Y'sril the wily little raccoon puffed and huffed his way up the hill. He sure is getting old...constantly running after his soquili. Boy, that boy never tires does he, the raccoon grumbled, staring discontentedly at the bright green stallion below who was rearing as if gravity did not apply to him. Y'sril puffed once more, gave a yell, then tucked his legs in and rolled down the hill in a blur of black and white.

Below Fenrir whinnied and leapt out of the way of the ball of fur, stomping his front legs down hard into the snow. "C'mon Ril, you're getting slow!" he grinned, tossing his curly head.
The sun shone bright and glimmered through the slightly overcast sky, lending a cool breeze. Perfect for a good run. Eventhough it had been snowing, the snow here is packed and doesn't slip under the hooves.

Thera stretched her wings, relishing the feeling of the cold wind rushing around her as she lifted up her wings and tussled her auburn mane. It was a relatively pleasant day, if you ignored the biting cold; at least it had stopped snowing for now. Aldora, who had been flying some ways ahead of her, slowed, and dipped, as if she had sighted something curious on the ground. The bird snuck a look back at Thera before diving downwards.

"Aldora?" Thera called after her, and when she didn't look back, the mare trailed after her companion, reluctant to leave the sky.

The hawk slowed to perch on a conveniently placed tree branch in the stallion and raccoon's immediate vicinity. She cocked and tilted her head curiously, trying to get a good look at the two colorful creatures before her, distinctly out of place in the thick, white snowscape. Her voice adopted a civil tone. "Good morning, gentlemen."

Thera followed not long after her friend, touching the ground lightly at a trot before slowing to a stop at a respectable distance from the two strangers. She tossed her head lightly, feeling slightly subconscious in front of a rather good-looking stallion; she was probably sweating after that long flight. She dismissed that train of thought, then raised her head again, grinning and echoing her partner's greeting, "G'morning!"

Y'sril was the first to spot the hawk and cheerily waved a paw towards the tree, "Morning my winged friend.....and my......your lady winged too." The raccoon then turned to the mare who stood apart, bowing his head with a smile.

Fenrir narrowed his eyes, glancing at the hawk and the mare, before realising that the strangeness was the wings and the golden horn. Ah......one of those whachamacallit.....alicorns? He wasn't sure if he trusted them.....normal mares were bad enough, but those with wings and....horn? She can probably fly, he miffed a little, stretching his legs. The green stallion preferred the rush of blood pumping through his legs and body as he ran through the open fields. None of that....flying....
A hearty thump against his hind leg brought Fenrir out of his thoughts and he shook his head, turning to leave. Another hard tug on his tail caused him to duck his head, glaring to meet the equally hard stare of Y'sril. "what?" he muttered, trying not to seem as if he was talking to his raccoon. "She's pretty!" muttered back the raccoon, "You're a stallion! She's a mare! You're getting old....WE are getting old! Go say hi to her!"

Fenrir looked Y'sril in disbelief. "I'm not going to......." he spluttered before the raccoon nudged him forward. The stallion walked forward reluctantly, well...she -was- pretty in a sort of mare like way, with bizarre things all over. Y'sril, as if guessing what was on his stallion's mind, grinned and nudged him, "you're no better, flower boy."
A deep crimson blush swept through the soquili's cheeks.

Thera bobbed her head amicably back at the raccoon, before turning her attention back towards the stallion. Now that she got a better look at him, he really was rather good looking. She hoped she was making a good first impression, at least. Perhaps she should toss her head again, show off her flowing and elegant figure, maybe take a more flattering stance, or maybe...

Her thoughts were interrupted by her outburst of laughter at the expression and blush which overtook the approaching stallion's rather flattering features. No, laughing like an idiot wasn't exactly what she was going for. She made a weak attempt to cover up with a cough - it seemed like she was doing that a lot lately - and she returned to her now not so convincing quiet smile, her lips twitching at the corners. Let's try again. The mare repeated her greeting, letting her amusement sound through, "Hi there."

Out of the line of sight of the two men, Aldora rolled her eyes and gave her companion a look. Thera pointedly ignored her, and Aldora sighed silently, pitching into the conversation, "Nice weather for a good run, isn't it boys?"

Fenrir stopped short, staring at her. She...she was laughing! At him? The blush turned more crimson but his eyes narrowed, "Hi....do I somehow amuse you..." he said, somewhat grumpily. Mares....they are all the same. Either they try to whack him or they laugh at him. What on soquili land was there to laugh at. So his coat shone with flowers and he had a long wavy mane.....he happens to think it was a very unruly stallion mane, very...wild in fact.
It suited him......Fenrir sniffed slightly, and tossed his head up, now glaring at her. Y'sril meanwhile approached the hawk, "Perfect in fact," he replied, looking up, "FenFen loves to run, perhaps you and your lady mare would do better to accompany him than I will.......after all what's a raccoon to do about short legs?" He looked forlornly at his paw, his expression an altogether comical exxageration.

