Jericho lounged beside the river, peering down at his reflection with the faintest of frowns. By himself, again. Here he was, a beautiful, awe-inspiring teen, and there was no one to share it with. Not too surprising, really. It wasn't shaping up to be a fantastic day. It was humid, the sky overcast with thick clouds that seemed to hold a promise of rain to come. But until then... it was just sort of sticky and gross out. Blech. Not exactly the best time to go wandering off looking for potential admirers.

Another teen not far at all down the river was taking a nap under a tree that cast a shadow from it's root into the water. Her healed tail was submerged and the feathers were lazily being taken by the toe of the water.

A fish had no sooner slid past her tail then the bright cyan markings on her eyelids were hidden and her bright eyes replaced them, about to tell off the cub in her dream that had touched her. Remembering where she was, Keely looked around for possibly something to do or someone to worship her.

An odd looking lion caught her eye. Though he looked familiar, he wasn't important enough for her remember a name. With a stretch the cream teen sat up and watched him with an unimpressed look on her face.

The movement caught Jericho's eye, and he gave the smallest of starts when he realized there was a lioness nearby. He grinned to himself. Now that was better. She didn't look particularly awe-inspired at the sight of him... but then, she was still at a distance. Maybe once she got a better look at him, that'd wipe that bored look clear off her face.

If not (unlikely though it was), well hey: it was only a matter of time before she was bound to realize just who she was dealing with. Right? Of course.

The lunar lion stood up gracefully as he was able (which even if he liked to think otherwise, wasn't really particularly graceful) before he made his way over towards her.

Wonderful. He's coming over to me. Looks like this is easier than I thought it'd be. Another addition to the worshiper at the Keely shrine.

As the male came closer, Keely looked him up and down while swaying her black and white tail back and forth. His markings were unique, but not that great. Clumsy.

Figuring she might as well introduce herself she opened her mouth and spoke, "Hello. I'm Keely Kayin." Her tone was regal and luke-warm.

"Keely Kayin, hm?" Jericho's tone, on the other hand, was friendly enough -- if just a little haughty. She was definately a unique lioness when it came to her markings, even if she was normal. That much left him feeling a little more confident. It was tougher to pull the special bit when all one saw were special folks.

She didn't seem jealous, another good sign. He'd been lucky on that front lately. "My name's Jericho. Nice to meetcha -- mind too much if I just call you Keely?" Less of a mouthful.

Keely nodded, giving Jericho premission on his request. Well at least this one's head isn't too far up in the clouds. Unlike Anastacia... Mentally scowling, while keeping her facial expression mildly aloof she thought of how much she despised the red, white and black lioness.

Shaking herself back to attention of the lion infront of her, she let go a small smile.

"Nice to meet you." I'm sure you're glad to meet me. She thought, but didn't say. This lion didn't seem too bad yet, he didn't yet deserve the full blast of her truth yet.

"Keely then." Jericho settled himself primly beside the lioness, tail curling in such a way to show off the magnificence of his oh-so-unique feather, flashing her a toothy smile. "The pleasure's all mine." More like all her's, really. But details, details.

He took a moment to groom one jewel-marked paw (wanted to look his best for a potential admirer) before speaking again. "So, Keely -- what pride are you from? Is it nearby?" No way would she have gone traveling too far on a day like this, right? It was awful! Ugh; if he'd known it was going to be like this, he definately wouldn't have gone out at all.

dla stops rolling around and sits while watching the blue lion chattering with the other lioness, his head tilts as he blinks..... he still hums to himself some strange 80's song as he just watches the two lions enteract with eachother

"Regretably I'm from the Savannah Sunset Pride. I've tried to get out of there, but it seems I cannot." Keely didn't give his single feather a second glance. She'd seen it before.

"What about you?" She asked as she got up and stretched out, her own tail feathers were still ruffled up from her encounter with... She-who-shall-only-be-named-with-a-grimace.

Her words were simple and unimpressed, he was a charmer alright. But not good enough for her, as usual. All lions fell short.

EDIT::

Keely heard the other lion(ess?) humming and she turned around to look. She saw the most interesting thing she'd ever seen. A gender confused lion? Who was... Humming? Her attention was promptly drawn from Jericho to this new attraction.

All of a sudden as if in continueing with the song, the rather strange looking lion begins to sing in perfect tone and beat with what he had been humming earlier "Come on ..... It's a nice day for a white wedding ... It's a nice day to start AGAAAAAIN!!!" and then returns to humming while dancing about happily with the beat of the song that seemingly was only playing for this very confuseing looking lion to hear.

