The time had come. Time to weed out the weak, the useless and recruit the strong. Cadaver was feeling a bit testy after his confrontation with Zira and then having to drag Alora away so as to not waste anymore time. Though in the end, it seemed that he had gained Alora's trust enough. Why else would she want him to stay by her side and help her lead? She had said he was what kept her mind clear and on the task at hand. She needed him. At least that's what it seemed. He did have logical thinking, that was for sure. But Alora did have her quirks about her that needed to be kept in line.
But there was no time to think about all this now. There was work to be done and it needed to get done quickly.
Cadaver tromped along the snow covered ground. The white fluff giving way to his massive weight and letting his legs sink into the more solid water. Damn it was cold. But that didn't bother him much. Giving a brief sweep of the area before him, he did not spot any auras near by. But surely there must be some one out there. So he kept going. He would find others, and hopefully, perhaps some new recruits.

Ahh, winter. Cristallin Arrose's most favorite season. Everything was water! What could be more lovely then that? And it was cold! Oh, how he adored it.
He was trotting around, enjoying the beautiful afternoon. In his mouth was an icicle plucked from a tree branch, and he happily sucked on it, getting a bit of water, and a bit of fun.
Arro was an "unlabeled" soquili of sorts. Too changing to be labeled with a certain personality. With a cheery, yet slightly strange exterior, charming and romantic heart, and a courageous and clever mind, he was a soquili of all sorts. He even contained a slight bit of nastyness, but it never seemed to leak out. Except one time...just once. And only 1 soquili had seen it.

And just like that, out of no where, Cadaver's white eyes spotted an aura trotting not too far away. Though this one was another of those tricky ones that sometimes he couldn't read right away and get an inside look at to how that Soquili was.
Well, perhaps it might turn out better than he thought it might. Though Cad wasn't optimistic about it. He trotted forward then stopped. Letting out a low nicker from deep within his chest at the one other. Figuring it was loud enough that it wouldn't bring any attention but whoever it was that was in his sight.

The stallion's ears flickered towards the sound, the cupped auds listening intently to the nicker. He turned towards the sound to see, at a distance, a dark gray and white stallion.
A chill went down Arro's spine...but it wasn't from the cold. Something about the stallion...filled him with a sense of dread. However curiousity overtook his instinct to leave, so he remained where he was, the icicle hanging out of the side of his mouth like a cigarette.
"'Lo there, sir." he said politely.

From the sound of the voice, it was a stallion Cadaver figured. Unless it was a deeply voiced mare, but he doubted. He sized this stallion up, even if it was just a glowing mass that he was looking at. Though a sliver of dark blue came from what he knew was probably his mouth. Either he was eating snow or something else that he probably didn't want to know about.
"Greetings." His voice was low as he took a couple steps towards the other. "Who might you be?"

Arrose looked over the stallion. He was even eerier up close. He fixed the icicle in his mouth, then with great force, crunched his teeth together and crushed the icicle into smaller pieces, which quickly melted away on his tongue.
"Thy dubbance is Cristallin Arrose. And yourself?" he said cautiously in a low voice.

Cadaver's eyebrows lifted as his eyes lidded halfway to the sound of the crunching. Heh. Was this stallion trying to act like a tough guy by biting into what sounded like ice. At least that's all he could gather it was.
"Cadaver is my name..." He replied quickly. His tail flicked back and forth as he tilted his head slightly to peer at the stallion in front of him. "What are you doing out here all by yourself?"

Arro licked the last of the ice from his lips, suppressing a laugh of delight from crushing the ice.
He looked at him for a moment, then replied gently, "Simply enjoying the snow and and looking for something to eat. What about you, Cadaver, what brings you here?"

His eyebrows sank lightly as the cold spot dispersed. Full attention now back on the stallion in front of him. "Merely wandering and looking at things. Checking things out I would suppose. Though food is also another reason to be out right now. I haven't eaten much in a while...."

Arro looked down at the snow beneath his hooves. "Indeed, food become harder to find now that the grass has browned and died, and the only thing to eat has become it's roots." he said gently, his eyebrows curving downwards sadly.

Cadaver gave a small shrug and a flick of his braided tail. "Well, those with two leggers I suppose have it easy if their two leggers have stored food for them." How disgusting it was that so many Soquili depended on the two leggers for help during the winter. If they were true to their past, they would be strong enough to survive on their own.
He watched Arro carefully for a moment before he spoke. "Do you have a two legger?"

Arro flickered his eyes up towards him again.
"No, I don't." he said simply.
He'd met a few soquilis who believed that Arrose was all domestic, because of his braids and many trinkets. However the trinkets and such were from various other humans, given to him as gifts. Each piece had their own stories. And as for his braids...he'd had them all of his life.
