“Jenna.”
*The red male called out. His paws slowly padded on until she stopped and called out again.*
“Jenna?”
*His tail was batting from side to side as he stood in place; scoping the area around him. He was thrilled to see her today! They had spent so much time together and had finally confessed to how they both felt about one another: He loved her and she loved him- things couldn't be any better… but there was an ache in his chest from wounds that were still slowly healing over. He knew why he felt an almost… regret right now, but he wouldn’t allow himself to speak of it.
He wouldn’t worry Jenna any. Even if his mind still couldn’t let go of the memories he had with her, his heart longed to feel, and so thus it would move on. His ears pushed forward as he took a few steps and called out again. Where she could be?- he thought for a moment, before settling himself down. His tail swag from side to side as his tongue rolled out of his opened muzzle; he panted and awaited Jenna’s appearance, knowing that she would soon be here.
She had never left him alone for too long. Reminiscing back to past events the red wolf sat and gazed of into the nothingness before him. The trees became his canvas as he thought back to the night that he and Jenna shared together. Things seemed of perfect… what could go wrong?*

Don't tell him yet don't tell him yet don't tell him...
It was so early in on breeding season; no one could be for sure. Why, maybe she was just late, really--really late. And the extra weight? It could always be from over eating, which she now did plenty. But it was inevitable, no matter how much she denied it, that Jenna was pregnant.
And with a heavy set of pups, to be exact. Whether she was filled with two or six, it didn't matter, her belly still bulged and her back still felt broken in two. She lugged her mass around these days, keeping a smile on the placid features she had, while inwardly dreading the thought. It wasn't puppies that drove her mental at times; it was--well being pregnant.
The female hadn't thought of birth in forever, and honestly she was afraid. With her past erased, and it being far too late to change her mind on babies, she didn't know what she would do. Whether she would live or die, or if she would harness the knowledge of 'How to Give Birth' in time for the event.
She was preoccupied enough with these inquires to then be hounded by her mate. Not hounded, of sorts of course, but called by. Jenna had been very moody lately, with the raging hormones and unstable emotions, and had since taken all the opportunities to escape her mate, for his sake. Lord knows how he would handle her aggression, as she never, ever showed proof of any.
Hearing his voice though, calling out, eased her slightly and with some reluctance, she changed coarse and made way to Tristan, where she greeted him with a nuzzle.
'Hi.' She groaned, happily plopping her body onto the floor.

“Mmm-- something wrong?”
*Tristan asked as Jenna came into play. At first glance he could see that she was different in form, but… he didn’t really give it any thought at all. He was very slow, in fact, he couldn’t tell at all, not by her actions or by her sent. To him, she was just gaining winter weight… about nine mouths in advance.
His tail swung from side to side as he bounded himself at her and nipped at her ear playfully. He greeted her with a few licks at her muzzle before sitting himself down beside her. His ears pinned backwards in hesitation as he spoke.*
“You have been... acting kind of... funny?”
*He didn’t mean to see rude, no- he would never try to harm her! But, it was true. Tristan just wanted to know what it was that was bothering her so. She seemed so tired nowadays!*

Jenna always tried to keep to the truth when it came to Tristan. Actually, she tended to want to be truthful to all Wolves she met, because of who she was, however the knowledge of a baby--that was something to hesitate on.
Jenna's form rolled onto her side, where she lifted herself to see her mate clearly. He was so handsome, so dashing...so, sexy. Why couldn't she just bring it up to him? Honestly, she didn't think he'd take it further then shock.
Clearing her throat, Jenna prepared herself to speak, praying the words wouldn't slip out.
'Funny? W-what do you mean?'
Something gathered in her throat, and quickly she gulped it down, desperately trying to act calm, cool and collective.
'Nothings wrong Tristan...How've you been today?'

“You sure? You seem different...”
*He stated with a smirk. Maybe it was just because he loved her so, that made him feel this way. With a playful bark he nipped at her ear again and wiggled himself closer to her.*
“Funny like… I don’t know, you seem like you have been avoiding me”
*He answered her asked question with a soft nod. He didn’t mind, everyone needed space, but it did make him worry. His frame hung along side her own as he settled beside her body.*
“You would tell me… if something was wrong though, right?”
*Tristan questioned with wide eyes. He gazed down at her and let his tail bat along side her own.*
“And… I guess I have been doing well; I may end up leaving tonight for a while, though.”
*Tristan’s gaze narrowed as he slowly let his eyes fall to his paws. At first all he could do was sit there, still and silent. He wondered what she could have been thinking about right now, and what was bothering her so.*