Santos sat near the trio of lions watching with an amused look on his face. One was demonic, one he knew had an ego larger than his head, and the other was a lunar. The demonic one seemed to be enjoying himself greatly although in an odd way. He was surprised he could sit there for four or five minutes without being noticed.

"What? They won't let you leave?" Then again, she was a girl. They had a tougher time going from pride to pride, didn't they?

He tried not to frown at her generally unimpressed air. Not even the faintest glimmer of admiration! (Not that he'd really been getting a whole lot of that anyway.) Maybe she was just denying it? There was always that chance. If he just kept right on, she was bound to come around. "I'm from Dawn's First Light. It's a nice place." The lunar was honestly happy there. Happier than he'd ever really been back home. Not that he was about to go around blabbing that out loud. "There's some pretty impressive lions there, too. Angelics, sun-children, ghosts..."

He puffed out his chest a ways. "I'm real important there." Not really. Jericho hadn't even established a rank for himself yet. But he was bound to eventually, and he had every intention of doing his very best at it. So he wasn't really outright LYING. Right?

Jericho peered around at the dancing, singing lion, one ear quirking to a side. One of his brows arched upwards, a completely befuddled expression making its way onto the lunar's face. What in the -- who in the -- HUH??

The demonic lion continued to have a grand old time as he danced to the music of Billy Idol's 'white wedding' that only he himself could hear playing through the pride lands, as he was compleatly unaware of the other lions looking at him or eve watching him or even of their own existance as he enjoyed his time under the sun. Striking poses to the music and ocassionally fluttering in the air as he continued to do his little dance on the pride lands

Keely was listening to the Solar Lion, who honestly wasn't important enough to her to refer to by name, as she was watching the rather spectacular site.

"Alright, so Mr. Important. If you're so big and your pride's so diverse, then can you tell me what and who the hell that is?" She asked with her tail pointing to the demonic lion. As she turned her head to look at Jericho, hoping to see a befuzzled look, she saw another lion of white and black.

She wasn't sure how to greet him, they'd only sort of met once before. He saw what had happened when... Yeah. Might as well let him come to her.

Santos noticed the tan cub look at him and bowed his head to her as politely as he could considering she had looked down upon his son. He remembered clearly what had happened that day and he wasn't really fond of this cub. He would have taken a step closer if he hadn't been so interested in the demonic's akward dance.

"Uhhh... well... he's... " Jericho watched the strange lion flitting about, trying desperately to scrounge up some sort of answer for the young lioness beside him. Nothing. "Like I know, " he finally said in a huff, pulling himself back to his feet again. He'd seen ghosts, he'd seen lions that glowed -- but never something like that! "But I can go find out!"

So there. Ha. That ought to impress her! He strode towards DLA, casting a brief glance at the black and white lion sitting nearby. Normal. Someone else to impress. Two birds with one stone. The lunar allowed himself a brief grin, tail waving confidently in the air. Here was his chance to show what he was made of!

The fox tail that adored this lion continued to swish back and forth as he danced his happy jig, oblivious of the younger lion approching...... Once again as if apart of his song he started singing another part of the song, "Hey little sister what have you done? Hey little sister who's the only one.... I've been away for so long (so long) ..... I've been away for so long (so long) .... I let you go for so long" As he sings he bounces around, compleatly getting his groove on in his happy little world of his own.

"My heeero!" Keely mocked her 'hero' as if she were some damsel in distress. Yes, she was being attacked from afar by the harmless dancing and singing lion...

Shaking her head, she sighed and figured she might as well follow him. He would probably do something to embarrase himself or insult the lion. The first one she wanted front row tickets for, the second would be intertaining to see him back pedal, again, she wanted front row.

Santos stood and watched as the two cubs walked towards the demonic. They're going to do something stupid... He thought to himself. He would normally have stopped any cub from doing something that might not have a good outcome, but as said before, he did not like the tan cub. Insted he just watched as they approched the older lion, his expression still of amusement.

Jericho did his best not to growl as he walked. She was making fun of him! She was totally making fun of him! Ugh! What was it with girls and poking fun at him lately?! He wasn't supposed to be the butt of some joke! Awe-inspiring, yes, daring, yes, but definately not that!

