I'm trying to make the Sound Pretear outfit and I was wondering how to make the border and the image design on the top part of the outfit without looking really bad x.x;;... I was thinking about iron-on transfer, but afraid of cracks forming in the design due to being stretched out by my chest ^^;;. Also wondering how to make the top part of the skirt to lay straight out like it does in the images. I think that's all I have to ask for right now ^^;.

Himeno cosplay = awesome.

well hold out for some better suggestions because im far from a pro, but i say using Fabric Paint for the design wouldn't be so bad..to prevent it from being thick and glumpy, pour some onto a pallet and then apply it thinly with a brush as opposed to using the spoute on the paint bottle..

..for the skirt..sew a slip under neath it..with that fluffy netting stuff..

Im not sure if that helped or if i even answered your question. sorry.

I SO VERY----- I

Well, look who hasn't posted in a million years. I forgot I was even in this guild. sweatdrop

Anyway, you can do what Miyuki said and use fabric paint, which should work fine, or you can cut the designs out of different colored fabric and sew them on. I can't think of any other way to do it. Then again, I'm no professional either. ^^;;

To make the top of the skirt straight, I suppose use really stiff interfacing (you can buy interfacing that irons on to the wrong side of your fabric so there's no need to sew it.) Or it might need wire in it. I dunno. The underskirt could maybe use some netting underneath.

You need one hell of a stiff krinlin.
either that or use card board hidden between the krinlin and upper part of the skirt.
