The alarm went off 2-3 times this morning to wake me up for class, but I just didn't feel like going to my 8 am lab. So I didn't go. And now I think I am going to skip my 10 am poetry class. I have too many things to study for (a test later tonight and a test tomorrow). Will I be smote with a big stick and get in trouble for skipping class? I don't think so!

The alarm went off 2-3 times this morning
and I eventually got ready for work,
and I was ready before my ride was.

Alarm clocks are the bane of my existence. Someone's gonna give me a thermonuclear one some day...and I'm gonna end up breaking it in a stupor and starting World War III.

Mine goes off a mere 10 min before I need to be out the door, so I have not that luxury. It doesn't go off till 7:50 though, so its nealy ok.

I know some other people who set their alarms to go off 10-15 minutes before they need to be out the door. It isn't fair that guys typically need a lot less time to get ready for the day.

It's not a matter of need, it's a matter of want. I set my alarm 15 minutes early, in case I'm extra tired and want to get ready slowly. However, it would be possible for me to cut that even more. If I slept in my clothes and packed my things for class before hand, I could get ready in under 2 min. If I slept with my shoes on, I could roll out of bed, pick up my bag, and head to class.

I'm willing to sacrifice about 15 min of sleep to put on fresh clothes. You're willing to sacrifice a lot more sleep to do your hair and put on accessories. Don't complain just because you feel a social pressure to put a certain amount of time into your looks in the morning. If you wanted to, you could sleep in--and brush your hair on the way to class. Hell, it may be a victory for feminism. Who knows? Maybe female bedhead will be the new male bedhead.

I set my alarm a half hour before I need to go.

It takes me about ten-fifteen minutes to get ready (I=low maintenance) and then I have loads of time to get on the computer in the morning.

I take most of that for a bagel and some mountian dew. my hair gets combed in the 1/2 hour it takes to get to school, as I'm not driving. Given that all my clothes match, its a matter of 30-40 seconds to get dressed, so I then have a leisurely, by my standards, breakfast.

One and a half hours prior. Shower (including washing and conditioning of my hair), coffee, clothing, take the garbage out, finish coffee, and find my car keys, then I'm out the door. Maybe longer if my bloody car is broken (like now). I have to hitch a ride with my parents. It's embarassing. ._.;
