This would be the third time his common sense wrestled with the irritating flutter in his stomach. That was the only thing Tsani was certain of, at this point.

The stallion shook his broad head. A friendly gesture, that's all it was! The mare was practically a neighbor at this point. Since coming to this place, he had grown used to the presence of others, if not their company. He didn't feel like flying any further from the mountains. He was far away from them enough. They had surely forgotten him long ago.

He snorted at the memory of the Wind herd there, and a familiar ache bloomed in his chest. That was enough to spur him from the trees at last, searching for Esha.

The change in seasons was always an adventure. But that didn't mean it couldn't cause some problems. Esha snorted in the cold air, her ears flickering as she peered around her. Small patches of snow lingered in areas where the sun couldn't reach, since it wasn't warm enough yet to melt everything with the coming of spring. So half the grass was frozen and covered in ice. And most of what had been free was trimmed nicely, probably by another equine. But frustration hardly did anyone any good, so Esha easily kept herself relaxed, a small smile on her face as she walked along with her head low, her hooves chrunching through the ice. She hummed a little as well, lipping at a few blades of grass with a swish of her tail. Another day, another adventure. Even if it was only finding some non-frozen food.

Plumes of frosted breath escaped his nostrils as he spotted her past the trees, and he landed hard and fast, sending snow flying in a glittering spray. He fluffed his wings and folded them, starting forward to call a greeting to her.

He got about three steps before he found the flight in the cold air must have frozen the words his throat.

Esha paused, feeling a gust of cold air. One ear flicked gently back before she lifted her head with a long sweep of her tail. She turned her neck to see over her shoulder to spot a familiar face not far away. She smiled warmly, her completely natural expression. Ah, it was Tsani. Both ears pulled forward gently as she offered the greeting he seemed unable to make, "Ah, hello again Tsani! What a nice surprise." It was always nice to have some company, and Esha certainly wasn't the type to turn it down in any shape or form.

The big stallion switched his tail at the reappearance of the fluttering, nodding to the mare with a broad smile.

Nice surprise? Nice surprise....

He cursed the fluttering that surged back with a vengeance. Of course it was a nice surprise! He still had what it took to impress!

"It is for me, to be sure." he said at last, straightening and spreading his wings. "What adventure are you off on today, my dear?"

Tsani sure had an interesting way of speaking. While it wasn't alien or anything too abnormal, it wasn't the type of speach Esha heard every day. It was just another one of those small things in life that you could notice and enjoy, or just let pass you by. Esha seemed to do the first of these. Esha smiled and turned her head to flick her bangs out of her face, "Nothing too spectacular...digging around throught the frosty grass, really." And while her words said of the boring task, her tone was a pleased one. One might think it strange that the difficult task of finding something to graze gave her a smile, but everything did. It was just how she was. "What about you, mm?"

"I, uh, had been doing just that myself." the big stallion replied, faint quaver in his voice fading fast. Just his luck, as only he got lucky! She was doing the same thing! Shaking his mane as he felt the noose around his neck loosen, he flashed the mare a casual, confident smile. "Why don't you join me, my dear? Everything is better with company, isn't it?"

"Sounds like a plan," she said, keeping the same smile, "For I agree-why do something alone when you could share the experience?" She swished her tail and took a few long, graceful steps to join him. They'd probably have better luck finding good grass together anyway. Two eyes are better then one, as the saying went. It could easily be applied to this situation as well.
