Jenna moved into the field of open space, long blades of thin grass brushing up against her crisp pelt. She was a tiny framed wolf, long slender legs with a small yet lean breast and torso, and a smooth face, equally small yet not abnormally. She wasn't like the others, and lacked in a lot of the muscle they held, yet could take on any full-blooded wolf that came crossing her path--if she was forced to of course.
Three days had already passed since she first entered the woods and met Hallie--the cutest little thing she'd ever seen. Hallie was her welcome wagon, and greatly appreciated the young pups willingness to become her friend, even after the rough first encounter. A smile parted her ebony lips as a moth the size of a monarch butterfly whizzed by, fluttering just before her muzzle. She watched it spin on, an awkward dance it preformed through mid air as it gradually made an attempt to land on the nearest plant for rest. Fanned and swaying, her tail began to take motion after the sight, her feet still moving at a slow, patient pace. She was in no rush to get anywhere any time soon.
A herd of deer lurked far off to the left and had long since taken note of her arrival. They edged about their food, yet didn't bother scattering--they seemed too hungry to do so and unless she became a threat, they wouldn't bother with it. She eyeballed the lot, tongue making a slow round about her muzzle, before shaking her head. She wasn't in the mood for food at the moment; all she wanted to do was take a spot under the single tree in the entire open pasture. Its bulky trunk was a very dark, rich brown and stood out against the pale and soft colored grass and its canopy of leaves stretched over twice the space it held, reaching out, and then drooping towards the earth like a Curtin of green. She approached, happily plopping her form beside the base of the tree's trunk and breathed heavily. That herd would look mighty tasty in a few hours, if they stuck around that long, but for now she would rest. It had been a long trip.
She deserved some time to think.

*Blue orbs gazed out, fixing upon the open lands before them with a slight grace. Weeks had passed and this male was ready to face the world. He looked youthful, and bore no scars or markings to indicate violence. His coat was a mix of black and red, laced with yellow markings. The tip of his tail was also dipped in a fading yellow, his coat was bright just as his personality once was. Maybe now wasn’t the best time for him, maybe fate had other things in store for him- or so this is what the male wished for.
His life up to this point had been very uneventful and even less fulfilling, having lost most things he held close to him, again and again. Running with no pack helped him stay away from others, making himself safe from the possibility of being harmed. He was once very brave, strong and kind, but now he seemed broken. Lost even, submissive to all of his fears. This was not what the male wanted, but then again what did he want?
Padding himself into the open pasture the red coated male stood still and eyed along the many deer that passed his view. He did not run after the game, he had no want to. His insides felt fine, they did not tell him to eat, and even if they had right now he felt too tired to go after such a pray. Twitching ears flicked backwards as he moved himself closer to a near by tree. This tree seemed to be the only tree within his Pasture, but that didn’t bother him much. Moving himself closer the male thought about how nice the shade would feel against his coat, but before he could press forward his eyes fixed upon the form of another.
A female wolf. Softly the male moved closer; his head inching closer to the ground. He had grown to understand females better then males, due to his lack of male friendships. He would show no signs of fear and would approach her with care. He did not want another female to attack him, no, not again. With a soft tone the male spoke out, his ears perked.*
"...May I keep you company, under this tree?"
*Like a puppy would the male eyed her down; his light gaze hypnotizing. With wide eyes he held himself in his place and kept himself low, to show a bit of respect. He after all, was good in heart, even if unwell in the head. His back muscles contracted as he pushed himself up, moving to stand still. In a way he was glad to see another, but then again he now was put into another situation that could very well end up with him being let down. In all truths he wanted nothing more then rest, his body felt very tired. Eyeing at her the male took his time in looking her up and down, as if to take in this new female and her being.
She was lovely, and her coat was a red tone much like his own, mixed with a softer creamy-gray color. What took him back the most though were her eyes. Amber eyes, like a soft blaze.. she seemed so content, and her beauty took him back. Around her next lay a colored cloth of sorts, something he had never seen before. It only made him think of her more, even if he had just run into her, and didn’t even have her name, something about those eyes kept him still. He would await her reply, not wanting to intrude on her.

