Wow! I had a belly dancing recital, and it was awesome!

Well, some of the girls MADE their own outfit! Wild huh?!

whee I know that they gave some advice like double sewing ribbons on the bra and fitting the skirt to the waist, but that was all I could remember! gonk

So, if you were trying to make a belly dancing outfit yourself, what would you try to do? whee

Well I'm actually into what the call tribal bellydance that's where they have turbans on with lot's of henna on their hands and feet and stuff like that. It's not so cabaret which might be what you saw.

They are fairly easy to make but the tops is what is going to kill you because you have to adjust it to your breast size. This is a decent like to a website that has patterns for the whole tribal ensamble.

Last weekend my friend helped me make a realllllly easy choli.

First thing she said - never use the simplicity pattern, when you lift your arms up your top goes with it.

I'll try to make a copy of her directions later and post it, it makes really easy and comfy cholis.
