Darkness seemed to engulf the entire area. Formerly brightened emerald green blades, that once swayed happily within the sunlight, were desaturated and wilted. They reached towards the ground, and even surrendered against the weight of grayed hooves. Dyre slowly trotted his way across the terrace, the moist earth sloshing beneath his form. It seemed rather cold this evening. A cool breeze chilling against his flesh, his ears bending downwards in order to keep their fading grasp of the faintest heat. Though his body trembled from the weather, his eyes were wide open and aware. He was searching for something very intently, those jade green orbs taking in every detail that he passed. What was he searching for? .. Or whom?

A hard breeze swept the ground, its hostile push attempting to thwart the stature of the now-darkened mare. But nothing seemed to bother the placid mare, who simply stood, staring off into the woods that she called home. It was one of those spells that she oft had, when she would contemplate in her shell, letting neither human, soquili, nor nature in. The blades of grass below her hooves moved about vividly, thrown around by the repeating gales. With each movement, they seemed to wonder about the mare; they tickled the bottom of her hooves as if to penetrate her inner sanctum.
Suddenly, a break in thought abrupted. Nostrils flared as the slightest hint of a warm scent presented itself in the dark night. The mare peered around peevishly, searching for the source of it... She could not tell who, or what it was through the constant attacks of the opposing wind. Lifting a hoof from the ground, she began to walk languidly in the direction of the scented breeze...
