Midori looked around. She still hadn't found a place to live, and she had absolutely no clue where she was. Grumbling, she stood up and walked out of the cave she had spent the night in. The mare squinted as her neon eyes struggled to adapt to the bright reflection of the snow. Flicking her tail, she annoyedly kicked a chunk of ice out of her path.

Ares gleaming white coat shone in perfection, his face of an angel yet the torment inside him was as ugly as it could get. His cold heart never to be warmed. He flipped that ebony mane from his face the beaded braids flinging. His coat blending in nicely with the snow, as he looked out he spotted a dark figure and her scent distinguished her to him as a female. He moved forward, he did not know why but he did. He wanted to push forward and she would not stop him.

Hearing a small sound, the mare's ears twitched as she stood still, continuing to squint. Her nostrils flared lightly as she let out a puff of air, looking into the distance. She saw a hazy figure, and wondered if her eyes were playing ticks on her. Sniffing the air, she confirmed that there was somebody there. It was a stallion. Just what she needed. Somebody to sit there and act as if they were the best living thing that had ever walked the earth. Simply sighing, she urged her eyes to adjust to the bright light.

Ares didn't care that she stood where she had, she had a right to stand there. Question was did she have the will to live? He didn't care to test his theory, he was to bored and he hadn't the time. His winter sky eyes glanced around as coldly as the icy wind could make itself. He simply looked to her acknowleding her and moved past her. She did not want his prescence by the look in her eye and he did not know her well enough to want hers.

Midori blinked as he passed her. She was slightly relieved, and her eyes had finally adjusted to the light. Looking around, she hated to admit it, but she was lost. Sighing, she asked, "Where, exactly, are we?" Raising a curious brow, she wondered if he would even answer her. She pawed at the ground lightly, kicking a rock around.

He turned his head suavely looking back to her and gave a gallic shrug that meant everything and nothing. "I do not know ma chiere, I travel alone to places I am unaware of and always find my way back." Though his wings upon his back seemed to assist in that way as well.

Midori nodded. "Oh... Alright. It's just that it seems I'm lost..." She frowned as she said the final word. Never have being lost before, and being too proud to ever want to admit it, she hated the sound of it coming from her mouth.

He stopped and turned he wasn't one to usually help someone find their way, rather make one lose their way. He looked to her, those long locks of hers intertwining of neon greens and ebony never knowing which is the culprit of the high light. "Where are you trying to go?" he asked in a thick french accent.

Midori thought for a moment. "Preferrably to the lake, or at least to civilization... I just hate being alone." She shruggd, but nodded, shaking the hair from her face. Examining him curiously, she looked into his cold, blue eyes with her own glowing ones.

He turned back to where he had came, "it is that way." He looked into her soft eyes and it bugged him. He had slaughterd a doe and her fawns back a ways. It would be thrilling to see her face when she saw them but he did not know if he cared for her to know. Because his scent was all over them. She would consider herself lucky to not be murdered by himself, the dark angel gleaming of white. "I could escort you to the lake ma cheire," he looked to her.

Smiling, she nodded gratefully. "I'd like that." The dark mare slowly walked toward him cautiously. She wasn't exactly sure as to whether or not she should trust him, but he was her only chance to find her way home. Her glowing eyes scanned the area carefully, curious as to what it looked like in the light. She had wandered here late the night before, and her eyesight wasn't all that great. It took her a while to adjust to sudden changes of light.

He nodded and made a swift bow as he was taught from his father from those few days he was ever around. "I am Ares," he looked to her looking back into the wooded area in which he came as his eyes traveled back to hers they had an animalistic feel like a wolfish gaze.

Midori smiled politely as he bowed. "They call me Midori. It's nice to meet you." The difference between how polite he was and how cold his stare was unsettled her. Her glowing eyes studied his. It was amazing how much she could tell just by looking into another Soquili's eyes. She could tell whether they were unsettled, comfortable, lying, or nearly anything else that they may be thinking or feeling. This particular stallion, however, was different.

Ha ha. Can't tell what I'm thinking can you dearest? Takes years of practice but hey, its worth it. He was thinking to himself now, "Pleasure is all mine Lady Midori, shall we then?" he looked and took a step with a motion forward to the crystal clear lake...then again he could always lead her away and play mind games. Options, options...the true questions were 'To behave, or not to behave.'
