-Usually quite the morning soquili, Elarinya had slept in and dawdled her way about on this day. Rising not as usual when the sun was slowly rising, but quite later indeed, the sun nestled far enough in the sky to already have dried up the grass dew and chased off the early morning birds. So in fact, it was almost noon by the time her wings spread wide, lifting the ivory and gold soquili from her solitary little mountain home, as she let the breezes catch and drag her downward.

Soaring slowly her eyes watched for a stream or spring of some sort, having not yet realized what exactly the later start in the day might have brought her. As of yet she was still socially niave enough to not understand when and where others might play. But perhaps that was a good thing, if she were to ever get over her crippling shyness.

Glimmer of sun on water finally caught the mare's eye, and with a gentle circling, she began her slow descent, letting her golden feathers splay out to slow her fall, until finally her hooves lay on the still cool grass. Giving a mild shake, and a subconcious little nicker of victory, she trotted over the water's edge, dipping her neck to drink from the slowly flowing stream.-

In the mountainous homeland that he had left behind for this place the light of the sun hitting white caps and drifts of snow was enough to blind any who wasn't used to it... And certainly enough to assure that everyone awoke with the coming of the fiery orb no matter how much they longed to sleep in. The sun on the plains wasn't nearly as bright but, out of habit, he still awoke at dawn.

His mouth had been dry when he awoke, as if he had been munching on cotton. It was an unpleasant feeling to walk around with and no amount of munching on dewy grass was enough to make it go away. There had to be a stream or a clear pond or a lake somewhere.

He had then set off a-wandering, searching for something to soothe the dryness of his mouth. The layout of the land was still unfamiliar to him and the sun had managed to climb high into the sky by the time he found what he was looking for. "Ah-ha!" He declared triumphantly as he trotted towards the stream, dipping his muzzle in to lap at the cool water without realizing that he had invaded someone's privacy.

-The cushioning grass and running water did something to hide the sound of approaching hooves, but the mild decree of victory had been enough to draw Ela's eyes upward, and she still suddenly like a frightened doe.

He was beautiful really, and so similar too. White bodies with golden manes and wings them both. Only there was something strange about his wings... And the gold was not the same, his a more cremey subtle then her own. But it was not that that kept her eyes glued. But instead the soft curls and kinks of his hair. It was beautiful, and wild. But wild was frightening.

Like a statue she stayed, neck half streched out over the water. Perhaps if she didn't move he wouldn't see her.. she deluded herself. But nonetheless she tried it, body held almost comically in it's position, neck streched far, bright wings spread out wide to try and balance, as she awaited his drinking and departure.--

His cool, generally calm demeanor returned once he'd satiated his thirsts, eyes closing as he released a sigh of relief. Now he could begin to accept the beauty of the day; the coolness of the breeze, the warmth of the sun... Opening his eyes he could even appreciate the beauty of his surroundings and...

When his eyes fell upon the statuesque form of the mare they went wide. He had been told that the demon-kind had come to this land but not that those from the high mountains had. Heavens, how long had it been since he'd seen one of their kind walking the land?

His breath caught in his chest and it was only after realizing that he had been holding it that he released it, owing his head low out of respect and apology. "I beg your pardon, Madame. I was not aware that this stream had already been happened upon by a creature far fairer than myself. Forgive me for not announcing myself properly before disturbing you." His voice sounded soft, almost soothing... And then it took on a lighter, airy tone as if picking up on her nervousness. "I assure you, I'm harmless. Completely so."

-Silently she watched as he drank, glad that she'd already quenched her own thirst before he'd arrived, because even without her throat demanding, she was almost inclined to join him in the motion.

And as his attention switched and finally fell onto her a heavy breath whooshed from her as well, taking in the words with soft wonder. The long strew of them together in his soothing tone was enough to settle her a little. Head lifting once more as her side wings folded delicately against his sides. But despite the comfort it still did not touch the shyness, which became dreadfully obvious from the soft rustle of shivering feathers and the aversion of her eyes from the stallion.-

"Y.. yes.. I'm sure you're not." -Was the immediate reply to his worries.

-And for a long moment she stood awkwardly silent, until finally she shifted her hooves carefully, as he mind replayed his words.- "But I think you might be... mistaken? You are lighter than I. So wouldn't you be.. the fairest?"

-Philly-like curiousity and oblivousness. She after all had only few encounters with those that spoke much in her short lifetime. But almost as to sooth the trouble, were any to come from her pointing out his 'mistake', she added softly.- "It would be cruel not to share the stream.. It belongs to everyone. And even if it did belong to me, to turn away someone thirsty simply isn't..." -She fished for the correct words for another long pause, before finally she nodded, the first of her motions to seem particularly strong or passionate.- "right. It wouldn't be right."

Shyness was something that he seemed to understand, at least. Had it not been for the various interactions that had been brought upon him since his arrival he to would have still been in such a state. In this mare's presence he was reminded of that as, again, he found himself at a momentary loss of words.