A shy shaking of the head indicated Thera's response to the stallion, "No, not at all! What could have made you think that?" She tossed her companion a look. Great, Aldora didn't do anything this time to prompt her laughter--nowhere to lay the blame on! "Excuse me. It is pleasant to meet one such as yourself. I'm Thera." An honest smile accompanied her last statement, as well as Aldora's roll of the eyes.

"Right," chuckled the hawk, "and I am Aldora. My friend's forgotten her manners, it seems... eh, Fen...?" She stared at the yellow stallion questioningly. Was that an actual name?

"A nice walk, instead, would be better," Thera interrupted, winking at the small black and white raccoon. How adorable! A nice combination to offset the much more colorful stallion. "Unless I have offended too much, I wouldn't hope?" Her gaze suddenly turned to the yellow-coated male.

He snorted, slowly walking around her, gauging her. Ears flickering and wary eyes.......
"I'm FENRIR.............fenfen is what -he- calls me," the stallion said, tilting his head to indicate Y'sril. "And I wouldn't say it's pleasant at all.....I'm a stallion of the wild,"he mock nipped at her, barely nearing the mare just to make his point.
He now stood infront of the hawk, narrowing his eyes and peering at her curiously.
Talking to birds now was he.....true, he may be a hunter, but birds.....are not soquili.
Y'sril noticed the pause, and the fact that Fenrir now has his guard up and being rude.
The racoon tutted, and and scrambled near to Thera, gently tugging at her foreleg, "A walk will be nice, I can come along too miss Thera." and he hissed at his friend, "come on."
Fenrir turned around, flicking a tail at Aldora and followng the raccoon.

Thera's own eyes narrowed on the stallion who was encircling her. The act of that did not seem well to her--it reminded her of predators inspecting their prey right before capturing it.

"Fenrir, eh? A stallion of the wild?" she echoed the stallion's angry remark. But as soon as those words escaped her mouth, she found Fenrir very uncomfortably close to her, with his head and his n** and the near contact of n** and body. She snorted at the action, but let it go, seeing as the two had just met. It would not have been civil to break bridges this early in the relationship.

The hawk watched all of the previous actions with an attentive eye. Fen, or Fenrir seemed too defensive to the point of crudeness. "Watch out for this one..." mumbled Aldora to Thera.

Eyes locked onto Fenrir, capturing the stallion's every movement as if he were about to attempt something dangerous to her mare companion or to herself.

"Of course," Thera said in a more soft tone to the raccoon at her hooves. "Would you like to come up? It would be more comfortable for the both of us, I believe. Something warm to blanket my back would be nice," she added with a laugh. She lowered her head to allow the raccoon to hop on if he liked, while her eyes kept on Fenrir. "Enjoy the idea, stallion? Maybe it'll cool you down a bit if the snow hasn't yet." She stifled another laugh.

He decided to ignore her, his pride hurt........mares, can't live with them, not at all, he thought still rubbing a sore spot.
But meanwhile Y'sril has accepted Thera's offer, and eagerly scrambling up her back, careful to not let his claws scatch the tender coat.
"Thankyou my dear,' he said, tucking furry paws beneath him and curling up comfortably. Ahh...many time he has journeyed with Fenrir like so and no doubt the stallion was remembering too.
Indeed Fenrir's discomfort was not as much directed towards Thera than by the fact that his raccoon was getting on so well with her. "Humph" he said to Thera grumpily, flicking some snow at her with his hoof.

A nod came from Thera as Y'sril got on, and she was grateful that he hadn't accidentally moved a feather on her wings. She had noticed an amusing angry noise uttered by Fenrir and smiled wordlessly, even after he kicked snow towards her. Though his outward appearance and personality seemed rough, she knew there must've been some kind of good inside that bright yellow facade!

"Alright then, ready?" Aldora squawked before leaving her perch with a quick swift flap of her wings, ultimately landing gracefully on Thera's behind. "Where will you be heading?" she asked, mainly to Fenrir. "You weren't going anywhere in particular before we met, were you?"

Thera laughed and started to walk without a glance back at Fenrir. She was pretty sure he would come at once, especially since she had his companion on her back. "Does it matter, Aldora?" she said, turning her head behind to look at her familiar at the corner of her eye. "We're all here just for a nice, healthy walk. Looks like Fenrir needs it, I suppose," she chuckled.