He peered back over his shoulder; sure enough, there she was, following right along behind him. (Was it just him, or was that other lion smirking too? Double ugh!) Fine. She wanted to play the hero bit? "Why don't you go cower under a bush where it's safe, princess?, " he said, voice sugary-sweet as could be.

With that said, the lunar cub turned his attention back to the fox-tailed lion. Didn't look like he'd even noticed any of them. Which wasn't quite so surprising for the other two, but Jericho himself was another story entirely. Oh well. That could be fixed quickly enough. He cleared his throat, straightening his poise before calling, "Hey, you! Who are you?"

Keely stopped dead in her tracks as she was called 'princess'. She would have pounced on him right then if there wasn't something better about to happen. She did lay down, but only in earshot of the twos interaction.

Much to the lunar cub's dismay the older lion said nothing only continued to dance different then before as very openly he stated in more of a statement type of a voice and less of a singing voice "You remind me of the babe" he pauses, and then as if answering "babe with the power...." ...... "power of voodoo" ....... "you do" ... "remind me of the babe" And then he begins dancing an intresting dance that almost seems goblin-inspired as his wings flutter and flicker happily about as his head bounces about.... his eyes still sealed as he is compleatly entranced in his own little world.

Though, at the lunar cub's closeness it can now be seen that running between this lion's pant pocket and his ears is a thin white cable of some form or another that is attached to something in his pocket and leads up to his ears..... and a very quiet musical humming sound can be heard comming from the black-bulb like endings of this white thing that is placed within his ears.

Jericho dared a peek behind him, smirking to himself. Ha -- looked like he'd shown her! Not exactly the awe he was looking for or anything, but it definately beat mocking him.

The smirk didn't stay in place for long, quickly replaced by an agitated little scowl. First he was made fun of, then he was ignored? Oh come on. What did a cub have to do to get a respect he deserved around here? "HEY!, " he said, louder this time. "HELLO?! I'm talking to you! HEY! HEEEEELLO~?!"

It took him a good few moments to finally notice the strange contraption running from the lion's pants to his ears. Jericho stopped hollering for a minute, peering curiously at the odd, skinny strand. Now that he thought about it... he could sort of hear some noise, too. Maybe if he...?

Without a second thought, the cub lunged forward. In one swift movement, he grabbed the chord between his teeth and gave it a swift tug. 'There. Hope I'm right!'

Still dancing and singing "What kind of magic spell to use? Slime and snails? Or puppy dogs' tails? Thunder or lightning?" and then without a single pause he pointed straight at the nearby lion as he sang "And then baby said!" But realizing that there was no more music the lion blinked, adjusted his Romani sunglasses and sat back on his haunches, then noticed the end of his iPod's cable within the cub's maw"Excuse me!" he squealed in an angry voice as he swatted the cable out of the cubs maw. "That is not yours!" he grumbled while fishing the white, rectangle looking device out of his pocket and while he fumbles with putting the cable back into the devise he mutters, "whaddya want runt?"

There it was. That stupid move Santos had been waiting for. He took a few steps closer and stopped next to the female. He would protect these two if he had to. Not because he liked them, but because it was the right thing to do.

His expression finally changed into one of curiosity, waiting for the next move. He glanced sideways at the female for a second then looked over the demonic. He hadn't noticed before, but this lion was dressed oddly, like that one lioness who had liked him before he found Adia.

He watched the demonic snatch a cord back and tensed up. One day I'm gunna get myself killed because I try to protect everyone..

Keely was on her back, rolling around from laughing so hard. She hadn't noticed the contraption for it was small and she was a little too far away. But the scene was hilarious none the less. That oughta be a damper to his ego...

But when he jumped on the lion, she turned back up on her paws to watch any reaction while whiping a tear of laughter from the corner of her eye. When Jericho was called a runt, she laughed even harder and fell back onto her back.

Jericho was practically bristling as the strange lion snatched the wire back away, Keely's laughter echoing in the background. This was ridiculous! "I wouldn't have had to touch your stupid noisy gadget if you hadn't been off prancing around in la-la land! What does a guy have to do to get your attention, huh?" Yeesh! This really wasn't turning out to be his day. Maybe nobody knew how to properly treat a lion of his calibur? That had to be it. There was no other explanation. (Jealousy aside.)

As the demonic went on, he couldn't help growling indignantly. "My name is Jericho -- and I'm no runt!" Did he even have any clue who it was he was talking to? UGH. "I came to ask just who the heck you were and what your deal was. Or tried to." He huffed, narrowing his eyes a ways. "I've seen plenty of weird stuff, but you take the cake."