That loss was, of course, forgotten when she spoke again. He found soft laughter lifting his chest as he shook his head slowly. "I would be mistaken were I refering to coat alone. I consider a mare of any shade or hue to be fairer than myself... Especially one such as yourself, Madame."

He had been told, often enough, that he spoke far too much for one who had been sent to watch and learn... But how did one truly learn anything without firsthand interaction? He hadn't even begun to understand some things and there were others that he knew he never would.

"I apologize anyways. It was not my intention to startle anyone." He seemed younger; almost sheepish for a moment as he lowered his gaze.

((Sorry about the delay dear. Holidays always kill my time and inspiration for rp))

"It's alright." -She assured once more in her soft little voice, going so far as to give a light nod. He seemed nice. She wasn't exactly sure what about him it was, but despite the familar bit of nervousness, the angeni felt no threat from the stallion. And that of itself eased her, settling the original urge she'd had to simply try and spread her wings and leave.

And the young grin, only seemed to pull forth at Ela's on childlike wonder, and though she stayed stuck to the ground like a statue, her eyes and curiousity were once again dancing around the stallion. Her social skills weren't up to par yet, so she didn't realize any rude connitation that might be taken as her voice perked once more, her own feathers ruffling subconciously.- "Your wings...?"

(( No worries. I spent a good part of the weekend completely uninspired myself. @.@ ))

He turned his head, glancing at the markings in question. "Oh... Those? They certainly look like wings, don't they? I'm afraid they're just a bit of decoration though. Nothing at all like yours, Madame..." He blinked, realizing he had yet to properly introduce himself and he... Did not know her name either.

He lowered his head once more, this time in a soft gesture of greeting. "My name is Aziraphale. Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner..."

-Just markings? She stared at the markings once more, before nodding softly to dismiss the optical illusion.- "Ohh.. But they are very pretty markings I think. I am simple myself" -The statement was matter of fact, and though the soft hints of a smile finally hitched upon her muzzle, she seemed neither proud nor dissapointed by the admission.-

-Upon procurring his name, she gave a small shake of her mane, willing her long locks to stay out of her line of sight for the moment, the distance between the two a good enough boundary. And softly she tested his name.- "Aziraphale..."

"I'm Elarinya."

"Nice.. to meet you." -It was half truth, half politeness, so it came out sounding more silly than graceful, which obtained a nervous little swaying of her tail as she realized it.-

"Wings, as simple as they may seem to one in posession of them, are often viewed as something more than simple by those without." He nodded slowly, his smile remaining soft. "You, Elarinya, are also in posession of two pairs." Another nod was given in the general direction of the tiny wings behind her head.

"It is, most certainly, a pleasure to meet you." He had many questions that he wished to ask the mare but all of them seemed inappropriate to ask anyone that he had just met, let alone a creature like her. He was fascinated by her appearance as much as he was partially relieved to see something familiar again even if it wasn't someone familiar.

He cleared his throat softly, lowering his gaze when he realized that he had been starring rather rudely. "Pardon me... Do you know this area well? I've just recently come to these forests myself."

-Said feathers rustled softly as they were spoken of, and at his words, her voice piqued.- "I've five pairs actually.. perhaps that's why they don't seem so exciting to me?"

-Eyes glancing down to her side, where one of the sets of translucent wings occassionally appeared, she added quickly, as if to explain why he could not see them now.- "They're more elusive though.. Only when I need them."

-Luckily she'd been consumed with her own thoughts to miss most of the stallion's look, only catching the tail end of the curious stare, so she simply lifted her gaze away from his eyes, upward to the sky. In fact she almost sighed with relief as the question sounded, drawing her attention away.- "Yes... and no."

"As well as one can know from one season. I came here when the snows were falling quite heavily. So.. while I know the area... more than likely I will not recognize much of it once the plants begin to bloom and grow."

-Eyes finally pulling from the sky, she broke her statue-like state, taking one baby step closer as she looked to him curiously once more.- "Are you looking for something..?" -She liked to help after all. Maybe she could..-

"When I first arrived there was snow as well. It reminded me a bit of home... But then it began to melt and, truthfully, I can think of few sights as lovely as flowers in full bloom." He nodded slowly, letting a smile grace his lips. "I suppose then it becomes more a matter of remembering waterways and large trees because those rarely change."

"Looking for something?" Was he? No, he didn't believe he was... Someone, more often than not, but not something. He shook his head slowly. "No. At least, I don't believe that I am but sometimes, I've noticed, we don't realize that we are looking for something until it's found."

"Lovely indeed.." -She drawled in soft agreement, pictureing the sight of spring meadow momentarily.- "There are so many lovely things to see I think, but the colorful flowers are a uniquely beautiful sight."

-She pondered over his next statement for a long moment, letting her eyes settle on the male finally. He was very wise wasn't he? Which was why the words seemed so intagible despite their obvious truth, and she nodded finally.- "I suppose you're right. I often find pleasant company when I don't expect it or know that I wanted it.." -She offered a smile, her mild attempt at a compliment. Whether he'd constrew the compliment out of it however, she wasn't particularly sure.-
