Here is a list of anime/game characters that people keep saying are emo. Sasuke (Naruto) Garra (Naruto) Heero (Gundam Wing) Trowa (Gundam Wing) Vincent (Final Fantasy 7) Cloud (Final Fantasy 7) There are probably many more but these are the ones of the top of my head. Anyway these anime/game characters have been labeled as emo for as long as people have been talking about them. Well their not emo!!! All of these characters have one thing in common they all have very dark and painful histories that have altered them physiologically and sometimes even physically. Because of their emotional state they usually have a tendency to be loners and don't want to get involved with people. They have also been known to have a hard time socializing with other people that are normally (for lack of a better word) happy. Now dose all of this make these characters emo. No it doesn’t. I don't see any of these characters choosing to be this way; I don't see them feeling sorry for themselves (Maybe -Cloud); I don't see them whining about how much their lives suck; I don't see them cutting themselves; and I don't see them wearing ugly cloths, as in long striped socks, raged pants with holes in them, plastic rainbow wristbands, ex. I mean I have even heard someone say that Tifa was emo. Here is a quote. .[.pink.spider.]. RanmaxHikaru I support Cloud and Tifa 100% and I really don't agree with most of your reasons however since we are talking about none cannon couplings if Cloud was out of the picture I think Tifa's best choice would be Vincent. I have many good VincentxTifa reasons but I'll just list four because it's 7:00 in the morning and I'm lazy. In time I may list more. One is obvious, Vincent is alive and Zack is dead. Two Tifa can be there for Vincent in a way Lucrecia never was or could be (Just for the recurred I hate Lucrecia) Three their hardships in love are similar and thus can confide and support each other. And Four they just look good together. Here is a little picture I put together in photshop a while ago.  ugh I hate when people say that you can love someone because they are dead D< such nonsense! just because someone dies doesnt mean that you will stop loving them! and well I think that vincent and tifa would make a TERRIBLE couple! mostly because they would both die from emoness! tifa as I said is not always optomistic and trust me neither is vincent. basically if you stuck them in a room together vincent would be sitting in a corner staring at his gun...and tifa would also just sit there, yes they might talk eventually but nothing flirty or in any sense romantic. probably about phones or weapons or like the planet xd vincent being the dark one needs someone light someone happy [I suggest yuffie or lucrecia : D] tifa being the worryful one needs someone carefree and strong [no doubt thats zack] This is exactly the kind of stupidity I'm talking about! So basically people say that their emo because of the simple fact that these characters are loners and that's just retarded!!!!

Whew, I'm going to write a lot about this, I just know it, lol. I already made a huge rant in the "Why bother for Cloud?" thread. They said he was Emo, and such. In which I said as follows:

Cloud claimes he cares so much about his friends-- that everything and everyone is important to him-- how does that make him Emo? He has his down points, but his friends always help him throught it. About him being Ugly--- that's not true, and that drawing proves nothing being it's a fanart. He was OKAY looking in FF7, and in AC and KH2 he was, I'm sorry, DEAD sexy. So there's my ranting!
I disagree about you on terms of Sasuke. I've always hated him, and I could rant about that too. I guess I kind of joke about him being Emo, because in a way, he's not Emo, he's just a common a**, lol.
My list:
1.Cloud(FFVII)
2.Roxas(KH)
3.Riku(KH)
4.Ken(Digimon)
5.EDWARD?!(FMA)
1-(I explained Cloud
2-Roxas is NOT Emo. He may seem Emo because he doesn't have a heart--- and he actually DOESN'T have one. Emo's just pretend they don't have one. Roxas doesn't wallow in the shadows loathing his exsistence, but he does question it. I would too if I was the SHADOW of my other half.
3-Now, people often confuse Riku of wanting darkness and belonging in darkness as EMO. Wrong. Riku's powers happen to be the best in darkness, he's used to accepting darkness into his heart, and later on accepting both light and darkness as one. (as well as the others). Sure, he DID feel sorry for himself, and he DID have guilt trips and jealousy--- but can you blame him? How many EMO kids have been torn away from their best friend because the island they lived on was corrupted by shadows? How many Emo's saw their best friend make new friends and seemingly forget them? HOW MANY EMOS had the ACTUAL darkside trying to corrupt them? NONE. Exaaactly.
4-KEN IS NOT FAWKNG EMO! He was very depressed because his bother SAM died, and because he freakin' killed and beat innocent creatures and finally realized what he was doing D: It was a long healing process, and finally everyone forgave him and he forgave himself. HE LEARNED to move on. He tried not to act pitiful to anyone but himself in hte privacy of his OWN room.
5-I don't even KNOW why people call Edward an Emo kid. He tried to recreate his Mom whom he loved dearly, and by doing so he made her into a monster. He's witnessed a lot of deaths right in front of his own eyes, and tons of his friends deaths just in general. ALL in ALL, he's still pretty strong, and you see him only move forward rather than taking time to pity himself and others.

Sasuke was ok until the time skip. Now his whole "I have to kill my brother" thing is getting really annoying. It's like just ******** kill him and get it over with. I mean god there’s more then one way to kill a person. He could poison his food or wait until he goes to sleep. I guess Sasuke just isn't clever enough to think of something like that. I would also like to find the person who first said that Roxas is emo and c**k slap the stupid out of them until they can finally see the light.

i think the whole topic is s**t...seriously...all the little emo kids are trying really hard to find an anime character that resmbles them..i think they should all just shut up with all this crap...and if it sound like in any of my post i'm coming off hatefullty strong towards emo kids..its cuz i am..i hate them all!

Gaara was depressed and rightfully so, anyone would be under those conditions. Emos are depressed for stupid reasons.

Finally, some common sense. :3 I'm tired of people picking out any depressed character and calling them emo. Roxas, emo? PEE-SHAW! He was perfectly happy and crap before he figured out his life was all a lie. People are just dumb... -__-
Tifa cannot be with Zack, because he is dead... I don't understand why people are saying she should be with him. o_0 Cloud cannot be with Aeris, she is also DEAD(AND I HATE HER! D: < ). So, CloudxTifa, and ZackxAeris. Duh. And I would imagine Yuffie being with Vincent... but, i'm not sure on that... >>

I can understand why people would pair her with Zack, but I just don't see it really happening. ^^;

I don't know much about Naruto, but I know that Sasuke reminds me of Emo a lot. :/ I hate Sasuke. I think that he's a fool, who's blind rage has made him spiteful and rude, especially to his own friends. He's such and 'pity me, Im an a*****e' type.