Dla's bottom jaw dropped as his maw hanged open as he blinked at the audacity of this cub. "I beg your pardon!" the lion growled with a very feminant tone on his voice as he gave the lion the most gayest glare that anyone could ever imagin in the world. "You truly should learn how to respect your elders little man.... Where is your father, I must speak to him RIGHT NOW!" the spaztic lion stated while standing up and heading over to the white and black lion. "Excuse me, but are you the lion in chage of that .... that.. runt over there?" he stated in an overly dramatic type of a way.

Santos slapped a paw to his head. "Not really, do what ever you want with him," He motioned towards the lunar who called himself Jericho. "In fact you can do whatever you want to that one too," he laughed jerking his head towards the tan cub. He didn't truely think this lion would harm the cubs, would he? "Just don't hurt them too badly," He said with a grin.

Keely opened her eyes to see the demonic and pissed off lion standing almost right over her. Whiping another tear away this time with one of her black and white feathers. She sat up and looked up at him.

"Excuse me... You're my hero. Way to put that runt in his place."

"I don't have to respect any weirdo who goes prancing around like some doofy kitten! You're the one that needs to learn some respect!" Jericho sat down, tail lashing furiously from side to side.

A trickle of amusement crept onto the kit's features as the strange lion went storming off to the black and white male, but the annoyance came rushing on back at the mention of 'runt'. "I told you, I'm not a runt! Get it through your thick skull, you weirdo!" He growled, giving a distinct 'HMPH' as he turned his nose upwards. "I haven't got a clue who that guy is, but he's definately not my dad. He's not anywhere near here, and you're not about to find him, so don't even bother looking!"

He whirled to Keely, growling fierce as a cub was able. "You're one to talk, princess! If anyone here's runty, it's you!"

"moi?" the lion asks while blinking to the lioness, "I do not see how that could be Mon Chere, but umm you're welcome?" he purrs in confusion while not even fully paying attention to her, "Soo you say you're not his charge? shesh.... Such a bratt...." he mumphs while looking back to jericho while sitting down next to santos. "What's his beef then?" he asks while quarking an eyebrow. Then upon hearing jericho's words again, he rolls his eyes and then with even more of a gayish glare the lion states "Young man, you are sooo not going to get any points by being a poopie head."

The lioness gave a small growl. Her feather flicked slightly as she came across the lands. Her blood red pelt shone in the light, her flakes waving as her ears flicked. Soon, the scents of different lions went through her nostrils. A low growl erupted from her throat as she came near to the group. One cub in particular stood out. This time, the lioness growled louder.

With a small smile, the lion popped out the ear buds and tucked them away in his pocket, then with a grin he stated, "Anyways, its healthy to sing and dance and have fun..." he stated with a nod. "So theres nothing wrong with that at all! and if you don't believe that singing and dancing is enjoyable then you're the 'weirdo' you little runt." he stated with a nod.....

Keely got defensive. She got up and stood between the new lion and Jericho. Since it was in her best interest at this time, she arched her back and started growling.

"I'm not runty! And he's not a wierdo!! You are!" She said starting to advance on him

Santos laughed harder. "I'm afraid he was just showing off for his girlfriend he said pointing to the tan cub. When he heard a female growl he looked up and noticed the red lioness from before. When she growled louder he tensed up and stood above the tan one. She hadn't been causing any trouble so there was no reason for her to get hurt. "She didn't do anything," he said looking over the red lioness.

"Not yet..." Her tail flicked as she came beside Santos. Her tail curled around her feet as she sat down upon her haunches. Her eyes never left Keely. She huffed slightly as her tongue ran over her nose. Her black paw slightly tensed as if her claws needed to be released.

"Il est un tel gosse est lui pas?" The Lion asked as he blinked and shook his head then yawned out of boredom and pawed at the ground.

"Don't touch her, lioness," He let a deep growl escape his throat and tensed his muscles up a bit. "She didn't do anything, nor will she do anthing," he said with a glare underneath him at the cub to let her know she would not be causing any trouble. In his eyes read the message that if she did start anything he would no longer try to protect her. He made that as clear as possible, letting another growl rumble through the air.

Keely froze when she realized the she was called Jeri's girlfriend. She turned around, with confusion plastered across her face. Like she'd ever... Never! But when she did turn, that's when she saw her. The lioness... With a glare she layed down on her stomach and didn't move.