Jenna had already turned her vision towards the approaching male, his scent drifting ever so slightly. The winds were light and barely managed to ruffle her scarf, yet still her fur moved with the motion of passing air. Her body shifted the weight, subconsciously wanting to stay in her lying position, however physically moving to stand. This was the second wolf she'd set eyes upon in these woods, and was the most colorful so far.
Brown eyes, dull in color yet filled with a lively, friendly disposition, watched him carefully--he was no threat, proved none and held his head low. She suspected he simply wanted to talk or just lounge in the shade she also took shelter in at the moment. In her mind she desperately tried to fight the feelings of emotion, the bubbling sensation of a ‘crush’ that seemed to tickle her fancy. He was alluring in pelt, and because Jenna knew little wolves, she never knew really thought of the personality when it came down to this. It could be considered shallow, but she had no idea that some handsome wolves can be devilish. He spoke, and she listened, though she wasn't sure he was speaking or just murmuring to himself, either way she smiled and began to wag her tail gently.
'Oh, please do. I'd be delighted to have some company.' a smooth voice came out from her throat, harks swirling in his direction and keeping there. All attention aimed towards the new male, and inwardly, Jenna was excited to be in his presence.

*With a soft smile the red colored male tilted his head to the side, before moving in. His front paws laced in black softly graced the ground as he moved. He was light on his paws, also something that he had picked from his puppy-hood. With a light gaze over the female wolf the male stood before her, about five feet from her. Something about her and this moment made him feel weak. Why did she have to be so kind to him? His black ears played backwards as he slowly moved himself to lie in front of her; his front paws laced along one another. His body pushed forward as he lay upon his stomach; softly taking in air as he moved into a more comfortable stance.
He pulled his sight up, along with his head eyeing her down again. His pale blue eyes could chill to the bone, yet they seemed soft, longing almost. After settling himself down he spoke once more, but this time in a full tone, a bit stronger then before.*
"Thank you. May I ask your name?"
*Blinking once or twice the male lay, a bit puzzled. He would have hated for her to think of him as being rude, so he quickly added.*
"I'm Tristan."

Jenna watched as the elegant male moved towards her, then lowered himself to the earth, only a few feet from her own standing position. She had figured he would move towards the back side of the tree, or something along those lines so that he could be alone, but it wasn't the case, and honestly she was flustered with his eyes on her, scanning and looking, though all the while very happy.
Just as Tristan had been mesmerized by her own features, she was of his. His pelt was very charming, she liked the blends of it and saw it very alluring; however his own eyes, blue as the water's, were the objects of her attention. She glanced towards them, however no matter how soft they appeared to be she couldn't keep her gaze on them, the intensity of the ice-blue still overbearing through the caring glaze. They were bright as well, the black about his eyes only allowing the colors to accentuate. She felt her cheeks grow hot, and uncomfortably she shifted her weight. Her body became very feeble, though she knew she aught to fight the feelings she was beginning to lose control of and buckled at the most before she was forced to fall to her belly like the male. His words struck her only moments after he finished them off, her mind lingering on mainly one, confusing thing.
'My name...is Jenna.' her eyes lowered to the soil, paws beginning a slow and casual stroke of the dark dirt below the pads. Tristan was a very nice name, and to Jenna, sounded very strong and powerful--she wondered why he was being so kind.
'Tristan, it's very nice to meet you. T-that's a very nice name--It suites you.' She paused, before realizing this could be taken in a multitude amount of ways. ‘Ah, I mean that in a good way…’ her face became flustered and her eyes shut for a moment, a sigh escaping her slender muzzle.

