I was wondering if people had a favorite time of day to meditate. Mine is in the morning, right after I wake up biggrin

Gah, I must admit I've been incredibly lazy in my meditations xD; It hasn't been a daily thing for me I'm afriad to say x: However when it starts to rain chances are I'll stop whatever I'm doing to meditate, there's nothing more peaceful to me than a rainy day x3

I've tried to meditate on days when I don't have to work, since I always arrive home exhausted, and on the rare days when I've gotten enough sleep the night before. Meditating is extremely difficult and frustrating for me because of my ADHD, so needless to say I rarely attempt it.
I've heard meditation helps to strengthen one's memory, which would be wonderful for me, since I have to write everything down (groceries, appointments, etc) otherwise it's forgotten almost as soon as the thought enters my head.
Ah, well. Nothing else to do but keep trying at it. gonk

★★★ I also meditate before going to bed. My routine of late has been a short yoga practice followed by the Vajrasattva Meditation Practice, then bed.★★★

before bed.
i find a thorough stretch routine, followed by some meditation is greatly beneficial to me in the mornings, considering i am not the morning type. i wake with a clear mind, feeling fully rested and alert, instead of dragging my feet the nights i do not

Well, personally, I meditate during nightfall. I've always wondered what it would be like during the day, or dawn, but I never tried. I like the night time because everything is quite, and peaceful most of the time.. Dark, beautiful.

I usually prefer to meditate one hour in the morning when I wake up and one hour before I go to bed. This helps awaken me, both inwardly and outwardly, and prepare me for the day ahead. At night, I like to wind down with a good cup of green tea and simply let myself go over the day's events as I decide if I was being compassionate in my actions. Self-reflection, I believe, is what you'd call my night meditations. I also mix my mantras at night and day, as well as throughout the day.

I'm afraid I also have been neglectful of my meditations, and have not meditated in several days, however, I like to do it either in the early morning or before sleep, usually the latter, because I find it's the when you're in between to planes of mind, and that helps me. Also, when it rains, which, being in Washington state, it does a lot, I may meditate several times a day...but I need to get back to that...

I enjoy meditating myself to sleep at night. It's a wonderful way to just relax away all the day's stresses and get into a state of total calm and openness.
