He giggled and laughed, "oh I'm gonna get you! ha ha just wait, a nice big wave coming your way!!" Quickly he chased after her, bpounding into puddles and splashig water at her.

She shook her headslightly even while bounding through the cold waters. "No i never played in puddles as a foal, I was never the happiest of creatures."
She winced to herslef at her own words, it was hard to say such about herself and drill the truth into her brain. She wasnta normal soquili, most foals were happy go lucky creatures but not her, not weird ol Morgana.
