Lunar Song Replies:Actually, I HAVE listened to Hawthorne Heights. I tried giving that band a chance. The first song I ever heard by them was "Saying Sorry" and I HATED it. It was just the most HORRIBLE sounding thing that I've ever heard. Like, Avril Lavigne bad. The lyrics didn't help it, either. I'm glad you gave me the definition in attempting to sound like you actually KNOW something, congratulations. They AREN'T different, they're all the same. They are the same as pity mongers all over the ******** world. I HAVE been somewhat beaten by my father, not to a point where I have bled, but I have been hit. (and not just a 'slap' either). I DO know how much it hurts, and I DO something to correct what HAS happened, not living in misery and disowning my life because something BAD happened and I refuse to move on. (Like these "emos" do.) You're emo because your hair goes past your nose? NOW who doesn't know what they are talking about? I do have an 'emo' friend, and she's a beautiful, kind, intelligent person. I KNOW that not all Emos slit their wrists and listen to Hawthorne heights. In fact, you can't even BE emo, you can't BE a genre of music--- and yet, there is this new trend called "EMO" spreading everywhere like a damned disease. It's not about what Hawthorne Heights' music is about, it's about the LYRICS that suck like crap, and the SOUND of the music that SOUNDS like crap. LOOK, I do hate the style EMO when it comes to music. BUT, I realize people have their own opinion and if they like that music, then so be it, I don't care or have a problem with that. ( I will not categorize ir as New Rock, because it's not Rock.)
What I have a problem with is the people that are starting the trend "EMO" as if they can be a type of music genre. People who are trying to be "different", when all they are doing is proving how incredibly alike they are. I am against these people who have been given the beauty of life, and chose to live it in misery and then complain about it.

It only seems fitting to put quotations around 'emo', because it IS just a trend. EMO is a type of ******** MUSIC, and you can't BE it. In fact, if you think that you belong to any sort of trend or label, then you are not different in any way, shape or form. I don't think I am smart because I know an 'uncommon' word, and even if I did, that's not REALLY an uncommon word at all. Heh, referring to me as a twelve year old trying to act cool---- Nice attempt to dampen my ego, but it really didn't work. Do you want to know why?
