As you know, on the front of this Guild are Emo's from the Emo Guild stating their opinion in their thread "Why Emos are hated". Well, I found some more responses that were absolutely ridiculous.
Them:Emo's are hated for one reason and one only..at least in my opinion. I think emos are hated because like always people fear what they do not understand. If they can't analyze something to fit into their world.. they fear it. When they fear it, they hate it, shun it, mock, you name it. If people people would even bother to understand the Emo lifestyle, culture, whatever it may be.. then they wouldn't be afraid and Emo's wouldn't be hated. It's the truth really. Like I said in the end people fear what they do not know.. and they hate what they fear.
Me:This is absolutely retarded. We're afraid of the different, they are saying. Obviously, we are mad at the thing that WAS different, and was now turned into a hoard of poseurs. Emo was very underground and rarely known about, until one day someone invented a way to make "Emo" known about. Someone created a SECONDARY trend. All of the Emos today, most of them fake. None of them know about TRUE Emo bands, and that TRUE Emos NEVER had hairstyles quite that exaggerated, and never had clothes quite so exaggerated either. Not one of them could name a TRUE Emo band, and it's sad that I can and they can't. I think THEY are the ones in fear... fear that what they have is indeed, fake.

I think there's two reason why they hate them. The first one being that when the whole emo term came around it blew up into this big trend. It's worldwide now. So many kids are going emo and people are getting mad. It was like before it became this huge trend people loved emos(at least in a sense), and with love there comes the hate. What if punks and goths were as big as the whole emo thing, then they would hate them too. In a way people are just looking for something to hate.
The second reason would they strongly confuse scene kids with emos. I don't like a lot of scene kids they're rude and mean.
Me:OKAY. Punks and Goths WERE bigger than the whole 'Emo' thing, because frankly, not even the band the Emo bands copied know the true definition of what Emo is. Punks and Goths were popular, but there were hardly any, and if their were poseurs, they were shunned. Making them original and different. There ARE still true goths and punks today. Emo is just.. fake. It wasn't popular, and now, it's hated because it's this huge parade of attention seeking poseurs striving to be different. They are saying WE just want someone to hate--- when it's obvious Emos want everything to hate. Obviously, people join this group so they can hate Goths,punks, and whatnot because people of that sub-culture call them fake-- WHICH THEY ARE. Emo, isn't really even considered a sub-culture, not like Goth and Punk.
And what the ******** hell are scene kids. I don't even know, or want to know. They seem like clones of Emo kids too.

I agree too. Especially about scene kids. They just come out of no where, you only see them at shows and never out in the public everyday life. They don't even like the metal bands I go to see (in California, here at Arizona too) and they just stand around smoking their cigarettes or holding their scene girlfriends. And how old are they? 14 years old! I mean, it's so rediculious. And when you are up in the front headbanging or got your foot up on the stage, or interacting with the band members (screaming etc.) they look at you like "What the hell you doin'?" It makes me angry because they don't like the music whatsoever and they don't mosh. They just stand around looking stupid with their hair placed in front of their eyes and their lip rings perfectly placed. Standing inthe back of the room staring at you like you are the one who don't belong. It pisses my older brother off too. 'Nuff said. xp

If punk and goth got big I'm sure that there would be hand fulls of posers. But there are true punks and goths unlike emo which the majority is posers.
If punk got really big the true punks would be able to weed out the posers. Same goes for the goths. But the emo trend is made up majorly of posers so the real ones are muffled.
And a scene kid is essentially an emo kid. There are small differences but the differences arent enough to mention. Basically a Scene kid is a dude that is into whatever the scene is. Like emo is the new big thing a scene kid would adapt to it to make himself popular or part of the crowd. He conforms to whatever style or trend is popular.

Well, there another reason as to why people dislike emos (This is my reason at least) . They try to fit into that they don't I have some greenday on my computer and the genre says punk, and they're so emo so I'm like wtf. And also, emos are starting to mock the raving. And they can't even dance. They're all like "Ooooh lookit me, I can do an eight figure." rolleyes
