I am primarily a singer/actor, but I do a lot of doodles of womens' heads in notebooks and such. I want to expand my horizons a bit, but first want to know what you lot think I can do to improve the heads themselves (based on this example) before we move into the much more painful world of bodies.

Eventually I want to be able to draw guys as well...but yeah, one thing at a time.

Also, I've asked my choir director for some concert recordings I've had solos in...so you may all get to hear me sing before too long. Woopdeedoo!

That is really interesting; your eyes and noses and mouths have decent form to them and even a bit of character, and on the other hand a lot of this image is way off. The overall shape of her head and jaw need work, as well as the placement of the neck.

Seems to me that you have a grasp on some things that most beginning artists take a while at, but are missing some basic foundation.

Thanks, guys! I will take a look at tutorials and get some more stuff up as soon as I have a good chunk of time to really devote to art. I'm about to enter tech week for a show I'm in...so life's kinda hectic as of right now.
