A Pro-Life Across America billboard said it, so it must be true!

I was in downtown Saint Paul on Monday, and I saw three of those disgusting billboards. Three! There even used to be one by my house, but then it was replaced by a Humane Society billboard. There's also a "crisis pregnancy center" not to far from my house, but I forgot their website.

So, one of the other billboards had a bunch of babies on it and said something about being the nation's greatest resource (like oil!), which shows me that lifers need to stop whining at US about dehumanizing "teh pweshous babys." The other said something like "Grandma says that I have daddy's eyes!" It was all appeal to emotion bullshit. Isn't the pro-life movement capable of any other fallacies? C'mon, ya one trick ponies!

Let's just send 'em to the dog food factory. Buddy's hungry.

I lol'd at the name of this thread.

I'm glad I live in California, I don't have to deal with such utter tripe.

Hey, don't get too relaxed. I thought I was safe here, too; Saint Paul's a pretty liberal city, for the most part.

There is a new pro-life billboard down the street from my University. It has a picture of a smiling baby and says "Before I was even born, I could SMILE!"

Did it have fangs then, too? No? Then it's not the next Hitler, so there's no reason to abort!

BUT IZ A BEHBEH, U MUST SAYV IT1111111!!!

there used to be a billboard for a CPC, and then down the road a little ways there was a pro-choice billboard. i think the pro-choice one might still be there, but i know for sure that the pro-life one is gone. also, there's a billboard right on the Kansas-Missouri border (it's right before some town in Kansas, can't remember the name but i think it starts with an A) that says "abortion stops a beating heart" and on the other side it says "life is the natural choice". i lol'd at it when i saw it. theeeen, i was in Omaha with some friends and we pulled up behind this huge white conversion van that had anti-choice bullshit all across the back of it. one of their stickers said "pray for an end to abortion". i lol'd at that one, too.

WHERE in St. Paul is this???

There was a Crisis center in Burnsville I drove by when I worked at the mall there. I think it said "Pregnant? Need Help? (phone number)"

What kind of help I can only imagine. I should go there as a parent and see if they want to help out a born child.

I don't think the Pro-Choice movement is about dehumanizing the "unborn child," as a bumper stick put it. It's about humanizing women...

Tell me how it goes...

Or walk in (you're a teen, right?) with a kid and ask for help. My jaw will drop all the way to Australia if they give you more than a Bible and a business card.

One or two weeks ago there was an article in my newspaper concerning crisis pregnancy centers as well as abortion clinics. They had POV's from two women, one said she was misled and the crisis pregnancy center tried to sway her views when she clearly wanted an abortion while the other woman was glad to have gone there.

Of course in the middle of the page was this box that had three columns... the catagory in the middle and what the abortion clinic and pregnancy center say about it.

Ex: Fetal pain
Pregnancy centers: The fetus can feel pain in all stages of the pregnancy.
Abortion clinics: The fetus cannot feel pain until at least the third trimester.

Or it was something like that. But when I read what information the pregnancy centers give out, I was shocked. The pro-lifers really can't use anything besides emotional appeal and false information, can they?

But isn't St. Paul in Minnesota? And where I live in California, no one cares enough to pay for a billboard to express their views.

I genuinely believe that there MUST MUST MUST be pregnancy centers. To help women.

BUT

A pregnancy center should help women in an unbiased way... Not shove s**t down their throats to force them to do something they don't want to do.
