hey!i play the flute and today i had auditions for district 7 honor band and the first round of all-state band.my flute broke right before the auditions.they had a repair man from the music room there so he made a quick fix so it worked for the auditions.i really hope i make it.i think i did okay but......
i wont know for a few days.wish me luck on making it!

We have district auditions in my district January 6th. I don't think I'll make it, but I want to try out to see what place I get. I'd be very happy with a place in low twenties. Over a hundred flutes try out, just so you know I'm not aiming low or anything. Wish me luck too!! >.< lol

what district are you in and I think somekids from my school got in to the southern California honor band and I just had my district auditions today

I play bassoon at my school and I got 18th chair at region last saturday. There were 40 bassoons in my room and I was the highest ranked sophomore and 2nd from my school.
I was awful though... >_<

i did allstate tryouts dec 9th....i have no clue how i did...these ppl take forever getting results out....i think its funny....i was one of two flutes trying out from my school...and im a freshman...i nailed my etude...but a key decided to stick and my scales so i think i messed up a lil on them...site reading...it was bellow dirt bad...well to my point of veiw......
i heart ninja ....well....not as muchas pickles!!!! mrgreen

Haha, New Hampshire doesn't have districts. Just all-state.
My clarinet sounded all watery during one of my etudes, and I had to blow the spit out of one of the keys. It wasn't very fun xp
But I made it anyhoo pirate

*does a dance* I thought I blew my district auditions (they were in the early part of december GMEA DISTRICT 2!) But.. I got a 97 and got first chair. ^^

Nope, not Georgia. So since I have an audition phobia, I went to all-state with a sextet and I saw boys playing flutes. That made me very, very happy! (Same with a guy shorter than me playing a bari sax that almost looked like it was a third taller than him.)