"This isn't over.." She mumbled lowly. Was she speaking to Ana or Jeri? Both.

If this had been one of those Looney Tunes cartoons? You can bet steam would've been pouring right out of the lunar's pointed ears. Jericho was bristling, growling, arching, every bit the violently angry cub. It took every bit of his willpower to keep from lunging right at them and showing them just what a 'weird runt' could do. No way. Not again. He wasn't about to take that here!

The girlfriend crack didn't help him any. Her?! No way! Never in a million years! Some arrogant, runty little -- nonoNO!

The appearence of the new lioness, now there was welcome change of pace for the young lunar. An impressive sight, even he had to admit. Not as impressive as he was or anything (nothing could quite reach that level), but still enough to keep Jericho in tow for the time being. From the looks of it, the three of them shared some sort of history, too. "'Nothing' my foot... " he mumbled to himself. Far as he was concerned, she'd done plenty already!

Jericho couldn't help but take some satisfaction from seeing Keely fall to her belly. Was she scared or something? Heh. Serve her right.

One pointed ear quivered as Keely got in her two cents worth. "You can bet it's not, princess... " he growled, just as low as she had.

Being the same age as the cub, Keely thought that she shouldn't have that much of a problem with her jumping at him. Right? Better not take the chance, yet...

Whilst this was going on in her head, Keely was glaring at the other cub infront of her with rage in her eyes. No other lion had gotten this much emotion out of her for just saying words. Not really concentrating on this yet, she was snarling at him under her breath.

"Runt.." She whispered.

The lioness chuckled slowly, her tail flicking. "I do not pick, nor hurt on others without good reason. Atleast I was raised the right way..." Her tail curled slightly as her flakes moved. Looking over at the others, she noted two males she had never seen before. Anastacia looked back over at Santos. "But, at your command, I will not hurt her. I swear it." Taking her black paw, she unsheathed her claws and lightly scratched over her chest. "Cross my heart.". As she placed her paw down, Anastacia did not know that this would be her undoing in the future...

Santos put his black and white tailfeathers infront of Keely to block her veiw of Jericho. Maybe then she would calm down, or at least not get angered more. Then he glared at the blood red lioness. "See to it that you don't," he said with his head raised high. Maybe I should just stay near my pride from now on.. he thought to himself with a sigh.

Jericho glared right back, blue eyes narrowed into slits. His claws dug into the earth before, muscles tense and fur bristling. His father's words rang in the back of his mind, warning him; it was pointless to get angry with other lions, especially lions like that. Better just to ignore them and move on. (Lot of good that approach had done him so far.) But with her sitting there, saying those things right to his face --

Santos' feathers between them had a way of disrupting the glaring spell. Jericho seemingly turned his attention to Santos -- but anyone who looked carefully enough could see him peering at the older lion's tailfeathers out of the corner of his eye. Just in case. "Thanks. I was getting tired of having to look at that jealous little runt of a princess." His voice grew just a touch louder at that last bit, insuring every word could be heard nice and clear.

Feeling Quite annoyed at the audacity of this mere cub, Angel really started to get annoyed. "Look, Cub.... I don't care Who you think you are, but this crap has got to stop. You are now becomming nothing more then a snot nosed, winey, snivvling bratt and that is SO not cool." he stated in that 'as a matter of fact' type of voice that very much ment that this lion that up till now seemed to have never shown to have a serious streak in his body at all.. ever. Glaring at the blue lion over the top of his sunglasses the tissue about his scar twitched as he continued, "I'm serious, Who do you belong to around here? Someone must take responcibliity for you on these lands? They need to know about your rude and unbecomming behaviour and above that, of how you dare treat lionesses..... True they are females, but dude.... they deserve far more respect then you seem to even be able to even fathom in the deepest recesses of your brainpan man...." The lion stated as one of his fox-like ears twitches out of annoyance.

Keely looked up to Santos as he put his tailfeathers between them. Not the wisest decision. She was about to open her mouth, but she was stopped by Jericho's words. How dare he insult her! The raggid looking dark blue with little triangles attempt to insult her beauty!

She was getting more angry by the second. Good thing the feathers were seperating them. She was so frusterated, she didn't realize the newest lion was speaking until he got into the meat of his convorsation.

Her mood was lightened up almost immediatly and she started giggling.