*Perking his ears upward the male smiled and nodded as she spoke her name. Jenna, Jenna, Jenna… what a lovely name. Tristan, his name was given to him by his first love, an older female wolf that saved his life when growing up. Yes, he was a pup at the time, but he felt love from her like no other. Never in his years had anyone after her cared for him like she did and inside the male felt awful, knowing that no other female would want to. He was simply unequipped, that’s what he felt. No one would have him.
Soft batting could be heard as his yellow tipped tail wiggled back and forth lightly; his top half covered in shade. He eyed her again, trying his best to find reason to get up and leave, but nothing, nothing on her told him to go. Maybe he was just being fickle... maybe. Whatever this was the male felt safe around her, safe.*
"My name does fit me; the meaning behind it does also. Tristan, meaning to be sad."
*The males tone was very upsetting, not because of her- no, but because of his fear of ending up alone. He had been high and low and still he found no one to share his stories with. Snapping back the male tilted his head to the side and smiled again, doing his best to at least seem alright.*
"You are very lovely, Jenna- And your name is too.."
*Okay, so he was a bit fickle, but what he spoke, every word of it was truth. He felt relaxed enough to say it too that was a first. With a soft pant the male moved himself under the shade, wiggling over to her slowly. His body hit just in front of Jenna's paws; resting in front of her he lay; his back side facing her view... He stayed still for a while, not speaking a word. He had stepped over the line when he told her how he felt, and in a way he was trying to play it off. Maybe if he acted asleep she would walk away-- maybe.*

The she-wolf was puzzled. She hadn't, ever, felt this way--the way she did right now. Or at least she couldn't remember ever feeling this, just like she couldn't remember her first steps or her first meal. It was blurred from her mental vision, though she didn't care much for it. Because she lacked those childhood memories, she didn't have an attachment to them and so, felt little need to whine over her loss. She couldn't regain them if she tried, so what was the point of that.
Listening to the male brought her a slight tremor. He seemed so tormented at the moment, as if nothing in the world looked proudly to him--or something along those lines. She couldn't express the way she felt at the moment exactly, being that she didn't know what she was feeling, however she could say this much; Tristan was in a slump. 'Oh--But Tristan is such a lovely name, I didn't even think of sadness upon saying it. See, I've got a smile on my face just saying it--Tristan, Tristan, Tristan.' Her lips indeed had parted and a small crease towards the ends lifted in a smirk. Tristan meaning to be sad didn't seem accurate, though she took his word. It was a handsome name rather, and she liked the sound of it. Rolling it once more through her head, she thumped her tail on the ground as he prepared to speak once again, however hadn't prepared for his words at all.
The thought of flirting came to mind, a basic concept of two people interacting in a suggestive way--and boy were they suggesting. Jenna shifted her weight once more, only a tad bit uncomfortable with the situation, though not because of Tristan, but because she had no idea of what she would do. She wasn't sure if there was true feelings she could share with him, though she managed to muster up something. 'And--you have pretty eyes Tristan.' Her maw shut after that, and sustained this closed manner for a while as he began to move, running his mass against her paws, then settling. What was going on? She was so new to this, experiencing this feeling and only having met the fellow just moments before. Her heart began to beat quicker, ears heating up and paws shuffling. If she could sweat, she would be right now--her entire body unable to comprehend what Tristan was doing, and what she should do in return.
In result of this, her ears shot back and flattened against her skull, giving her head an even smother appearance and her eyes fluttered to the earth, where she could manage to see the color of his paws. He made her spacey, and yet entirely happy. This new feeling was exciting and no matter how much she wanted to resist, now matter how freaked she was at the moment, she so badly wanted it. Her throat cleared, quite loudly, and subconsciously her neck began to crane towards him, his form rather close now, running into the fur of his chest. A moist, black nose stayed put for a moment, a long breath being taken by the female. Maybe this would seem like she was marking his scent down--yeah that could work. Her nose whiffed once again, for the last time, before she brought her head back and lowered it towards her paws.
'Tristan...w-what are we doing....' She hadn't noticed that he'd grown rather quiet, and instead was too into what she was doing previous. His silence only made her more uneasy, and in a moment she was on rump, propped against the tree and falling silent herself. What was she doing...

