*gasp* Sorry! gonk I didn't mean to say that! cry Please don't burn me at the stake! crying
Because I already have a burning-at-the-stake appointment with the Mormons! 4laugh
Just kidding...
Please forgive the randomness. I just got done reading all the stick figure webcomics. sweatdrop
Anyway, the purpose of this thread is to provide a small discussion area for the writers in this guild.
I'm talking about those who compose poetry and prose.
I am a poet myself, and I was just wondering if any of you fine spellers (and probably writers, too) would like to look at some of my poetry.
Pweease! Here's the link to my deviantART account: Singularity-of-Verse
Oh yes, and the other purpose of this thread was to prove that Flink.Pamingo's gift of a shoe did indeed inspire me to become more active in this guild! whee

Sun is a writer! 8D
A writer in the sense that he could probably write something if he wasn't so lazy. Can you be a writer and not write things? o_O Sun likes those few of your poems he looked at. I liked the morning one the best.

Clockwork Sun Sun is a writer! 8D
A writer in the sense that he could probably write something if he wasn't so lazy. Can you be a writer and not write things? o_O Sun likes those few of your poems he looked at. I liked the morning one the best. Of course you can be a writer and not write things! All you really have to do to become a "writer" is write one thing and then claim you have writer's block the rest of your life! 4laugh If you didn't notice, most of the poems I have up on my deviantART account are at least a year old... I also have been too lazy (or too busy... sweatdrop ) to write as of late.
And thank you for your input. mrgreen It is highly prized. *strokes input ninja *

If you scroll down on the page the click takes you to you should find the poem (which might be referred to as a "deviation").
I know - I'm so technologically talented.
*accidentally pushes wrong button on keyboard*
*dialog box pops up that she's never seen before*
*clicks wrong thingamajigger*
*computer freezes*

Rose McCann I writeses. =3 I have a fictionpress account, but I'm too kind to inflict any of my poetry on you. ( www.fictionpress.com/~rosemccann )I like your poetry. =3 "Morning Cycles", especially. How long have you been writing? *inflicts writing on tree beetle instead* Since you were so kind as to read my writing, I thought I'd read some of yours. I read the first chapter of The Autumn Court and I would be doing you a terrible disservice to tell you that....
I was not immediately drawn in and drooling for more! xd
You seem to be an excellent writer. I enjoyed the prose! 3nodding
Oh, and I've been writing since about second or third grade... eight or nine years, I guess. And yourself?
My first poems were always about four lines long, pairs of couplets. That sort of thing. Tried my hand at writing stories, too, but I simply never could finish them. neutral On that note, I have a deep respect for your ability to both begin and end stories, or at least keep them going. mrgreen

Not really sure. I'm not necessarily that good at ending things, though. ninja I've been neglecting all of my stories for months and months, and I have loads of things that have never been finished. I get the feeling it's a common problem. xP

Hehe. . . my mom and my dad both write shitloads of poetry. My mom's got a stack of poems thicker than a dictionary, and my dad's got a folder full of song lyrics that weighs more than the guitar he plays with them. xp
I've only written lyrics to about 70 songs, but I don't even bother counting my poems, because I make them up whenever I have 5 minutes to spare and the situation calls for it. xp
