Nothing's Call

Ienzo had, in a way, retreated from the bubbling tension in the middle of the room. After all, he was the cloaked schemer-- he preferred to sit in the shadows and wait until he could twist words around and shoot them back. He liked to pull the strings, not be pulled by them. Though Axel, Larxene, and Dias were not really being puppeteered, they were being pulled by the tide of the moment. Like the ocean itself, their actions were dictated through the flow of the argument.

He, however, considered himself the moon.

Or at least, he was usually in that spot. Right now, it was a battle for the tide. Vivax had the control now, if only because of his position. Ienzo was willing to let the "King" have the upper hand for now. Until he could draw the tide back in, that is.

The redhead had paused before the massive doors, giving Larxene a casual wave to let her know he'd join her and the others in a second. Things had gone fairly well during their exclusive 'private time'. He had even managed to keep his pants, despite Larxene's repeated attempts to do away with them, so he was feeling pretty good...and then those words came up on the screen of his macro laptop, followed by another.

Quistis...

It was too much, too fast. His back fell against the cold, stone wall the macro laptop held loosely at his side. It took every ounce of strength not to scream, so intense was the battle being waged within him at that moment. The flames rose and fell, all out of sorts, temperature leaping to fall, falling to leap...had he placed the dagger in his heart?

Such caressing whispers, he could hear them still..

Louder now, they beckoned to him....but the fire refused to go out.

The macro lap top was shoved into his pocket as he pulled himself up from the floor. A brief clenching of his fists and his temperature flared with such force that his spikes danced and the air howled in the doorway. Chakrams in hand, Axel walked through the doors, his pace quick.

"Yadda, yadda, yadda." He stopped in place, the flames hissing like snakes as they came to life. There was malice in him, a powerful anger in his eyes. One could see it in the very way he walked.

Axel spun his chakrams in hand before he charged forward, halting as he hurled a flaming chakram directly at Vivax's head. "Don't you know when to quit?"

Within the Castle

Tension only had the ability to build up so much before it bursts. Thus was the situation before Vivax. Unseen arguments festered within the Organization until it began to tear apart both Axel and Larxene which proved to be hazardous to Vivax. The temperament of Axel was that of his element: fire. He fluctuated with his mood and was nearly uncontrollable.

In but a few moments, the King found himself in the path of Axel’s chakram. But he did not move. He did not waver. Vivax remained with his feet planted into the ground, steadfast as a stone. The chakram whirred closer until it was an inch away from Vivax’s nose…

… then it completely passed through him.

The image of Vivax flickered for a few moments as the projectile imbedded itself into the wall behind him. Had the King been in a far better mood, a sneer of victory would have formed upon his lips. Today, however, he was not so lucky.

An expression of pure rage contorted his face as a hand flew above his head. “Enough!” Vivax bellowed. A shadow seemed to pass over the room as his hand lowered and aimed for both Xemnas and Saix. A surge of darkness burst and sped toward the two, completely engulfing them. The darkness simmered until nothing of the two reborn Nobodies remained.

“And thus is your negligence!” Vivax turned to the remaining inhabitants of the room, eyes ablaze. “You have yet to show respect and loose that which you need dearly: a leader! Head my words well, should you find them again, they will not the people they were just now!”

The image of Vivax began to fade and steadily grow darker until naught but a voice remained.

“Be wary, Organization XIII. The darkness has yet to grow.”

Inside the Castle

It had been so long ago that it was almost too overwhelming to take a single step inside the castle. There was an uncertain feeling that bubbled deep inside the pink-haired man, one that couldn't quite be placed.

Danger, perhaps?

Whatever it was, it was dissipating, which was a relief as much as not knowing what to expect. Marluxia eyed the castle once more before entering just in time to see a cloud of darkness consume Saix and Xemnas and then...

Nothing.

Sapphire eyes narrowed in distaste. The two were bound to be defeated sooner or later, whether by his hand or the one who planned to destroy them all-- Vivax.

It was the first time Marluxia had set eyes upon the twisted Heartless, and even if it was only a glimpse, he had a wary feeling that it wouldn't be his last.

Definitely not. The thought echoed and was soon pushed reluctantly to the back of his pink clad head when he recalled why he had really come here.

Blue eyes scanned the room, noting the shadow engulfed schemer, the flaming toothpick, and--

A satisfied smirk lifted its way onto his lips. There she was, unharmed like the blonde had assured him.

Inside the Castle

Larxene's lips turned up into a genuinely happy smile with the appearance of Marluxia in the castle. She walked towards him, hips wiggling just slightly, and proceeded to give him a surprisingly soft kiss on the cheek.

"Well, hello there. Better late than never." Turning a bit towards Axel, she dropped her voice so only the graceful assassin could hear.

"So, does our plan still stand? You deal with the toothpick, and I take care of his sweetie? Where should we meet up when we're done?"

Suddenly, she noticed the sensation of Axel's eyes boring into the back of her skull. Realizing there wasn't much time, she stepped away and pulled out the card to Edge. "Contact me later so we can figure that last bit out....Au revoir...."

In a flash, she was gone.
