Now that I have a few posts and votes I am releaseing my reason for putting up this poll. I am currently working on writeing a story. I have a main character allready but not a real storyline. I'm writeing a story about a supervillan and whanted to see if writeing about a villan and having the villan win was in any way what someone wants to read.

As I said I have no storyline yet so any suggestions are welcome. However I have a little info I'll give away on my main character.

His supervillan name is nuke. His one and only power is the ability to controll radaition. I figured a lot of super heroes have something radioactive give them their powers so why not cut the crap and just have a naturally born power to controll it. He got into the supervillan buisness in college after finding he wasn't very good at anything he tried to major in and couldn't get any more financial aid. He started his villan buisness to pay for school and make a liveing. After he graduated he found it was so profitable he just was going to stick with it. He's an odd villan in that he will never kill someone just for being there. He'll kill you if you draw a weapon or make an aggressive move. Otherwise he lets you live. He is unlike other supervillans in that when it comes to fighting if he didn't have powers he would be a wimp. He can't fly or even run very fast nor can he deal more damage in a punch than any normal human. He has a few different ways of useing his powers and as the story progresses he will keep figureing out more. I created a few so far.

Abilitys sample:
-Single Shot Blade: He creates a sword of radaition powerful enough to voporize anything it touches however it can only be used for one or two slashes as Nuke is not a good swordsman. Normally used to damage things or slice through an enemy vehicle.
-Nuke Minion: He gathers a great deal of radiation and forms a minion he can make attack for him while he is buisy elsewhere. If hit by radiation the minion will last longer. Often used to watch his back as he emties a vault or does something similar. It only lasts about a minute without being hit by radaition or being in a radioactive environment. He doesn't have this at first.
-Poision: Gives radiation poisioning to a target
-Boil: Creates weakened skin on a targes and sometimes boiled blood on a small airea. Used to create a weak spot for an easy target because Nuke can't fight.
-Regenerate: Irridiates a section of any liveing target includeing himself to cause cells to quickly multiply in that airea. It acts as a temporary heal to minor wounds but nothing perminent as the cells are weaker then normal. In other words once the "healed" person is out of the fighting they should still receive actual medical attention.
I have more but will not give away all of them. He starts knowing all these and possibly one more I haven't released (nuke minion excluded). I'm not going to give it all away now am I?

And what about the fact that he dosen't move fats why is he not caught? He has a motorcycle! What else would a supervillan like this use to excape? A mustang?
What can kil him? Anything that can kill a human except radaition. Finally a supervillan that can be stopped in his tracks by a speeding bullet. (Take note writers of new heroes.)
What's his alter ego? Why have an alter ego? Life is hard enough without liveing two of them at once. He made a grandeos mansion in smalltown USA as if to say I'm a villan, and I don't care what you have to say about it!

I didn't read that huge post that you placed their 2nd, but I do feel that the author has given up if the hero cannot win. If the villian wins, then, what's the point of the story? He failed but he tried his best? NO! It's the author saying, "I couldn't think of anything, so he lost" yeesh, I'm surprised that no one thought of that.

i read the whole thing...there really isn't any story in there yet...the bulk of the post is describing Nuke's powers.

I'm gonna reserve my comments until there's more to the "story."
