Kilima settled her paws. She had been running for the better part of the day, because the rains had chased all the sickly prey out. She wasn't big on killing, only really did it when it was needed. She did take joy in the thrill of the chase however, somtimes it got to be too much. Her paws were bleeding and sore from the amount of running she had done.
But she had succeeded. She had found the perfect prey, an old sick animal, taken it out of it's misery, and had filled her hunger. But she felt like somthing was missing.
Kilima sat down on one of the savannah plain's rocks. The sun was setting, the smell of after rain tingling in the air. It was almost a perfect day...almost.

Ahsante, a typical male, there was no doubting that. He had just found the pack he had been looking for and the alpha had allowed him to join. All this seemed to be somewhat overwhelming for the male, it had led him to wander, not far though.
He had wandered out their inner circle and just outside the graveyard, he wanted to find this lion pride they spoke about, he was in no way hoping to get in a fight, he just wanted to know where they are.
The male circled a little before he found himself a rock to sit on, vunerable, alone, but happy. He had joined the pack he had longed to meet, if he died, he died a happy hyena. This boy was far too optimistic.

Kilima blinked. She had been bored of sitting, so she had padded off, and almost came to a grave yard like thing. She stayed away, for now. She set off in the other direction but didn't get far until she seen somthing on a rock. She tensed, ready to spring if she had to survive.

Ahsante was being himself there was no doubt in the world about that. He was something of a dreamer not vicious unless he had to be. Today however he was alert, it was unusual for him to be that was most definatly true but he knew if he were to become part of the pack entirely he would have to be more alert to what happened around him.
It was because of this he spotted the female. He watched her for a while but said nothing, he knew of females, the two he had met in the graveyard had put him off ever mating, two females with attitudes though if Mafa was open.... He shook his head to rid the thought and continued to watch, it seemed the only sensible thing to do at this precise moment.

Kilima totally froze. She realised they were sorta....staring at eachother? Whatever it was she knew she had been seen. Whoops.
Slowly, she moved her legs so that she was standing up to ful height. Ears pricked forwards. "May I ask whom is staring at me?" she said calmly, hiding the wariness she felt.

"My name is Ahsante." He looked at her, seeing her full shape. Adult hyena, who looked not as good as Mafa but still rather pretty, better then yellow anyway.
"What is your name?" He watched her for a little while more, he knew at some point unless she wanted to join the pack she would have to leave.

Kilima studied him. He was fairly goodlooking, not too bad. "I am Kilima." she answered. "Honored to meet you, Ahsante..."

He bowed his head to her and smiled.
"May I ask why you are here? I do not know if you know but you are on the boundaries of the pack I am part of, if you have no reason to be here I will have to ask you to move on." He looked at her calmly but he had to make sure she was no threat to the pack.

Wow, he was being quite civil. Great. Kilima gave him a half smile. "I knew that, but I often just wander around aimlessly. I never go onto your lands unless absolutely needed. Don't worry, I am no threat to you or any other hyena." She stretched her legs out in front of her. "Why are you so far out? Are there any others around?"

Ahsante looked at her and then towards the graveyard. "No not any hyenas that I know of. Lions are around though, from what I know they hate us as we hate them. It is dangerous." He assumed she could look after herself but either way, he had warned her.
He stretched a little, moving to loosen his joints, he didn't see much conversation happening with this female, though it would have been nice.

Kilima thought for a moment. "Thank you for the warning. I do not need a big lion to eat me while I am busy talking with you." she said, smiling. "You just joined this pack recently, or are you a veteran?" she asked almost cheerily, which was unusual for her..

He looked at her in a strange sort of way. She might not need them to eat her, they wouldn't care.
"New to the pack but I am happy being new, just learning the ropes and the others, I feel its safer to get away sometimes, I wish not to be like a certain female, she has a strong personality but her views are harsh." He looked back over to the graveyard and sighed, he should probably be heading back now.

Kilima saw him looking like he wanted to leave so she stood up. "It was nice talking to you. I don't meet many other hyenas. "Harsh views...hmmm." she thought for a second, then shook her head. "Sorry for wasting your time."

He shook his head, "I would have loved to stay and chat. I just am not sure what Mafa thinks of her pack wandering off, I want to give a good impression, not a bad one." He smiled at her and chuckled.
"You should come and see me again in the pack. They would be all too happy for you to join." He was inviting her, it was nice to have a friend.

"Maybe I should." she said, looking across at the Graveyard. "I like my freedom, but after awhile, it gets dull. Do you enjoy the pack?" She flicked her tail up as some type of bug landed on it. She noticed dark grey clouds coming closer.
