The Elementals

Heat and warmth is what he does
To light the lonely dark
In every heart he resides
To comfort even the lark

To cool and calm is what she does
Flowing slowly by
Falling down upon the Earth
Controlled across the nigh

To grow and provide is what she does
Giving nutrients to the plants
What she does is taken from her
Even by the ants

To blow and change is what he does
To give birds their flight
Giving breath to the living things
Hidden even by sight

Remeber the song "I'm a Barbie Girl"? Do not ask me what I was thinking that day, I have no clue whatsoever! sweatdrop Yeah, sorry about the cussing part....
I’m an Irish girl,
In a Pagan world,
Life with magic,
It’s ever havoc
You can get cursed
When you steal my purse
Enchantment,
The demons all go rampant,

C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Ho-ocus Po-cus
C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Abra-ha Kadabra
C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Ho-ocus Po-cus
C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Abra-ha Kadabra

The warlocks next door,
Have a little store,
Full of potions,
And sexy lotions!
The hags across the street,
Have very stinky feet,
In our city,
Magic’s very pretty,

C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Ho-ocus Po-cus
C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Abra-ha Kadabra
C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Ho-ocus Po-cus
C’mon Witchy,
You’re no b*tchy,
Abra-ha Kadabra

Oh my gosh! That is so great. It made me laugh. I would've never even thought about that. You did a great job with that one. You should enter it in our poetry contest, if you haven't already!

Here are two that I had to write for my creative writing class.

Witches of Nature (a sonnet)

Herbs, potions, spells of gentle healing,
Used by the kind witches of nature
Who know the good and bad of feelings,
Who long for the sage’s adventure,
Who stop people of their own destruction,
Who heal the world one spell at a time
from the harsh and controlling corruption,
Who are ready with quick and graceful rhyme,
Who know the creatures of hidden and revealed.
But as for me, my lips are sealed.

The Children of the Destiny Tree (blank verse iambic pentameter)

The seeds fall from the tree of destiny.
The tree distributes seedings worried
if they will have the nutrients to sprout.
The tree of destiny cares for her kids.
The germinating seeds see what they’ll be
because they are the children of destiny.
They try to follow destiny as if
it was a river stream. Curving slightly,
the seeds must follow nature scenes looking
and learning how to live their happy lives.
They look for guidance from their world of trees.

I was supposed to make the sonnet in Iambic but I didn't really care about it since I didn't have much time to do it. Humm...I need to get that awesome Haiku I wrote from my teacher.

I'm not that good at Iambic or Haikus xp

This is an old old poem of mine. I wrote one for all the seasons and I'm starting on the months.

Autumn falls, with wind cold,
Whispers of tales of old.
Dancing among the trees,
Are the whispers of the flowing breeze.

The wind whips my hair
As I look on into mountains fair.
The wind’s chilly bite
Makes me smile in spite.

From autumn, unto winter
Nothing can give a hinter,
To the oncoming snow
That winter is sure to blow.

The stars are more fantastic!
Sort of a sparkly band of elastic
Spread all over the sky.
And I wonder how the stars stay up so high!

Autumn falls, with wind cold,
Whispers of tales of old.
The whispers speak my name,
I wonder… if it is tame.

Oh wow. I love your poems.

For my creative writing class I decided to edit one of my old poems. It was the one called "My Awakening" that I entered last year in the poetry contest. It is still there if you guys would like to see it (link in first post).

My Awakening

The trees rustle in the wind and the birds sing their graceful tune.
For they have discovered that another soul has joined their quest to help the earth.
The spirits of nature look upon a young woman as she closely approaches the true world.
And guide her so that she may find and learn the ways of truth.

~

I feel the world hum in tune with my existence.
I see the blue glow of the moon protecting me through the night,
And the sun shining on me as I embrace its warmth.

The beings of all existence whisper that I must preserve the balance of the universe.
The plants call to me and I understand my purpose.
To save them in their fight to struggle to live and care for the world.
I feel the sky, earth, water, and fire all meet together inside my soul.
And form a greater wisdom of understanding within me.

Darkness Surrounds Me
Shayna Moore
Darkness, my friend, oh how you surround me,
Our souls unite as I am taken over.
Dark is the foreboding presence called my soul
Pain to others, yet welcome joy to me.
I welcome you to help me find the answers,
But the answers I seek there are none.
Nothing I know is to be reckoned with,
And everything I know everything is to feel.
So I pull back into my little black hole,
Sitting alone as I cry.
All I ever asked for was joy and love,
But all I ever got was pain.

Oh wow. I really like that poem. It is very deep.

Here is another poem I wrote for my creative writing class.

Mother Nature

She brightens your day with peaceful places,
For you are the one that she embraces.
She blooms the flowers that brighten the heart,
And shines the sun so the petals may part.
She makes the rain to make the world grow,
To fill the rivers, to make them flow.
She creates the fire to nourish the soil,
So that the harvest will not spoil.
She summons the wind to cool you down on a hot summer’s day.
She blows the fluffy clouds to you to bring the shade this way.
She cradles you in her arms at night,
And takes care of the earth with all her might.
