Nalikai hummed softly as he sauntered across the small field toward the forest. Plowing through the soft white snow that ckklung to his fur. He grinned behind his scarf. What a lovely day, the perfect whether for him. Cloudy and dark with a distinct chance of more snow. Aah, he loved winter.
He grinned as the memories of a little turkey-like numa he had played with earlier crossed his mind. How fun that had been! And then his recent encounter with Vyolett...it hadn't been so bad, they were growing on each other. He sighed softly as he reached the shade of the trees, What was he supposed to do today? No one was around that he knew of...well, Ryuune was, but he was busy with his mate and it was an unspoken rule that he wasn't supposed to disturb them....

ugh...it's f-freezing...
Kieran sighed softly, dragging his shivering body around in the thick blanket of snow. Winter wasn't his favorite season, to say the least. All the other numas would be having fun running around in the fluffy white stuff, but the blue furred numa didn't want any of that. He just wanted to go home and sleep.
Sleep sounds wonderful right about now.
He came to a small forest, sitting down and resting against a tree. It still would be awhile before he reached home, and he found this to be the perfect spot to relax for a bit, even though it was cold. A large sneeze he made reminded him of that fact.

Nalikai was busy licking a paw free of snow-a fruitless effort and he knew it-when a sound reverberated to him, "Nyah~?" He murmured, ear-fins twitching toward the origin of the sound. It sounded...decidedly male. A playful smile flickered across his maw. What's this? he stood and trotted into the forest, intent on finding the source....and perhaps some fun.

Rubbing his nose with a paw, Kieran sighed again. Now I'm probably getting a cold, too. Great. Leaning back against the tree and becoming silent, he started to hear footsteps. It was hard to tell where they were coming from, but someone was definitely approaching. Who, was the question. Deciding to stay put and deal with that someone when they arrived, he shivered again, and shut his eyes.

"You know," Commented Nalikai lazily as he sat down next to the blue male, right next to the male's ear-fin, "Being alone in the cold....is not very fun." His eyes danced with amusement. What luck! Not only was his guess right, but this male was gorgeous too! Blue fur so dark it was almost black until it reached the edges where it seemed to glow a beautiful blue. Oh it was a truly lucky day indeed.

Kieran's blue eyes shot open, and he jumped back a few feet. "Aah!!" He fell into a large drift of snow, sitting up and shaking his head to rid it of the snow. The numa came face to face with another male numa, who was almost completely black, save for his front paws that looked as though they were dipped in blood.
"Y-you're kidding, right? Of course it's not fun." He replied, shivering.

Nalikai grinned and twitched his tail lazily, amused by the others antics. "Indeed..."He stood and raised a brow at the male numa, "May I ask your name, love?" He asked, smiling a bit. The term at the end of his statement was more habit then actual endearment, though Nalika was fully prepared to allow it to become so. His wings fluttered, perhaps...in anticipation?

Kieran frowned, and tried to climb out of the white. "It's Kieran." He answered, grumbling. Now he was even more cold as he was covered in the snow that he so dispised. The stupid precipatation embedded itself in his fur, and clung to his paws. It had become even more annoying than it already was.

Nalikai smiled and climbed up the frozen tree, looking down at the gorgeous blue numa, "If you want to get out of the snow, you should come up here." He offered and used his tail to wipe off few branches. Tails were useful like that. He hid a grin behind his scarf, this male was so cute! Trying to get the snow off his paws, he didn't seem to notice that Nalikai would gladly help him with that. Too bad though, Nalikai han't had fun like that in a while.

"mmmph." He followed the other up the tree, climbing as carefully as he could. Once reaching the spot where the other one sat, he stretched out on the branch, limbs hanging. The blue numa sighed aloud and rested his head there as well, shutting his eyes and letting his tail sway back and forth a little. One could tell he was calmed down, now.
"I never got your name."

Nalikai had been watching the other male intently, golden-green eyes scroutenizing Kieran's every move as he watched the male climb the tree. So nimble...
His posture perked slightly as a question wass directed toward him. He smiled slowly, "Nalikai," He purred softly, "My name is Nalikai." His gaze remained on the male, though his posture softened as he lay between a split in the trunk.

He opened one clear blue eye to look at Nalikai. A guarded smile appeared on his muzzle, as well.
"Nice to meet you, Nalikai."
He closed his eye and exhaled, his breath visible as it rose.

Nalikai laughed softly and shifted his position. His tail slunk out and tapped Kieran's nose gently, once, twice. "It won't be much fun, if this because a one-sided conversation, love." He commented absently, "And I do believe, sleeping in this weather isn't advised either, you might find yourself on the wrong side of popsicle." It was a strange metaphor, but Nalikai wasn't the type to use any old metaphor anyway.

Kieran opened his mouth as his nose was patted, baring his teeth. It wasn't really too threatening, seeing as how the one who did it wasn't trying to be.
"'m not sleeping." He answered, turning over a little and showing off his stomach. "just resting. My feet hurt from walking so much."

Nalikai smiled and raised a brow slightly, "I see, and how much have you walked, Kieran?" He asked, silently savoring the taste of the name. Perhaps he would be different then the others. A soft chuckle escaped as he examined a red-stained paw, hopefully....it would be different. He unsheathed and retracted his claws slowly, all but fascinated with it.
