So, one of the first things you learn as an art f** is that other art fags despise thumbnails, with good motive. I think the real question on everyone's mind is, what should the maximum width and height value be for a submission page?
Another thought is to add a 500x500 preview on the page, and have it serve as a large thumbnail, allowing a viewer to see the basic image and still be able to browse the thread.
But what are your thoughts?

That's a good question, because my resolution is freakishly high and I always worry that I'm stretching the page. I think 600 is a good width limit (with reasonable pixel leeway <50).

I have a nice big widescreen so stretching isn't really a problem for me.
I think around 600 width is fine. Length isn't really a big issue.

I'm on a 17" screen. I reckon 17" or 19" is the normal size for most people, since that's the size you get out of a box right now. I always re-size my pictures to about 600 anyway. I can't really see what use having it bigger would be, since scrolling makes anything suck.
So, yeah, using a smaller picture as a link. Nowt wrong with that.

I figured as most of you are pretty serious about art that most people have larger screen. Of course, I didn't add a 600px option. Right now, I have a Viewsonic 17" screen, really anything fits. At the studio I'm on one of those 23" screens and I'm always depressed when I come home to a crt. stressed

I got 1600x resolution and 19" screen, but I tend to use my moxilla like... half of it. I multitask a lot. Like play game, watch a movie and roll on internet at the same time, so everything is anyways is stretching my site.
So, basically, I get annoyed if the pics are too small and have these detail shots. If the pic is done in more detail than it shows as posted, then I'd like the bigger picture. So I'd be pretty much fine with anything up to 2000 pixels. Possibly more, if there really is that much details.
I used to hate links to big pictures, until I learnt to use the upper click in my tablet.
But I tend to be alone on this matter, most people like smaller pictures, I guess. (Which makes it hard for me to choose a good size for the pics I post)
