During spring, we often enjoy the beauty of butterflies, but are you aware of the struggle they endure to become a butterfly? Read the following story.
One day a man saw a butterfly, shuddering on the sidewalk, locked in a seemingly hopeless struggle to free itself from its now useless cocoon.
Feeling pity, the man took a pocket knife, carefully cut away the cocoon and set the butterfly free. To his dismay, it lay on the sidewalk, convulsed weakly for a while and died.
A biologist later told him, 'That was the worst thing you could have done! A butterfly needs that struggle to develop the muscles to fly. By robbing him of the struggle, you made him to weak to live.'
Just remember that our daily struggles are constantly building our own muscles and wings so that one day we too will soar!

i have seen it before...but couldnt remember how it went until got the newsletter from children with special needs......ispiration for us all...butterflies can be very moving xd 3nodding

there's a lot of truth in that story, we often need to struggle to survive, but it does make us stronger in the long run 3nodding

what a neat story... Maybe I should pay more attention to things like that instead of always feeling like I am the only one facing the problems I am...

My sister and I had been talking about that little story a couple weeks back, and it was nice to find it here... lost alot of good stuff on my uncooperative computer, but now I have a chance to save a little something I enjoy ...
... and to think, 20 or 25 years ago saving something like that would have been done in a journal, pen and paper most likely, found in a book or clipped from a newspaper or magazine, ack! I think my computers are enslaving me in some odd way that is hard to explain ninja