*Softly the male’s eyes closed, the soft pressure he felt from Jenna’s touch made his tail curve under him back-side. His crystal clear eyes slowly reopened as the female spoke to him. What was he doing? What were they doing? Everything here seemed to be so... out of place. He had before him a lovely female wolf, and here he was making all kinds of moves on her, without thought. What was he thinking? - Oh yes… he wasn’t.
With a soft moan the male pulled himself over; his paws lacing along one another still as he shifted himself to face her. His body pushed right up this time, and his tail stayed in its place. What should he say to her? He was being all kinds of needy, and he knew it too. The male didn’t want to be this way, but he also did not want her to leave. Slowly he moved himself up; his paws fell back to the earth as he slowly moved himself to stand; his body low and arching before hers.
The black bags around his eye only made his wide gaze even more unsettling. Chilling, cold, still... his eyes would stay pinned upon her, as if he was trying his best to see what it is that she wanted. The male had not been close to female for quite a while, two years to be truthful, but he could see the excitement in her. Did she want him to make another move? Pulling his head up slowly the male stood tall; his chest slightly puffing out.*
"I-I don’t know..."
*He spoke, in reply to her question before. What was he to go? A few things came to mind, but he didn’t want to take advantage of her, he liked her more then that. He wouldn’t stay just for physical contact, even if that was what the female was aiming for, and inside he was too... He wouldn’t hurt her. With a soft sigh the male moved his body closer to her own; his neck brushing along hers as he used his head to softly run along her skull; gracing her ears and neckline as he did so. He was nuzzling her- A sign off affection, or at least he thought it was. Slowly his snout moved back, lightly grazing along her neck and nose as he pulled himself back, standing before her.
Tristan stopped his actions and stood still, his nose softly prodding at hers. His ears moved down slowly, and his neck pushed back a bit. What on earth, he was so awkward.*

Jenna watched him, baffled on what exactly he was aiming for. She knew that she wanted to touch, but she didn't want anything more--not yet. The lost feeling of contact seemed so overbearing, it felt like eating for the first time and all she wanted to do was indulge in it.
Lowering her gaze to his chest, she released a soft whine after his moan, and as he pulled himself up, she moved her own form onto a seated position. She didn't want to hurt Tristan, him being the broken hearted soul he was, and so she didn't want to press on with her movements that was one think she knew and understood. She didn't know what she felt at the moment, and couldn't understand why she felt it. But--oh how good the touching felt, and as his neck brushed hers, and then pulled back a bit to prod her ebony nose, she winced in pleasure, tail twitching.
Slowly, she pulled back, head tilting to the left-off towards where the herd was. Why was this so hard to do, it felt so new to her, so foreign but she was so intrigued in it, and wanted to know what would happen next-how could she pull this into another situation. Shaking her head and lowering her gaze, she sighed. 'Tristan...I don't know if I'm--if I understand. I--I like you, more then I like friends but...' That was it, she figured it out. 'I just need to slow this down.'
Her heart quickened again, the rush of worry that came over her was odd, and yet she understood why. She didn't want Tristan to take that as rejection. 'I--I want to get to know you better....so....that if I do feel, that way then I know why...' her ears flattened, gaze finally meeting his in a half saddened effect. She was being honest, all she wanted was to understand what he wanted, and to do that she only knew one way--to become friends first. She felt it deep in her gut that they'd become more, someday, but for now she needed him as a close friend--friend with benefits. She liked him, this was for certain, and truly believed she deserved to gain his liking in return. 'I'm just confused. I don't know what to do next, and-we just met...and....' her throat began to catch, eyes lowering in shame. She was whining, and it wasn't because of no reason.
Lifting onto her feet, she approached the male; head ducked, and pressed her cranium against his chest before stroking it up towards his chin. She knew he was sad, and wanted to make him happy--maybe that was why she liked him so much. She wanted Tristan to know he was...liked.

