Isipho rested on her back, looking up at the glorious blue sky. Today, was a good day. There had been rain recently, and the grass and soil was still a bit damp. She breathed in the dry air, and closed her eyes. Her head was still ringing, and some of her limbs still ached from her fall a few days ago. But that wasn't her main concern. Her main concern, wasn't even a concern, but merely a little nagging thought. What if the Pride didn't except her? What would she do, then?

Her maw frowned in worry, and she didn't even notice a small bird hopping by, peering at her. Her thin body only lay there placidly, a few ribs quietly poking out.

Isi grunted, and opened her eyes as she heard the bird scratching at a tree, up high. She looked up, hungrily, and got to her feet.

He was walking today, tired of flying, he had been doing too much of that lately, and it made his large muscles sore. His black eyes watched over the land he crossed, the dampened earth beneath his paws feeling cool to the touch, which was nice for his aching paws.

But what was that? Up ahead?

He tilted his head to the side and continued towards it, it seemed like a lioness. Why were so many lionesses out alone on their own? It wasn't safe in some areas, K'Anatak knew that all too well. As he got closer, he pulled his wings closer to his body, he didn't bother using an illusion, he didn't like them much anyway.

"Hello, am I interrupting you Miss?" he asked softly, hoping he was disturbing her.

Isipho turned towards the white lion, and shook her head. There were so many lions out here! She had only met, what, one lioness? Except.. she had been a cheetah. Same thing, she guessed. Smiling widely, she introduced herself, "I'm Isi!" before looking expectantly at him, noting two.. lumpy thing near his shoulders and back. She couldn't really see them.. "What are those?"

The lioness hadn't even noted the fact that he had black eyes, but instead kept staring intently at the lumps. Maybe.. Oooh, maybe it was food. That he.. tied to his back? Hey, it was possible. Especially if it meant it was food he would share.

K'Anatak smiled at Isi, "I'm K'Anatak," he looked to where she seemed to peer at, his wings then? Hmm, perhaps she had never seen a god or goddess before? "They're wings Isi, see?" he extended the ones on his back outwards, and made the ones on his forelegs extend out a bit too.

"What are you doing out here all alone Isi, if I may ask that is," K'Anatak said, his tail flicking to the side. He wondered if perhaps she was lost, perhaps resting, maybe thinking of where to go to get food. Any could be an option really.

Isipho nodded, as if confirming her name, and his. her metallic eyes widened, and her jaw dropped as he extended his wings. "Wow.." She had NEVER seen anything like that before. How did he get wings? Why did he have wings? Awed, she bent over, and poked one with a claw, just to make sure they were real. Surely, they were real, right?

"I'm not alone." Isi said, looking at him. "You're here, so I'm not alone." The lioness said it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, before asking a question herself. "..What.. are you?"

K'Anatak chuckled as she seemed to be gawking at his wings, she must've never seen a god before, least that was his assumption after now seeing her reaction. "They are real I assure you, see?" he extended one to poke her gently on her nose and then pulled it back, and smiled.

"I'm a god, that's why I have wings Isi, you've never seen one such as me have you?" she seemed so nice, and perhaps maybe even glad he was there, saying she wasn't alone because he was there now. He wondered how long she had been alone for before he came...

Isipho frowned, and recoiled slightly from the poking wing, before poking it back again. It was white, just like he was. Hnn. If SHE had wings, what color would they be? She pondered over this passing thought for a second, before looking back up at K'Anatak.

"What's.. a god?" The lioness was sure she had heard the word before.. but she couldn't quite place it. "I don't think I have." She shook her head slowly, in response to his question. "So.. you can.. fly and stuff?" An eagerness filled her eyes.

K'Anatak smiled and sat down near to Isi, wrapping his tail around him and pulling his wings against his back again. She seemed to like his wings, but what mortal had met met that hadn't looked at them several times at least? But it didn't bother him, he liked his wings very much so. Was happy when others seemed to appreciate them as well.

"A god is a lion, or in goddess' cases a lioness, who has a specific realm to attend to, and powers to help them with their duties. For example, I am the god of reflection, so I try to help others reflect upon themselves, help guide them or help try to point them in the right direction of a decision sometimes," he said in answer to his question. Hopefully he didn't just ramble and confuse her.

"Yes, flying is nice, but walking is nice for me as well."

She smiled at him, before looking down at the ground, following the trail of a single ant. Sure, his wings had been amazing, but there was no need to dwell. She could always poke them later.

"Powers?" Isi looked up, listening intently to his description. Still not really getting it, she went on, "Reflection? Cool! Uhmm.. can.. you tell what I'm thinking?" Th lioness grinned, eyes wide. "So, you can fly? Wow."

K'Anatak smiled, so many questions! But this was nice, just sitting and talking with someone, it was very nice. He laughed and shook his head, "No, I can't tell what your thinking, my powers allow me to help someone, who wishes for my aid, so say, if you are thinking of a decision you wish to make, and openly reveal it to me, then I can try to help guide you. Does that make more sense? I apologize if my way of describing things is odd and wordy."

"Flying is alright, I wish I was larger, so that perhaps I could show my mortal friends what the world looks like form the clouds."

"Oh." Isi seemed a bit dissapointed, and looked down for a second, before looking back at him. "Uhm, I think I get it. You would tell me if a desicion is good or.. not good?" Yeah, that made sense to her. Sortof.

"What do you mean by larger? How would that help you show people clouds and stuff?* The lioness tilted her head, confused.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 12, 2006 1:15 pm

"Yes, something like that Isi," K'Anatak said with a smile, ruffling his feathers a bit so they wouldn't stick tt each other later on if they got damp from any rain that might fall. "Well, if I was larger, then perhaps I could have my friends sit on my back when I would fly, I'd have to be stronger too of course, or I could hold my smaller friends that are cubs, and show them what is was like. I'd like to show all my friends what it's like to fly someday, I think they would think it would be nice."

"Oh! Well, maybe I can find something for you to help me on!" Isipho smiled warmly at the God, before finding her eyes gazing at his wings. "Oh yeah. That would be cool! I'd probably be too heavy, though, anyway." Looking around, Isi finally found something K'Anatak could help her on. "Should I.. Leave.. well, here, or stay?"
PostPosted: Sun Nov 12, 2006 1:31 pm

K'Anatak relaxed his shoulders, they were a bit sore, and listened to Isi, hmm, what to do? "Well, the thing to ask yourself Isi, is what waits for you here, and what might await you somewhere else. Where were you thinking of going Isi?" he asked curiously. Perhaps somewhere, where there were a lot of lions might be good for her. So she wouldn't be alone. K'Anatak knew that not many lions and lionesses liked being alone all the time.

Isipho's tail flicked as she pondered. "Well, I wanted to join the Pride-thingie that's here, but I don't think.. they'll accept me." She paused, and turned her metallic eyes up to his. "I was thinking of going to look for my Mum, and my brother, but.." Her slim shoulders gave a small shrug.
