Even though he did have his head smashed many times and is not all up there, 2-D is the singer and I think he is overall the most important Gorillaz band member. Noodle would be a close 2nd.

Del is very important compared to Cracker.
He is actually apart of the Gorillaz hit Client Eastwood. And he himself is a symbol. I fyou read The Rise of the Ogre you can understand a lot more of why Del is very important, especially to Russel.

I'm going to say Del because I just like him better. All Paual ever did was somehow,in a vicarious way, bring Noodle to them by...err...getting very friendly with certain members.