*Taken back by her movements Tristan simply stood, idle for moments. She spoke the truth, and inside he understood her fully. Standing still the red male took his time in enjoying this attention he as receiving. This was just lovely, having someone so close, even if he was a friend; she showed him a bit of affection, affection that he so badly needed. His eyes closed slowly, as he smiled. Her sent was something else all together, pure and sweet to his smell. He could get use to her being around him, that was a given.
"I understand. I do, Jenna..."
With a soft sigh the lean male moved himself back and eyed at her widely; his paws pushing himself back some, giving them both room to breathe. His expression changed slowly, from one of sorrow to another, with a more kind feeling to it. He was smiling at her, panting a bit. He felt full of life now; energy ran through his blood like a drug, pushing at his heart to beat faster. His body trembled slightly, due to all of the feeling that swelled up within him, but he felt no regret.
With a soft bark the male wagged his tail and taped the ground with his paws, as if to show her that everything she said he was alright with. He would spend time with her that is what he would do. He wanted to get to know Jenna, and maybe if he was lucky keep her. Excitement hit him hard and with a playful nudge the male moved himself around her once, prancing in a circle. This was indeed a change from before; he seemed so much more alive. With a soft tone he added words to his dance like motions.*
"Let’s take this slow then."
As he spoke his body slowed and he moved to her side and eyed out at the lands before them, his deep gaze fading as he let a soft smile pass his muzzle. His coat slightly brushed against her own as he stood beside her, though keeping his distance he did his best to stay still, not wanting her to think that he was making another move on her he moved himself away, so that they didn’t touch, but simply stood beside one another.*
"I want to get to know you, Jenna."

Jenna moaned. Ok, so this wasn't exactly what she wanted--she wanted to be against him and show affection as they had, yet--oh, she was just confused. Quietly, she smiled and listened to his words, watching him move around her in a humble jig before settling in beside her. Eyes trailed the land, ears flicking back against her skull. She was glad he wanted to do what she did, even if it made him feel restricted--she liked knowing that he was willing to wait.
Turning her gaze to Tristan, she smile, nudging the side of his head before taking light steps into the open pasture, attention flicking to and fro. She had a lot of questions, and maybe they could settle into their friendship with inquiries. 'Tristan, where do you live? Currently?'

*Cocking his head to the side the red coated make eyed her slightly and thought to himself …home, what was a home to him anyway? He had never really had a home, not a real one. Blinking the male replayed.*
"I live... well, I don’t really live anywhere. I move around a lot. No real home, here say."
*He nodded slowly and followed behind her slowly, eyeing her backside. Her fur looked so soft. Wrinkling his nose the male moved himself past her and smirked. The cloth around her neck was so tempting, he wanted to n** and tug at it.*
"What about yourself?"
*He asked with a slight wag to his tail. His fore paws moved up and down as he stood, kicking at the earth below him. With a soft n** he moved down to get at an itch between his paws, nipping softly. Pulling his head back up the male turned to her and spoke, his tone seeming better as they two moved on in conversation.*
"Do you have a pack, a home... a mate?"
*Not that he was looking to have a mate- no, but information was good to have. Yes, that was it- information that is.*

Jenna pursed her lips and wrinkled her own nose as he spoke. She didn't find Tristan a pathetic soul, but a sad, torn one and because of this only wanted to make him even happier. Shaking the fur on her head, she replied softly. 'Oh...Well, I travel too. I just arrived to these woods actually, so it’s all a bit--new.' her tail swung with purpose, it was exciting to me in a new place, with new friends.
Eyes boggled as the male passed her, his voice an obvious sign that he was quite comfortable with this subject. 'So, I have no home, no pack and...not mate.' Mate--what a word. It meant so much, love, passion, devotion. She wished she had a mate, but knew deeply how afraid she'd feel of hurting her consort, and so pushed the thought aside. 'Yeah, I don't really have to much, but it’s ok. I learn to move on, this forest seems very nice though--might stay here a while.' she eyeballed Tristan, ears flicking back. She had more then one reason to stay now.

"I spend most of my time within wooded areas, forests, and such. I feel safer, being able to keep safe within a closed area."
*The male smiled eyeing around. Cocking a brow he laughed to himself and added.*
"When I first came to this place, I fell off of a cliff and into a river. The river took me here, and here I have been, moving from time to time."
*Opening up to her a bit more the male nodded to himself and thought of back when he first arrived. On that day he had been attacked and had found his best friend. Though later she would have harmed him, he still wished her well. Tilting his head to the side, much like a puppy would he eyed her and spoke.*
"I think you have a lot. You are alive, free to go where you please- to me, that’s a prize all of it’s own."
*The male spoke, his words truthful to himself. He saw her in a way she couldn’t, but he assumed that it was the same for everyone else.*
