Not that I really want to see this, but the actors are getting to be too old for the movie (sans future selves, which I definitely don't want to see!), so this is just another alternative.
I would like to see something about his sons in the so-called movie, or the so-called next season. I wonder why they brought it up, then never mentioned it again?

Exactly. After all, it was Lister's son that died in the drive room in his mid-twenties. Since Lister is now 28, that would make his sons about 21 now. Maybe they can age all the characters enough to make the sons come back for a visit with dear old dad, or Holly can re-do the Holly Hop Drive and they can go visit themselves again. smile I wonder what Hollisters female version looks like.

There was a blurb about Lister's sons at the beginning of the first episode of the season following Parallel Universe. It went by so fast that I didn't even notice it for months after getting the tapes. Which was kind of sad, since I mostly bought that set to find out what happened with Lister's pregnancies.
Anyway....the twins were supposed to have aged super fast because of being in the wrong parallel universe, and were about 18 when Lister sent them back to their mother.

Don't remember metioning that tid bit. At the very beginning of "Backwards" (Episode 1, season 3) there'a a Star Wars like thing with the story of Lister's sons. Like I said, I bought season 3 just to find out what happened, and was totally bummed that they never mentioned it. It was months before I noticed the scrolling words, hit pause, and read what had happened between the two episodes.

It would be really cool if there was a new ep...like a reunion thing and all teh families of the Dwarfers got together....in the future sorta thing!!
It would be cool if Kryten found a few more of his brothers/sister/had kids..... sweatdrop

ittle_Vash_in_da_world It would be really cool if there was a new ep...like a reunion thing and all teh families of the Dwarfers got together....in the future sorta thing!! It would be cool if Kryten found a few more of his brothers/sister/had kids..... sweatdrop Certainly would be intresting as well as they could do it now without any worries about the aged cast.

At this point, anything new RD would be something to look forward to! (At least until we made sure they hadn't made a total c**k up of it!)

What if they got a new cast but not as the actual Red Dwarf Crew...maybe as the family memebers or whatever happened to the rest of the cat race....etc

The cat race would be pretty cool. I've always wondered why they didn't encounter them at them at all in their journeys.
